I've eaten at Bandanas for over 20 years and this visit was my last. I understand higher prices at all restaurants but this meal was worthless. I ordered a pork dinner platter with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was fantastic. The french fries were actually still crunchy on the inside because they were not cooked! The fries usually are crispy and really good but these weren't edible. The pulled pork was mostly the burnt sections, and those that weren't burnt consisted ofpork fat. I've never seen so much fat on pulled pork in my life. They had not trimmed off the fat, but instead they used double or triple the amount of salt that they normally do. The pork was so salty and so fatty that I wouldn't even feed it to my dog who loves bandannas. I usually have trouble eating the entire dinner platter but in this case, I'm going out to the refrigerator to see what I've there got to take care of my lingering hunger. This was a very disappointed experience. Sawmill BBQ right up the street puts them to shame. read more

Im not sure why they get $$ when the blue sign fast food place got $ when I spent the same amount at each. Who knows, I haven't seen how to rate prices. I have no idea how this place is so well rated. Have people not ever gone to other BBQ restaurants before? The food, compared to what you could get elsewhere, is just ok. It's just not the greatest BBQ place around and I'm glad people are enjoying it but we don't find our experience all that great. We've visited twice at this location, we've been to other Bandana's before and it's the same vibe. It just doesn't stand out. The service is on par, not a problem there although one of the two times we went we had to wait for everything, from drink orders, to refills, to coming to check up on us to see how things are going. To be fair it was fairly busy but the server wasn't in a rush. But she was nice The place is clean. It doesn't feel inviting. I think that's just the Bandana's vibe, though. There's nothing else I can say. Everything is just...three stars from me. We've given Bandana's several chances, we came to this location twice for redemption, but that last time will be our last time. We arrived during the height of the lunch rush but were seated immediately and our waitress came by a minute or two later for drink orders. For main, I'm still doing my keto diet and chose the roast turkey with cole slaw and green beans. It didn't take more than ten minutes to arrive. It was a good portion of turkey that was hot and moist. Delicious and yes, I did add a bit of one of the table sauces to it. The green beans were a bit mushy and the cole slaw was wet but crunchy. The service was very good and the server was very attentive. I ordered a combo of Ribs and Burnt Ends. The ribs were very good, tender and flavorful. The burnt ends should not have been served. Several chunks of meat were so dried out that I could not even cut them with a knife. I showed them to the server who immediately took them to the manager and brought me new ones. The new ones were better, but still tough. You can tell that there is a problem with BBQ when they coat them with an excessive amount of sauce. I have had burnt ends at this restaurant before and they were great. I guess I should have quit while I was ahead. Not sure if I will return to this restaurant for a while. Yes, this is a chain but it has become my go-to place for BBQ in the St Louis area. I really enjoy Texas style BBQ vs Kansas City or St Louis style and think this place reflects what I liked about Texas BBQ best. We don't normally stay and eat but when we do it is usually off normal timings. I mean go before or after lunch or dinner - avoid the rushes. The place is clean, the staff friendly and as chatty as you want to me. We usually get 2-3 lbs of Pulled pork to go. Stopped on Sunday September 12 for some BBQ It wasn't busy at all maybe 3 other families, it was such a beautiful day we decided to sit outside. The waitress (Elizabeth) wasn't a very attentive waitress she messed up our drink order and had to wait 15 min for another one, by the time we got our food there was 4 more families dining outside, we noticed that we needed to flag her down she would take care of one table and forget about the other never got if we needed anything else. Perhaps just a rough understaffed Saturday night? We have frequented Bandana's for years. Every time everything has been good. Tonight there were maybe 8 tables full in the entire place. We had a young man for our server and he was just terrible. We had to ask for refills, had to ask for boxes, then he forgot a box, had to ask for the check. He got distracted very easily for a non-busy restaurant. Perhaps he was new and will do a better job. Food was good. No complaints there. Sat by the window and had to kill literally kill five different flies that were obsessed with our window. That was ridiculous. Someone needs to invest in some sort of fly catcher at this establishment. May return but not for awhile. read more

Been close to Bandana's for most of my life and for one reason or another, I just never went more than occasionally. Since I moved recently, I drive past this one every day at least a few times. It has really become my go-to place. I love their smoked turkey so much, I rarely get anything else. Kudos to Bandana's for not taking the "supply chain" opportunity to gouge the daylights out of us. I generally get the small plate, which is about $11 or so, particularly at lunchtime. I just don't know anywhere else that has smoked turkey this good. Sides: I love baked potatoes, and theirs come out just about perfect every time, although I wish they offered bacon bits. And don't laugh, but the applesauce is just amazing too. Nice and chunky, always cold. And to top it off, they give me 2 slices of bread, even with the small platter. I just cannot get enough of this place, although the Maryland Heights location is just as good. read more

I am giving two stars because we have been here before and found the food pretty good. Tonight, though, it was 75% inedible. Nachos were nothing but old tortilla chips absolutely drenched in sugary barbecue sauce and covered in bland yellow cheese. They were supposed to have meat, but I only saw two pieces of pinkie-sized chicken in the whole large order, soaked in sugar sauce. The Brunswick stew was disgusting--a vegetable soup in a tan sauce that smelled and tasted like halitosis. I never met a soup or stew I didn't like, but this stuff was so foul I was afraid to give it to my dogs. To be fair, my husband liked the potato salad and ate the burnt ends he ordered, but even they came heavily pre-sauced in the same sweet stuff. (He wanted the spicy Carolina mustard sauce we keep at home.) This place needs to get their act together. read more

Where do I start? While the food is outstanding this location needs a brush up on customer service. When you place an order for 5:30 it shouldn't be 5:50 when you finally get your order. A simple note of "we are running 20 min. behind" would make sense. Then I find I was given the wrong order. Drive back to store and had spoken on phone about the wrong order and told I will get my original. Get back to store and wait another 10 min. Just as order was being packaged they get calls and take other orders instead of asking to hold to finish mine. Another 5 min. goes by. Needless to say we were still missing an apple sauce and the baked potato wasn't loaded as ordered. Think they should close and learn customer service all over. I know the Seitz family who started Bandana's and they would be horrified with this experience. Sad. read more

Just picked up curbside order from this location. Got home and enjoying one of best meals we have had in very long time. Brisket is as tender as butter. Hubby happy with his order of ribs.
