This is one of my favorite middle east cuisine places. I have tried everything on the menu. My favorite is the Greek fries. I like the lentil soup sample. We wanted healthy food and we wanted it delivered. I wasn't sure we'd find anything. I was mistaken! Bananas Grill, found on Yelp's Grub Hub page, delivers excellent Greek food. Those who ate in gave higher reviews than those who had delivery service, so I ordered far too soon. The food was here in a twinkling, and not everyone was home, so this time, we ate cold meat. It was STILL good. 4 of us had the lamb & beef gyro plate, and my husband loved the humus accompanying it so much he wanted more. I'll order an extra side next time. My lamb and beef gyro salad was wonderful. The greens were crisp and the tomatoes were ripe; the bits of thinly sliced red onion made it better still. I'd been worried about grease; none. Salad dressing on side; perfect! Daughter loved the mango smoothie. We'll call again next Tueday, but not quite so early! read more

Well, it seems like the Lentil Soup is what hooks folks, and I am the same. The food was good, nothing mind-blowing, but the soup was great. I've heard good things about he chai, so I'll have to give it a shot next time. The hummus and pita was excellent. I had the chicken schawarma and it was tasty, but not as spicy as I would've liked. My girlfriend had the falafel wrap and liked it ok, but again, nothing crazy. Food was good, people behind the counter were awesome and I hope they are a success in Columbia City. It's three blocks from my place, so we'll definitely be going back. Give it a shot! read more

Came in here on a whim and was very pleased. Had a cheeseburger with fries. The burger tasted great and the fries were fantastic. Very crispy and the seasoning was yummy. The whole place was very clean and service was very nice. I also had the strawberry banana smoothie which was very refreshing and tasty. Would definitely go again. read more

The price was a bit on the high side too - food for a family of four cost over forty bucks! I've been to this place several times and it is consistently delicious. I ordered takeout today and my order wasn't ready when I arrived, so they gave me a bowl of soup and it was great. My order was ready within just a few minutes, and as always it was exceptional. Love this place and the people that run it are so kind and hospitable! Do yourself a favor and try it out. Our group of five thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. We were surprised with complimentary lentil soup while we waited for our orders. Our food was delicious and there was lots of it, most of us boxed up what we were too full to eat. The staff are all friendly and helpfully explained what ingredients were in some of the dishes. Great local neighborhood diner. It's nothing fancy but the food is fresh and delicious and comes fast. The kids love the fries and that's it's such a casual place with a playground out front. I love their salads and the lettuce is crisp and the other ingredients are all tasty. The staff is all friendly especially, even when your kid makes a mess. The menu isn't very big and is mainly a few Greek dishes and burgers. The smoothies are more like slushees, as you should be able to figure out from the $3 price - you are not getting a blend of real fruit. read more

This place is so good. So I'm just at my moms house and I end up getting hungry. Didn't drive so I had to settle for whatever she had around her area and I happen to stumble upon this hiding gem. It's pretty hidden in the cut but it's a cute perfect size cafe/diner in the corner. I've only had gyros a few times so I was a lil hesitant on what I wanted to eat but I went for the chicken wrap and it was delicious. I came back today for another one. I'm here at 1pm and there's a few ppl in line so it's obvious this place gets business. They even deliver, I think. I swear I saw a sign but double check with them to be sure. The man who rang me up was super polite and just happy to see he had customers coming in. I'll be returning again next time I'm around. read more

Great food, great prices, great people. Really--never go fast food when there's a local place like this. Every meal comes with delicious lentil soup, which my toddler loves (healthy alternative to fries, etc). The owner and his family are the best. I was able to tell my budget, and they worked with me via email to pick the types of food included. Food was packaged well, and ready on time. The chicken shawarma was juicy and delicious. This place delivers to my house which is great- they even get a star for the quick delivery. The gyros are juicy and come with lots of tatziki. This isn't a criticism but rather just a heads up the Chai tea has a very strong ginger taste. You don't LOVE ginger then you might want to skip it. read more
