As a Asian native I grew up on Pho and it's bland here...we've given this place many tries and have never been satisfied or happy leaving. Only thing I'd recommend are their po-boys. There was a time it even took almost an hr to get our food when there was 2 or 3 tables. read more

My wife and I ate here last week and really enjoyed it. The service was fast and friendly. We had never eaten Vietnamese food before so we had no idea what to order. That is when our server, Jeffry, came to our rescue. He was extremely patient and explained the menu items. We started with shrimp and pork spring rolls. Recently ordered the spring rolls and the beef pho. I added extra noodles to my order and it's totally worth it. Had it delivered and it arrived sooner than the app suggested. The chicken wings were delicious!!! Definitely try those. The beef meatball pho was flavorful and the broth was good. We also got a pork belly and skewered pork rice dish but I found the meats on there to be a bit bland. We came on a Saturday night around 6pm and the service was very quick. Is it possible to have a favorite? I LOVE this place. Just stopped in earlier today for their soft opening. The owners are so welcoming and so is the entire staff. The place is so clean. They did a wonderful job with the use of space. There are several tables in the patio near a water feature. So serene! Plants located throughout the restaurant. The menu has many offerings to accommodate just about anyone. I also like the branding and the music in the Background. Truly authentic Vietnamese food. They serve freshly squeezed sugar cane and orange juice just like in Vietnam. I ordered the pork and shrimp spring rolls, grilled chicken banh mi, and pho. The banh mi is legit. It is served on a French baguette and only costs $5!! You can't beat that! I highly recommend it!! You're missing out if you don't try... pho was so good i did not need to use sriracha or hoisin. I think I found my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant! I have been there twice now and have been very satisfied with the food. The first time I got the pork and shrimp vermicelli bowl as well as the cold cut banh mi sandwich. Both were delicious. The banh mi is amazing and reminded me of my favorite sandwich shop back in Houston. The second time I got the steak and brisket pho, which was also very good and flavorful. Also their Vietnamese ice coffee is so good. A must order! The decor is modern and clean and their branding is very trendy and cool. So happy to have this place in my neighborhood. We keep coming back for more.... Been here at least once every 2 weeks. Have yet to be dissapointed with the food... Their Vietnamese fried chicken was quite good. Unique and unlike any other fried chicken I've had. It's a combination sweet barbeque and good old deep fried chicken. read more

Bao is a stylish beautiful new restaurant at the perfect location on Perkins Road. I love having a healthy Vietnamese options at this location. The prices are reasonable, portions are plentiful and the food is top notch. Added bonus is their homemade roasted chili sauce as a garnishment. It's out of this world! I highly recommend! read more

My SO and I went for the first time last night and ordered the rare beef and the chicken Pho. Both were delicious, although the chicken had a more bland flavor. She also ordered the Almond Milk Tea which was out of this world good. Staff was at tentative and helpful with recommendations as well. We will definitely be going back, and look forward to trying out some of the appetizers as we just got entrees this time around! read more

I am so excited that this restaurant exists! Everything was so fresh and so flavorful. Our service was perfect, the food was perfect...just such a great experience. The two restaurants that were in this spot before had terrible service and food...so this was a great surprise. The fried rice was some of the best we've ever had, anywhere. Grilled pork spring rolls were ice cold, indicative that they were most likely pulled from the refrigerator and not fresh. I just wasn't a fan. I got the combination plate and I just couldn't get into it. There were some noodles on there that tasted like what I imagine dried old flesh would taste like, I had to spit it out. Egg cake didn't really float my boat either BUT take all this with a grain of salt because I'm not very experienced with Vietnamese cuisine, so maybe that's why I didn't like it. This establishment was one that I was looking forward to. I came in with high hopes after viewing the interior design and the outside dining area. Immediately we were greeted with a friendly waitress ready to take our drinks. After receiving our drinks we went ahead and made an order. This is where everything starts going downhill. After ordering I waited approximately 45-60 minutes to get my food. During this time, I had already finished my water and did not even get asked for a refill. I had ordered a pho dish, but did not get hoisin nor sriracha sauce to compliment the dish. I asked for the sauces and it took another 20-30 minutes just for her to bring it after two reminders. Prior to the arrival or he sauces, I had decided to just eat it as it is. I was only given about 4 little pieces of meat and no spoon to drink the broth. I can tell you right now that the pho was below average in quality and not worth the price of about $11. Around this time I decided to just ask for the bill to get out as soon as possible. Of course they did not come after 20 minutes so I decided to go inside and ask once again. I go in and see waitresses and other missing from the restaurant interior and had to look around. Well, to my surprise I could hear them within he kitchen area just talking with each other. I could not go in as the door said employees only. I waited outside the door at the bar area for about 20-30 more minutes just for one to come out so I could finally pay my bill and leave. My total time in this one establishment alone was about 2 hours and 45 minutes. Only 20 minutes of that time was eating and the rest was waiting. If you want a Vietnamese restaurant to go to I would recommend Little Saigon as they are cheaper, have MUCH better service, and the food there is top notch. Thanks for taking your time to read this review and do not take it as over exaggeration because I literally started a timer after a certain amount of waiting. read more
