nice atmosphere you can watch your favorite sports game or maybe catch a live band. the servers are always nice and the food comes out pretty quick. I love their happy hour specials and the taco special. It's a great spot for a great bite to eat or a date night, I could easily become a regular here.

Seemed more like a bar trying to serve Mexican food, honestly. Service was good and it looked like during the week they had really good food and drink specials (we came on a Sunday afternoon). Again, felt more like a good bar serving Mexican food. I got the Pork burrito and they do large slices of pork instead of shredded and I just didn't really like it. My kids each got the pork tacos and same thing. Large slices that were too big and too fatty. Not really that good. My wife got the vegetarian burrito and it was actually the best thing out of the bunch. Not bad overall but not great.

Hard shell tacos, order more than 3, these are easy to eat.

Rough, rough, rough. All reviews posted are subjective, so no there is no doubt in my mind that people have had better experiences here. I'm just sharing mines. Let's start with the dishes, they were inexpensive and plenty, I came here with some buddies for Taco Tuesday, and was so happy with the prices and quality. The vibe was great, awesome bar with a great scene and a lot going on. Music was good and the smell of the place indicated it was well taken care of. No qualms from me. If you want to feel taken care of, or if you want to ask questions about the menu, don't come here. Service is busy, busy, busy, and the place is understaffed. 3 servers, is not enough, especially if one of them going to be upset and critical of what we order the whole time.

This review is for their music space. While I have not had food here before, I've had friends tell me it's just ok. I came for their Devil's Night Bash! and had a blast. The bouncer at the front took his job really seriously. He was a bit rude to me and my friends. I'm not sure if this is normal, but it was a cash only event. Thankfully I always have cash on me. For my friends who didn't, there was an ATM near the bathrooms. When you enter, there is a full bar. My friends enjoyed ordering PBRs and mixed drinks. The music space is in a separate section to the right. It feels like a patio space, but indoors (especially with booths in the back). It was pretty small so it was made for an intimate show. I loved the set up they had with movies playing in the background. I'd come back for another show at Bandito's.

Famous empanadas (you get 3)

We visited this restaurant before going to see our friends' band play and thought to get an appetizer (maybe food too, depending if we liked the menu) and a couple of fun drinks. The drinks were fine (see photos for more). The ambiance was warm and eventful. Our server was nice and attentive. Even the bar staff, later in the night, were very energetic and attentive and kept up with their busy room. Still, I was super disappointed in the food we received. The starters/appetizers just don't seem very inspired. I wish they would consider putting a little more love into their menu. I had us (me 'n my date) order the Crispy Stuffed Jalapenos because they sounded like they MIGHT be eventful. They were not. They tasted like a grocery store freezer item. I was SO embarrassed that I ordered them (which is why this review has been in draft mode for so long)! :( So we tried again and ordered their Famous Empanadas which were okay. At this point I didn't want to try any more of their food, and honestly I couldn't really find anything else....like something more on the lighter side to go with our drinks-or even something to split with my date, so we just finished up and headed over to the next room to see our friend's band play! NOTE: This review is from the night of November 25, 2023.

My wife and I along with a friend went here for dinner on a Friday evening. This place is in downtown Richmond and has a small parking lot along with street parking. We were seated right away and the service was good throughout. Two people had fish tacos and I had the classico burrito. Both were very good!! The fish had excellent flavor and the burrito was large, good and very filling. This place appears to have an arcade room but we did not go in there. The food was very good and I plan to be back again at some point.

Half order of shredded chicken nachos (on special during football season to get the 1/2 order on Sundays)

Love Banditos! This is my fave spot in Richmond for nachos (with shredded chicken) but also love the shredded chicken tacos. I go a lot of Sunday evenings and the service is always hit or miss. They seem to not have enough staff. It's always two guys behind the bar but the same two guys wait on tables too. So if the bar is full, then service slacks for people seated in the dining area. Otherwise, good spot for a meal and a beer!

This place has some of the best burritos around. Lots of food-chimichanga, rice, beans-for just one order. The service was quick, even in the later hours of the night. Low light in the performance room adds to the intimate feeling the audience feels. For food and performances, this place is a must!

Stopped in for a beer and food after a day of condo maintenance and was pleasantly surprised by the food. Sat at the bar and started with a big bowl of chips and salsa with a cold one before ordering my meal. Food was tasty, a little spicy and plentiful. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable as is most in Richmond. For happy hour they offer $1 tacos. I chose something else but the tacos looked good. Maybe next time.

I have been to Banditos several times for breakfast, lunch and evening drinks. Love their margaritas. They are a good option to grab few drinks and listen to some music. I don't know why, but we have made it a tradition to visit after we finish the marathon or the 10k. The Breakfast dish portions are generous. The loaded nachos are huge and super tasty. I had the shrimp and grits and thought they were "ok".. Wouldn't order them again. On this last visit, our server seemed a bit distracted and forgot a few things we ordered. They have a small parking lot in addition to the street parking. I have had a great time there on nights where they have had a DJ. 3.5 Stars....

I had not been to Bandito in years.. Food and staff are still great. So glad there is no longer smoking allowed inside.

The food is always good and the service is fairly fast. It's also a great place to go for live music if concert venues aren't your thing!

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

The ambiance can be described as eclectic and casual. It's great for big groups and relaxed lunches. There's a variety of menu options for food and drink. Our server was nice, but she didn't really answer our questions about the menu or substitutions, which was a little inconvenient. Also, we kept having to ask for utensils and napkins, which made our food get a bit cold. The pineapple habanero margarita tasted like spicy pineapple juice and was pretty expensive. It was pretty, but not worth the money. The food also was really average, but the portion sizes were good for sharing. The huitlacoche tacos were a little bland and soggy, the chicken chipotle tacos had a good sauce but were also soggy and the fajitas did not have enough seasoning. Not a restaurant that I would come back to, but I liked it's proximity to other dessert places nearby.

Stopped in on a Monday - with all day happy hour specials for food and drinks. We enjoyed the guacamole, the tacos and the beverages. Celiac- Gluten- free Review…read more Lolita's has my WHOLE heart. Their gluten-free options may not be extensive, but they're enough, and they are done WELL (no dedicated fryers just FYI). Let me also give nuance to my love of Lolita's by saying first and foremost that I had the best cocktail I've ever had here, the Hotboxed Ferrari (Siete Misterios Mezcal, Byrrh, Piña, Campari, Fernet Branca, Cinnamon Deme, Salted Grapefruit Foam). I am rabid for Mezcal. I want to kiss the mixologist who developed this drink, because it is absolutely a balance of flavors that showcases the beautiful and perfect smokiness of Mezcal and good grief I almost fell out after my first sip. *deep breaths* So we just continue riding this wave of joy with the salsa and tostadas. Three types of salsas with unique flavors and different levels of heat. All three incredible. Blue-corn tostadas made in-house. And then a bowl of pozole verde. This damn sopa had me in a chokehold as well because how was everything perfect??? The textures, the flavors...I think I might have forgotten where I was because I got lost in that bowl. Best pozole verde I've ever had. Ordered the Choripapa and Suadero tacos- at this point I really could have ordered just one because your girl was almost at maximum capacity. The tacos are not cheap- ranging from $11-14- but to their credit, they do not skimp on the fillings and the flavors are top tier. Add in those fresh blue corn tortillas and you have a combination that truly did not miss in any way, shape, or form. Only disappointment I encountered the entire night was one of the drinks on the menu not actually being available (the frozen horchata-pumpkin colada), but my bartender made me a horchata coffee cocktail that definitely made up for it. Shout out to her, because she was throwing down on them drinks. So. True artistry experienced throughout the night, from the cocktails to the food. The atmosphere is so cool inside too, definitely a light summery feel which is a nice respite from this crazy winter blast we're experiencing at the moment. Love this spot and highly recommend.
