I wouldn't have known that this place existed if not for ATL Burger Week and Inman Park Festival. We rode here on our bikes. It's about two blocks away from the Beltline and it wasn't difficult to find. There was a nice large rack in the front for bicycle parking. The owner? stopped by and talked to us for a min about our experience and the food. He was pretty nice. This place is pretty small. The angel burger was special for the week; it was delicious and worth the price of $5 for burger week. I wasn't sure if it was on their main menu. I like BBQ sauce but my wife is not a huge fan. It was messy but I enjoyed it. I got a side of breakfast potatoes for $4 with our burgers. The portion was kind of small for the price. Most of the time the price is reflected in the location and not necessarily the quality of the food. I didn't try anything else on the menu except for the limited time burger but it left a good impression. Would I come here again? Probably not. The location is far from my place and parking is difficult in this area. I'd really have to be in the area for me to visit again. read more

This little restaurant/bar has a neighborhood feel, indoor and outdoor seating, fresh flowers on the tables, televisions, and board games on hand. It airs next to some large apartment communities and right off the Beltline. I ordered, and enjoyed the Bantam chicken sandwich minus the bread: grilled chicken with bacon, mushrooms, onions Parmesan cheese, jalapeño aioli. It's typically served on challah bread. It was cheesy and would make for a messy sandwich. Be prepared with some extra napkins! The sweet potato fries side was just okay. My daughter ordered the Bantam Burger with Poblano peppers, caramelized onions, portobello mushroom, Brie cheese on brioche. The burger was cooked perfectly juicy medium, but unfortunately was bland. The burger needed some salt/pepper, and while my daughter loves Brie, it added nothing to this burger. I took a bite, and I agree. Look forward to trying other menu items on my next visit! read more

The waitress was extremely rude to us. We ordered drinks and waters for the table, asked us if we were "okay" when we were completely sober, and then was angry that some of us ordered waters. We then sat at the restaurant for 40 minutes without our drinks, watching her bring them to other tables. She smirked at us and continued to be extremely rude without giving us service. read more

This place was awesome!! TIMMY our server was fantastic. The place had a great atmosphere to it. The Cuban and the chicken Sammy were to die for, quite literally we were obsessed. The sides were also phenomenal. I would eat here every day if I could. read more

We came to watch the final four. Drinks arrived 20 minutes after ordering, food an hour after that. I ordered the tacos and sweet potato fries and my partner ordered the steak. Both items were served cold. Tacos were inedible - tortillas were all split open with barely anything inside. Server came once to check in on us. Asked three staff members to turn the game back on, as someone decided to put the Hawks game on instead, with two minutes left in the Kansas game. One server responded, "Someone else already asked, so stop asking." Disappointing food. Disappointing service. read more

I give this place 5 stars because it's my boyfriends favorite spot, it's walkable distance from my place, and it's got such cute ambiance and it's a great spot to hang out with friends or colleagues after work. My boyfriend really likes the beer here so that's all I can base my drink review on since I don't enjoy drinking beer as much. I got the chicken wings here and I thought they were pretty good and a nice appetizer to compliment the evening. I really enjoy the outside seating here as there are multiple heaters to warm up the soul and string lights to brighten up the mood. Otherwise, I've seen the indoor seating get quite crowded and sometimes it's difficult to even get the bartender's attention because it's so popular. read more

Bantam Pub is a great place small bar I'd describe it as a hole in the wall. I swung by for brunch after picking a random new place that was in the passbook (a Godsend). They have an outdoor patio and the weather was perfect. I had the fried chicken brunch entree which was recommended by my waiter. One word, phenomenal. The service was pretty good overall. I would definitely come by and check it out. I didn't appreciate the dogs on the patio (as the patio is small) and the owners didn't seem to have to keep their dogs in order and one kept coming up under my table/chair. read more

I went there for the first time and received poor service from the beginning. I never got the opportunity to taste the food that brought me raved about from the night before. Here is the partial timeline; 1. I walked in, never greeted. 2. 5 minutes later my publicist walks in and we decided to sit at the bar 3. never greeted, never provided or offered a menu, drink, etc. 4. My publicist asks the patron sitting to her left if we could look at her menu 5. The bartender (never received a name or hello) speaks and asks everyone but to only 2 black females at the bar if they needed anything, are you good, can i get you anything else, are you ready to order, etc. 6. Publicist has to say "excuse me can we get menus please" Needless to say there is a lot more that took place but will not be disclosed publicly yet as I have called back immediately following to file a formal complaint and have been waiting 2 days now to hear from the General Manager or above. The negative, hostile treatment from the staff made the ambiance terrible for me. Just as dark as the decor and lights in the establishment and bathroom, so is my overall outlook of this establishment. I do not feel it is a place for my kind to patronize. read more

Fantastic brunch spot. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the fried chicken and biscuits. We had mimosas that were good as well and our server was excellent. He was very friendly and attentive the entire meal. Also there was ample outdoor seating and it was dog friendly. If you get the chance, you should definitely give this place a try! read more

Solid food, decent beer selection. Food is mostly American, though I usually find myself ordering the brats-which come with purple sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Casual environment, easy to just sit back and relax. Although the parking lot is small, there is ample street parking. Great little bar...and yet large because it extends itself into different other small pockets of spaces.... which makes more sense in warmer weather as some of the spaces are outdoor. The cave had a pretty and eccentric staff or maybe it was the dim lighting that made them seem this way. People were gathered in quiet whispers... some lovers eating what seem to look like food they were savoring, some others gathered as friends discussing perhaps the state of the world today over some hard liquor. Then there was the local guy who stopped by to order takeout while he drank a beer, and watched the continuation of the basketball game he probably was already watching at home. This place was definitely cool, and accommodating to many types of "needs". read more

While this place has outside seating, they had NO COVID PROTOCOLS. THE WAITER AND STAFF DID NOT WEAR MASKS. The food was mediocre, but even if it were excellent I would not go back there until they implement health standards such as masks for ALL staff and social distancing. None of the other diners were being safe either, groups of folks sitting closely together and entering/exiting without masks. This must be some kind of anti-mask crowd. If you care about your health STAY AWAY! read more

I've been here a few yes for brunch. It's good value. They seem to always be out of draft beers. Meals are simple and well done. It's not fancy. I had a veggie omlet with breakfast potatoes and a biscuit for $10. It's nice to sit outside on a nice day. I hear the burgers are good. Review update. Came back and had the Cuban for dinner and it was excellent. Fries great too. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite and it wasa great choice! The patio is dog friendly and the fans make it comfortable, especially in the Georgia heat. With sincere apologies to Troy S, I must add my pen to those acclaiming Batman, er, Bantam Pub. Really nice place. It's small, as noted. With just a few tables in the main area and a smallish bar, they definitely need the patio to accommodate the hoards certain to flock here. As it was for us, coming pretty early on a Saturday, we were lucky to score two prime bar seats after a couple got up and left as we came in. The rest of the bar was taken. So, good start. If the bar would have been unavailable, I think we would have sat on the patio. The only inside table with seats was the one right next to the door. I can see as the weather cools (again) that spot is not where you'll want to sit. Drinks: spouse had a couple of wine samples served up to her before choosing. Nice. I went with a rye IPA on draft. Looking over the draft list, it's not bad but I can see them needing to add a porter, perhaps. They had one stout, I think, but it's high gravity and that isn't for everyone. They have Guinness. I was happy with my choice. Bantam has a very nice menu, although they do seem to focus on lobster. Which is great, if you're not allergic to it as I am. Coming off reading Yelp reviews, I chose the lamb burger and spouse went with salmon on arugula. I insisted we also get the veggie plate and so should you. Lamb burger: excellent. I was a little wary of the feta as it's not my first choice for burger cheese, but it works really well on Bantam's version. Good fries - I see no reason to splurge for the sweet potato fires offered as an extra cost option. Salmon also very tasty. Here, if you're not one to use a lot of salad dressing, the arugula bed serves more as presentation than anything. The dressing on the side, however, is very nice. I think the veggie plate won out. The brussels sprout are curried just right - not over-spiced; the carrots roasted to perfection; the pureed cauliflower divine. I found myself using the cauliflower as a dip for the fries. With winter setting in, I may delay a return visit. I like bar seating but that very nearby door worries me. So, Bantam is yours until the spring, Troy. But I'll be back. read more

I've been here twice, once for dinner and again more recently for brunch. The food has been wonderful each time! The shrimp tacos I had were perfectly seasoned and had a very fresh slaw on top. For brunch, I had an andouille sausage omelet with hash and my gosh - it was better than most of the brunch places I've been to. Bantam pub is a hidden gem. My boyfriend had another omelet with grits and he finished the whole thing. Great service and great people there. They are safe with covid precautions as well! read more

Top notch for a local neighborhood bar. I'm here 2-3x per week. The food here is great. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich, French fries, hangar steak and the salads. They frequently have specials that are fantastic. Service here is next level. Kyle is a bartender that makes you feel like a long time friend. Definitely come here for drinks and a bite. read more

This is a cute quaint little pub. I was a bit disappointed because I really wanted to try the mussels but they were sold out So I got the lamb burger with fries and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and creamed corn. The fried chicken dish was absolutely delicious. I was very surprised about how good the potatoes and corn turned out to be! Definitely a must try. The lamb burger on the other hand was subpar. The bread was yuckkkkk, kind of stale like, I would prefer a brioche type of bun but the lamb did have a decent flavor and the fries were really good. The waitress was really nice so, Overall it was an ok experience. I would return because I really wanna taste those mussels lol read more

It's a very average place in my opinion. The ambience is nice. The service is good but a little slow. I did not enjoy the food. We got tacos and we got a salad. I went to very hungry but I did not eat my salad. It didn't look appealing and the tacos were all right. Very bar ask food. Very average place. The ambience is great and there's tons of people there to socialize with. It's located in a great area. The street parking. It's not very expensive. I would go there to hang out and get drinks but I really wouldn't go here to get food. Very average. read more

We came for brunch on a Sunday. Not sure what it was but the waitress lacked a little motivation and personality. The food was good. We ordered two mimosas ($6). They were well made. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelette with egg whites and potatoes instead of grits. They were good. Nothing to rave about. The atmosphere is nice. We sat outside on a sunny day. read more

A "Bantam" is a type of chicken. Now that I have the facts out of the way, I'll begin with the review of my experience. We visited this small establishment on a rainy day during Burger Week. We noticed they had a small herb garden growing in the back right of the parking lot, super cool. The entrance was a little confusing because we didn't know if we should just have a seat or wait to be seated. We sad at the porch side with the plastic flaps over the windows. The patron's second hand smoke kept blowing through the gaps in the plastic, which was gross to me. The burger was good & came with fries & ketchup. It had some walnuts on it, which I was saving until last, but the server took away my plate before I was finished eating. We had been hanging out a while, because it was a rainy day, just talking & drinking. But, but, there were still fries & walnuts I wanted to eat! Anyway, this place is within walking distance of the belt line so I'd probably come here for a casual drink with an interesting crowd, but I wouldn't drive here because the parking situation isn't great. The lot is very small & you'll have to find street parking if it's full. read more

Best off the beaten path, low key brunch spot. I always think of coming here for a burger and a drink, but I recently had their brunch and they definitely don't get enough credit for it. In the past month I've had Sunday brunch here twice. Now this isn't your fancy bougie brunch. It's got a dive type of vibe but it's really clean and the staff are super friendly. There are several seating areas including air conditioned tables and bar seating on the left, several seats on the right side which has open windows (can get a lil warm in there), and a scattering of mix-match tables and chairs outside. You can seat yourself anywhere. They have a small free parking lot however there are many street parking options as well. Now to the brunch. The menu has some sweet brunch items and a ton of omelette options. I don't recall seeing anything priced over $12 either! Between my last two visits I've tried: Lamb bacon omelette Plain pancake Chicken sausage Ham and eggs plate Fosters French toast Grits and breakfast potatoes sides The omelettes are huge and come with toast and grits. I actually couldn't finish the lamb bacon omelette due to the size. The thick grits are solid and didn't need any touching up, perfect. The chicken sausage is a large link with so much flavor and a crispness when you bite it. And oh my gosh the French toast and the pancake were amazing. I can't even decide which was my fav. They have a full bar and do mimosas and other brunch drinks. I wanted a bellini and the bartender was nice enough to made me something similar with grapefruit since they didn't peach. They're not stingy with the drinks either. It was a one and done on this day. I can't wait to come here for another laid back delicious brunch where there's not an hour wait. read more

This was a quick Wednesday night stop. I was actually quite surprised that I had never thought of coming before as I really appreciate a good small neighborhood bar. The atmosphere is not quite hole in the wall not quite super fancy see my pics for reference :P Also pretty dope is that they play music level. Loud enough so you hear it clearly and yet soft enough that you can easily speak to whomever you're with. Street parking is ample. Service is solid and attentive. What I liked most about this spot are the prices. Super reasonable. Their 4 specialty cocktails are $8.5 and solidly strong. In addition, while simple they are quite delicious. One of the best takes on a Dark and Stormy that i've had in the city. I'm not even a vodka drinker and yet I kept stealing sips out of my friend's drink. She had their take of a Moscow Mule. We also had a calamari appetizer. Ridiculous amount of food for the $10. And quite delish. It sits on a bed of arugula and aioli decorates the plate. Spray it with the lemon wedge and you shall be in heavy. I honestly would never have thought that calamari and arugula went together but adds another kick of subtle spiciness that really works. All in all a really good experience. Good job Bantam! read more

I love Bantam Pub! I usually come here when I want to have a chill night out with good drinks and good food. It's really fitting for just a variety of occasions and they are open late. This has become my "MacLaren's" even though I live 10 minutes away. And free parking on the beltline? A thousand times yes. They have a huge patio which has come in handy during covid. Even if you're outside, you still get table service and they are really good about checking on you. Everyone is so nice. The food is not your average pub food, it's better. Definitely get the calamari! The burgers are also amazing. The loaded fries are listed as a side but the portions is huge and great for sharing. I have not ever had a bad thing here. And they also have brunch! Basically, if you're looking for a chill fun pub with good food then Bantam is IT! read more

The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

I went on Saturday night for a friend's birthday party and I was really impressed. We had a reserved room on the side and the staff was extremely nice. There was always someone checking on us to get us drinks and food. I didn't eat in there, but all my friends that ate there that night were saying that it was delicious. I am already planning on celebrating my birthday in there. I highly recommend for drinks and group parties. Oh! There is only one decent server in this restaurant and he should go work somewhere else because everyone else in this place is worthless. The food sucked the drinks sucked and we never saw the server who was supposed to wait on us. The GM and the hostess were clueless air heads. Thanks to the one guy who could see we were waiting around for a half an hour without service and took our orders even though we weren't his table. It was a terrible choice for our meet up with friends. It's hard to have a good time and talk when you're starving and being ignored by the staff. read more

We waited here a long time on a mostly empty side of the bar without having anyone acknowledge us for a beer. Three staff stood around one screen for a while, and it is okay if your are busy, but just acknowledge our existence. We asked one staff, and they said "the bartender is over there," then proceeded to stand next to us, not taking any order. They also flaunt an autographed hat by Ted Nugent with an AR15 over the bar. This is something not that noticeable from the outside. The food was preselected by YouTube but everything I had was delicious! And they made sure to have options for people to select. And glad there weren't any nuts (I have an allergy). Oh and the drinks were great! And I loved that servers would come around to ask if you wanted drinks and you didn't always have to go to the bar (not sure if that is a regular situation). The only thing I disliked was that volume on the TVs were so low that we couldn't hear the game or the halftime show even when people mostly stopped talking. It doesn't have to blowing our ears out but we should be able to at least hear the commentators and performers. Paid Parking is available in a garage to the right of Painted Park (the next side street over across from Vinoteca. Or you can try to find FREE street parking.
