I had them access a suspension issue with my 68 Ford Mustang Fastback GT and it was analyzed and a course of action was determined and communicated to me. After having them explain the issue I gave them the okay for the approach and it worked out perfectly. In the process they were able to point several items that were done incorrectly during the original restoration and made those fixes to make it right and communicated those issues as they were discovered. They have my complete confidence moving forward with this classic car. Fuel injection will be next and I am completely confident they will do it correctly and I trust this team 100%.

Avoid this shop. I brought my car in for a no-start issue, diagnosed as bad fuel and a failed…read morestarter. The repair process was painful, requiring 15 to 20 calls and texts just to get updates. When I picked up the car, a strong fuel smell filled the cabin, and gas gushed out of the back end when I filled the tank--a botched reinstallation that created a severe safety hazard. They took it back to fix it, but returned it with a broken gas gauge, a damaged stereo faceplate, and an empty tank. When I asked Ryan about the lack of communication, the broken stereo, and the missing fuel, he showed little accountability and claimed to know nothing about the damaged head unit. He also insisted on giving me $50 for the missing fuel, but I only accepted $25 thinking as long as the issue is resolved I'll eat it but here I am with a damaged gauge and the fuel smell creeping back in. It has been weeks of complete silence from them regarding these ongoing issues. I am bitterly disappointed to leave this review as I have been patient, not aggressive and never did. I complain about the cost, as I truly hoped this could become my go-to shop for trusted vehicle maintenance, but I am now forced to pay another mechanic out-of-pocket just to fix their mistakes and buy a new stereo.

However, after the service, I was charged $123, and the air filter was not even replaced. I was also told that my car required a more expensive, higher quantity oil, which I later found out was not true. As someone who trusted the mechanic's advice, I feel that I was misled and overcharged. I believe customers deserve honest information and fair pricing. Unfortunately, I did not receive either, and I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience.

I really had to sit on the thought of writing this review after a somewhat heated discussion with…read moreDan. I have been to Ray Scott Automotive a number of times. I originally took my Ram 1500 for an oil change and they did a great job for a great price! Their prices are extremely fair, I give them that. However, let me warn you that they do not call prior to working on your vehicle, I was never informed how much it was going to be to "fix" my AC, they just went ahead and worked on it, and expected me to fork out $400 for Freon. Ok, I paid and was a little unhappy that I was never informed how much it would cost. The next day, my AC still wasn't working. Mind you it was 98 degrees, with no AC having to drive my daughter across town to soccer practice. I spoke with one of the mechanics and was informed to take it back and that they would look at it. Well again, they worked on it without consent and now expected me to pay another $200 to "fix" the original problem I took it in for. Dan was argumentative saying "it was fixed the first time" and demanded that I pay. This review is simply to caution others, and share my experience with Ray Scott Automotive.

So I did the minimal with them and would say that as a whole, the experience was great.

After a few days they called me to pick it up after driving into the work I noticed the leak was still there looked like nothing had been fixed it was Friday and soonest I could bring it back was Monday. Over the weekend I realized they had left my radiator cap off and my car almost overheated. If I didn't have a gallon of water and my buddy following me I'm guessing my car would have been done. I took it back to have them fix the leak, they ended up fixing the leak and I asked them to consider what happened and call me. They never got back in touch and didn't even pay for the radiator cap I had to buy and the additional coolant they cost me. If they want to... seems they can do good work but seems they lack follow-up and customer service.
