I know Salt + Smoke has other foods, but I usually order a side of mac and cheese. It's a pretty good mac and cheese, with cracker pieces in it; a cup of it is currently just under $6. This side of mac is enough to get me through several more hours until the next time when I can eat a heartier and healthier meal. All that said about my own dining preferences and limitations, both of my fellow diners liked what they ate and enjoyed sitting on the large patio and watching people and the Halloween street festival. Tip: Don't let the line fool you. There may be a line of 5 or more parties ahead of you waiting for a table for waiting in front of the host stand, but there may be plenty of tables available.

All the guests were saying that it was the best food that they ever had at a wedding and were asking who we used. But I didn't see tater tots on the menu so I switched it up and got smoked salmon with fries, and an order of hushpuppies. I got the salmon and fried up first and both were great. Salmon was smoky and flaky, the fries the hand cut style with skin on. Both tasted great with my favorite coffee BBQ sauce. The hushpuppies came out piping hot with a sweet sauce on the side. The hushpuppies were so good! I will be craving them, thinking about them now, mmm. Line moves quickly, friendly staff, good food, fantastic hushpuppies :)
