I am a frequent visitor of this rockstar banana joint. Make your own or get their menu items. You will not go wrong. I wish they would start adding strawberries and Nutella to the consistent menu because their seriously could be nothing better than having the two together. These folks get how to perfectly freeze a banana and smother it with all your favorite toppings. Check the hours because that is my OnLy concern... I never know when they are open. Also. Usually love stopping by Bananarchy for a frozen treat when I'm in town... Today, I made the mistake of coming by and ordering one chocolate and peanut butter banana. It took THIRTY minutes of waiting in the hot sun to get ONE banana. The food truck park was completely empty aside from one family when I got here at 1 o clock, so I honestly don't understand why the incredibly long wait. Terrible service. I grew up eating frozen bananas dipped in chocolate at Dairy Queen; Bananarchy takes that experience to a whole new level. At first glance it's like, yeah ok, a banana with some stuff on it. Big deal. But somehow it is absolutely amazing. My suggestion is to keep it simple - go with one dip and one topping. I usually go for vanilla dipped with Oreos or cookies, and it is without fail delicious. Sometimes the banana is too frozen and I have to give it a second to warm up so I don't destroy my teeth... and sometimes the toppings fall off while I'm eating. It also takes some time for the bananas to be made... go when it's nice out, maybe around sunset or a little after, and take it easy on the picnic benches while you wait. The price is a tad high for me to go too often (I don't go alone), but it's a great alternative to ice cream and I will be back! read more

I was so excited to try this place out and even more excited it was open late! I got the Milly vanilly with chocolate chip cookie topping and when I first bit in it wasn't bad. However, after my first bite it was hard not to notice how black the inside of my banana was... Not brown but pure black. I'm not usually picky about my food at all and still believe a brown avaocado is still a good avocado but this banana was bad and started to taste worse. I kept trying to bite around and see if it wasn't the whole banana. My outside was good but I lost my appetite and placed it in the trash where it belonged. read more

It was difficult to bit into the frozen banana and not practical to eat more like a Popsicle. I had to let it melt and bit and try to break it into smaller chunks to eat. They accept cash and cards and are on south first in a trailer lot. They have vegan chocolate for your vegan friends and the good stuff for you. I stopped by the trailer this afternoon when it was warm, but not hot outside. I figured that this would be the best weather for Bananarchy. Bananarchy serves up frozen bananas that are coated with a icing or ganache and garnished. I dig it. I already eat bananas dipped into a jar of M&M's or Nutella. A great flavor combo. Half a banana is $2, and a whole banana is $3. Coatings are vanilla, chocolate, and peanut butter. Garnishes included: peanuts, M&M's, coconut, Oreos, among many others that I can't remember. I ordered the half banana dipped in chocolate and covered in coconut. The banana was frozen, but not rock solid, and served on spoon. The consistency was perfect. It was easy to eat, but I wouldn't call it easy to keep clean. It was pretty tasty, but I do love bananas in chocolate in the first place. The bananas aren't mind blowing good, totally original, fancy, or gourmet (they don't claim to be either). But they are good. They are something that you would expect to see at a fair or carnival, and they have that "This is what Southerners eat in the Summer type of feel." I dig it. 4 stars because they are simple, tasty, relatively cheap, and perfect for the hot weather coming. I tend to walk away from overkill and hype. I'm a snob when it comes to eclecticism. I am so glad I listened to my friend, Brooke. While I droned on about my annoyance with "the carts," she kept interjecting that Bananarchy was worth breaking my vow. She was right...again. While they aren't as low fat as shaved ice doused in flavored syrup, they are wonderful on a 102 degree, 70% humidity summer's day. Not as fattening as ice cream or some gelatos, however not as artery clogging, either. There's something completely refreshing about bananas and peanut butter, and not much is lost in the translation to frozen dessert. I went there today for the first time and it was even better than I had hoped. I've made frozen bananas at home with the kits you get from the grocery store, but this...this is WAY better. I got a whole banana dipped in chocolate topped with Reese's pieces and OH. MY. GOODNESS. These girls have perfected the art of frozen bananas. Somehow, they freeze the bananas just right so that they're not too hard, but are still cold enough make the chocolate into a hard shell. One of the best things about frozen bananas is they don't melt like popsicles, so there's no drippy sticky mess on your hands AND they put the bananas on a spoon so you can hold it more easily. Brilliant! Oh, and not only is it delicious, but it's fruit instead of pure sugar. I could eat one everyday for the the rest of the summer. In fact, maybe I will. It's perfectly cold, soft, with that delicious hard dipped shell and incredible topping. Not only is the flavor combination great, but the ingredients are also pretty good quality too. It is dipped in chocolate and then rolled in both oreo and chocolate chip cookie crumbles. the Gob: ok so I didn't think that I could rightfully review this place until I tried the Gob, so I did. And although it is not really practical, it is a life experience and everybody should try the Gob at least once. I don't suggest anybody tackle it alone because even for two people, it's INTENSE. Many agree with the overpriced comment, but me and some friends did indeed attempt to make our own frozen bananas at a fraction of the cost. The great thing about Bananarchy is that there's a banana somewhere under all the coating and crunchy bits, which means as a parent, you can somewhat rationalize this treat for the kids if you squint a lot and shade your eyes a bit. It's even mo' better if you can nudge your kids in the direction of granola or peanuts as the crunchy bits of choice. Peanuts are protein, after all, and I think granola may have some whole grains in it, right? Good luck with that, though, when crushed Oreos and M&Ms are among the topping selections. In the car on the way home, I asked, "Who liked Bananarchy?" - and I got a unanimous positive response from the spouse and the two boys. There once was a trailer, Bananarchy, Whose frozen banana treats baffled me. We tried one with coffee, Added cinnamon and toffee. And BAM! We thought we'd get another three. Okay, we didn't really get three more, but I was running out of decent rhymes. Honestly, the idea of a frozen banana did not sound appealing at all (get it? A-PEEL-ing??), but my husband had mentioned wanting to try it, so we did. And I am now a believer in the powers of a frozen banana. The banana was actually creamy, so it felt like I was eating an ice cream treat without the majority of the guilt. The chocolate froze to the outside and formed this delicious crust, sort of like the little cookie niblets that are on the outside of those strawberry shortcake ice creams on a stick. Overall, this is a really delicious treat. Only downside I could see was that it was a bit overpriced ($4.75 for a chocolate and coffee-covered banana), especially considering bananas are really never more than 60 cents a pound.
