Buffalo Wings and Fries Chicken Pesto Foccacia with Fries

Went to one of Richmond's classic restaurant and it has become one of my favorite spots to go and it's a plus they're open late night. They have an extensive food menu from breakfast to dinner options. The service is always good. It is a small and cozy spot so if you're coming with a big group keep that in mind. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone. 10/10

Went in for a birthday Brekki for my partner. Never been here before. I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito. The potatoes, however, weren't that good. I would go back to try something else, but not get the potatoes. Service was quick too. Vibes inside were pretty chill and relaxed.

Went to the Sidewalk Cafe for an early dinner and had a great time! The waitress was nice and constantly checking in. Happy hour deals on beers were good, but I wish they had some cocktails on special. Food was delicious with very large portions. The restaurant is very cute and quaint, but can get quite loud. They have TVs which is great if you are trying to catch a game!

I just came to say that this no frills establishment needs no introduction or help with boosting business but I just wanted to say they have a really delicious ceasar salad! It's huge and plentiful! The right amount of dressing. I order it every time I have a craving on the late night!

The Sidewalk Cafe is a great, historic restaurant in the Fan District. They offer a large menu with a wide array of selections. They also have Brunch. I've been here many times! It's a great choice for casual dining and friendly service.

Eggs Sarduci

A great Sunday brunch at the hopping Sidewalk! Cool booths, lively folks, great old restaurant feel meets delicious food. Festive waitstaff hustle the requests. I had the Sarduci. Tasty, not a great homegrown tomato slice, but Cholula makes it all better. The hash browns have a kick and are magnificent. Folks preferred the spicy to the regular Bloody Mary. Very cool vibe.

I really enjoyed dinner at The Sidewalk Cafe. Enjoyably noisy bar vibes with a surpsing deep menu. Friendly service. I hope to be back to enjoy the patio when it gets a little warmer. 10/10 recommend!

Chicken Parmigiana

Sidewalk Cafe is easily one of my favorite places to grab brunch in the Fan. It's a no-frills experience where the food is always good and you never leave hungry. The interior itself can be a bit dark, and has a nice dive bar feel without being dirty. I typically order the Cajun Hash for brunch which is simply massive and always ensures that I have at least one full meal of leftovers for later. The hash is seasoned well and potatoes are cooked through perfectly, being soft while not falling apart. The last time I went, however, I decided to switch things up and for the first time order something off the main menu: the Chicken Parmigiana and a Caesar Salad. The salad was delicious with good flavor without being over dressed, and the chicken was moist with a good balance of cheese to sauce. It was honestly better than what you'll find at many Italian restaurants. And true to form I also left with at least one more meal in hand. The food here is inexpensive, particularly considering the portion size and quality, with entrees costing around $15. The only caveat of coming here - the operation is small and so service can be slow when they're busy. So come with good company, have patience, and just enjoy the Sidewalk Cafe for what it is.

Potato skins

My experience here was good. I came in on a Friday afternoon and was able to find street parking on the side of the building. I walk in and it's a cute neighborhood bar and everyone was super friendly. I got the cheesesteak and potato skins. The cheesesteak I added bacon and it was so good, I also had potato salad as a side. The potato skins were filling and tasty! I will go back to try other items on the menu.

Came for a drink..a piece of ground beef fell out the menu and stained my brand new outfit.

The cauliflower wings were HUGE and the whole table enjoyed them. My partner got the vegan artichoke ("GWARtichoke") burger with tofu ricotta and that was awesome too. Our friend got the tofu banh mi and enjoyed it as well. And there are several more vegan options we didn't get to try this time. Will definitely be back. The atmosphere is.. GWAR! Very neat. And they have a parking lot which is so convenient. Did not love the plastic silverware in little disposable packs. (For dining in, real metal utensils are much appreciated pleeeease). Service wasn't super friendly but maybe it's part of the GWAR schtick (they weren't mean at all, just not the most hospitable). We didn't mind anyway. The food came out fast and they got all our orders right. You order at the bar so it's not like you have a server anyway.

So let me start with this- Everyone should go for the experience. The ambience and GWAR nostalgia…read moreare off the chain. The service was mediocre at best. We actually wondered if it was supposed to be a "Dicks Last Resort " kinda vibe. (The waiter was just this side of rude). The food was ok. The only thing we couldn't get down was the pretzel. It was so salty just looking at it made blood pressure rise. Even with all that though you should still go. It's a fun vibe. Sit and have a beer and take in all the nostalgia.

I've notice their fusion dishes are where they shine now. Whenever we do come, we're able to get a seat immediately. The people who work here are kind. Do know that service can feel a little slow at moments. The space itself is cute and the paintings on the wall are nice. The best thing I've tried here recently were what my friends ordered which were the bulgogi loaded fries and the bulgogi quesadilla. They have a fun time with fusion here! I got the shiitake mushroom savory udon noodles on my last visit and wished they had a bit more flavor. The time before that I got the japchae that was way too oily for me. My fiancé likes this spot a lot, so we do go a couple times a year.

Now let's talk food, because the wings and nachos here are absolutely to die for. The wings come out perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce, and the nachos are piled high and loaded in all the right ways. Every single time I order them I wonder why I ever eat anywhere else. But here's my pro tip -- hit happy hour. Trust me on this one. The daiquiris during happy hour are hands down the best in all of Richmond. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. Fuzzy Cactus has the perfect combination of great food, killer drinks, and even better people. Do yourself a favor and get in there.

Came only for the wings and they definitely live up to the hype. Came out fresh and hot. The wings were huge and perfectly saucy - might be some of my favorite wings in RVA thus far. The buffalo sauce was perfect. We also got the sweet heat which was like a mild bbq sauce with a little bit of heat - the sauce itself was okay but the wings being perfectly cooked made up for it. Will be back again soon as our usual wing spot!
