Kabul Afghan Cuisine absolutely blew me away. I came with my friends, a party of 5 so we had to…read morewait about 10-15 mins but it was 10000% worth it. We shared a bunch of appetizers: bolani, burta, and the mushroom qorma. Burta was my fav but every single dish was so flavorful. For my mains, I got the murgh kebab.. the chicken was so tender and well-marinated but the flavored rice stole the show for me. Also the place feels super authentic, cozy, warm, not trying too hard, just real. And the owner was hilarious, so witty, and made the whole experience feel extra special. You can tell he cares and it shows. Now the saddest part: I just found out this restaurant has been around for decades and is closing forever soon. Truly heartbreaking! I really wish I'd discovered it sooner. If you've been meaning to go, don't wait. This spot is a gem and def deserves a visit before it's gone. FYI, it closes on Jan 3rd 2026!

I went here for a Sunday dinner with some friends and had a good time. It was not too busy, with…read moreabout half the restaurant full at 7pm. This was my first time trying Afghan food so I was excited to see what the cuisine offers. We got the combination kebab for 2 (2 red meats - lamb and beef, $100) which is basically a full set course menu and a fish qorma as another entree as there was 3 of us. The combination kebab is definitely more than enough food for 2, as the 3 of us shared that plus one entree and we were all stuffed. Ash - traditional noodle soup with kidney beans and chickpeas. I like the salty and slightly tangy aspect of the soup and it definitely whet my appetite for what is to come. Badenjan Borani - eggplant. I don't like eggplant but found the taste of this to be delicious. It is a bit on the mushier side for my liking though Fish qorma - fish was cooked nicely in a tomato based sauce Seekh kebab - beef. I didn't really like this one as much since the meat was tough but the flavor was great. Bara kebab - lamb. I love this one as it was juicier and more flavorful Kabuli palaw - the rice dish that comes with the kebab. I love this - it's like jeweled rice from Iranian and Persian cuisine, which offers carbs and a bit of sweetness to it. Pairs excellently with the dishes Firni - cardamom, pistachio, rosewater pudding. Classic Afghan dessert. Quite sweet but refreshing at the same time. Love it Dogh - an interesting salty drink made with yogurt, fresh mint, and salt. It felt like I was drinking sauce but more palatable. Service is good as dishes were taken out in good cadence and food came out at a decent pace.
