I have lived in Toledo for a long time. Bangkok Kitchen is THE Thai restaurant I compare with whenever I go to another Thai place. Even when I lived in Boston for a few years, I couldn't seem to find a place that had good food that compared with this favorite! The size of lunch items entrees are slightly smaller and priced less than dinner sizes. I usually pick up dinner entrees in the afternoon, and I have to tell them that I would like a dinner size. The dinner sizes are HUMONGOUS! I usually get the pad-thai, and just put it in the fridge and can get 3 portions out of 1 entree. Also I love their fried Catfish in tomato curry (Gang Pla Dook). I love the hot and sour soup, which is very savory. Another family favorite is the pinapple fried rice. This place is so popular, that I run into friends dining here occasionally when I am picking up food. I don't mind the dining area, I love it when the place is crowded! I love people watching. So I originally loved this place, however I no longer will go here. I had an awful customer service experience in which I was wrongfully charged on my credit card for something my friend had ordered. Without saying sorry, instead of adjusting my credit card amount, they wanted to adjust my friend's credit card charge adding an extra two dollars for the soda that was wrongfully charged to me - WITHOUT HER KNOWING. I told them that that was ridiculous and it is silly to mess with my friend's card (and probably illegal) when it was their mistake. Then one of the waitresses suggested "Well, can't your friend just owe you two dollars instead?" Horrible customer service. I used to manage shifts in a restaurant and I know none of my workers would have given such a rude suggestion. I ended up walking out. I usually go there often, but I am completely turned off by the rudeness of these waitresses. read more

Consistently delicious food. Never had a bad meal here. We order a lot of appetizers because most Thai places don't have such a good selection of them. Karee puff and E-san sausage are our two favorites. E-san is a region in Thailand aka Issan. Our favorite Curry is Kang Pa which means jungle curry. I have been eating their food for over 10 years. It is the best Thai food in the Toledo area. It is located in suburban Maumee at a strip mall. All of the food is flavorful and the ingredients always taste fresh. It has a small dining area which can get busy on weekends. The service is always friendly and fast. The only gripe I have is that the spiciness levels are not consistent. It is kind of a crap-shoot as to what "medium" is going to mean on any given day. Sometimes it tastes about as spicy as a roast beef sandwich, other times your mouth is burning. That said, it is still the best in town and always leaves my tummy happy. read more

Bangkok Kitchen offers decent Thai food with good service at reasonable prices. I don't know what authentic Thai is supposed to taste like, but I've never been wowed by the food here. Not to say it was bad, but it has always been kind of bland for me, that is, good but not great. Maybe I have just been ordering the wrong things. I have been here a couple of times, and I think I got the chicken Pad Normai one time and chicken Pad Almond another. The soup was okay, but not especially memorable. I didn't leave here thinking, "I can't wait to come back!", but I didn't leave unsatisfied either. No complaints, but no big compliments either. A solid 3-star restaurant for my tastes. If you really love Thai food, maybe this place will be a 5-star for you. read more

We came because of all the great reviews. It was ok. We've eaten a lot of Thai and it was just ok. The tomahawk soup was a nice sour flavor but was mi can watery. The. Curry was more like a soup and could have used more flavor and spice. The chicken wings had good flavor but pretty dry. The drunken noodle was good but we liked the peanut sesame the best. The rum and coke was huge!..worth the money! The dried rice was really good though. I think because we were s party of six with automatic gratuity the waitress didn't pay us much attention. I had to go up to bar to get more water, and my boxes. It was s little busy but it would have been ice to check in on us. It was an ok place but not worth the extra drive from hotel. read more

The food is delicious! That alone will make me go back. The service, however, is terrible. Got there early around 5pm on a Saturday evening and there were plenty of open tables. The hostess sat us, gave us menus, and poured water. Then we waited. And waited. Menus were closed so not like we were still looking at them. About 15 min later a waitress comes over and takes our order. Then disappears. A busser brought the food out rather quickly. My friend was supposed to get extra spicy sauce on the side but didn't. No chance of asking because the waitress was nowhere to be seen or did not even come back once to check on the table. We eventually asked the hostess for a box and check after waiting 20 min after we had finished eating. There were still open tables when we left so the waitress could have checked on us. Not impressed with the service at all. Ordered fried tofu, spring rolls, and chicken pad Thai. All delicious although there could have been more chicken in the pad Thai. read more

Good food. Have been several times. However tonight arrived at 9. They close at 10. At 9:45 the staff had placed all chairs on the tables except ours. My husband and I like to find restaurants that offer variety from the normal meat and potatoes or bar food menus in our area. Bangkok kitchen certainly is a welcome change. Definitely not the best Thai I've ever had. This was a quick stop for me on a road trip through the area and happened to be staying at a hotel nearby and decided to try it out given the other great reviews. Being from Seattle, the Thai restaurants are plentiful and very good. We ordered the Pad Kee Mao and one of the Curry's. The curry wasn't too bad, but the Pad Kee Mao was awful. The one compliment I can offer is that I agree that the spices were done perfectly, the medium was perfectly medium. read more

Really liked this little place. I had the summer rolls with chicken. On their own they would have been a bit dry but with the peanut sauce they served them with they were excellent. I also had the red massuman curry medium. To me medium wasn't very spicy and I'll probably go to hot next time. But the curry flavor was great.
