This is such a fun food truck! It had so many fun options and combinations for frozen bananas! I got it with chocolate and sprinkles and it was delicious! It's the perfect treat after a hot Austin day!
So good and so creative! This food truck had been on my list forever and my son and I finally gave in to our temptations and stopped by. They have several options to choose from so take your time and choose wisely. My son chose his own creation of a frozen banana dipped in chocolate, covered in 1/2 m&m's and 1/2 crushed peanuts, and drizzled with caramel. I chose the cookie crumble dipped in peanut butter. You have the option to choose a half or whole banana and honestly, they are so rich, that a half is perfect. We will definitely be back to try more combinations.
When visiting Austin - I bookmarked this place seeing that it was open late &&& it's freakin' bananas covered in sweets. I couldn't pass it up! After dinner we had a craving for something sweet so we thought, why not? This location is in a Food Truck parking lot. When we got there, it seemed a little sketch so there was no one there - it was maybe 10:30pm so we were almost at closing time. They had cute fairy lights strung along the food trucks and brightly colored picnic tables so it's a super cute set-up! The staff was very friendly & walked us through what our options were. We could make our own or choose from one of the premade specials. To keep it simple, I opted for a wholsie S'mores Banana. If you have a sweet tooth but also want to feel like you're getting some fruits mixed in - this is your place! It was super sweet & I could only eat half of it (finished the other half the next day, don't worry - we don't waste sweets here!). If I ever visit Austin again, I'd definitely be back & try the Texas Two Step or the Cookie Crumble!
Omg this place was amazing !!!! my boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and when it's something sweet after dinner, this was the perfect sweet treat! I will definitely be back next month when I return for work. I had the chocolate covered banana with coconut and pecans and Nutella drizzle. It was delicious.
This has got to be a landmark or something. This has been in the same trailer park eatery since waaaaaay before I had kids. Oldest kid is almost 8 and here I am giving it my first shot. The pictures of the ones we got don't quite do this place justice. There are many other picturesque photos from other yelpers so don't judge my book by this cover lol. I almost felt healthy eating this. I mean - if you get a frozen banana + peanut butter dip + nuts or coffee topping + peanut butter drizzle or even no drizzle.... kind of healthy right? Can hit the sweet spot still for sure. Who we kidding? If you're here - just go for it! Get the works! It's worth it. Still sends the signal to the brain that you had a guilty pleasure similar to banana split sundae but minus the calories of the ice cream and whip cream. Bonus!
When visiting Austin I write a list of places I'd like to try. This was on the top of my list because I love frozen bananas. It did not disappoint. It is a small food truck in a food truck court area. The young lady that took our order was VERY friendly and patient (we had a hard time deciding what to order). I ordered the almond joy banana and we also ordered three others. They were all delicious. So happy I got to cross this place off my list but for sure it will be one I return to next time I'm in town.
Not sure if it's Cat with a C or K but she couldn't have been sweeter just like her delightful desserts! I had a sugar craving and I didn't want the heaviness of a cookie or cake nor ice cream and this was the perfect find! I got the Texas Two Step cuz I'm a nut and toffee addict, perfect crunch! Love that you can also do a half or whole 'nana but I definitely got the whole! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!
I was sceptical of going to a frozen banana place for dessert. Well, it was actually quite good! There were lots of options for dips, toppings, and drizzles. I went with chocolate, Reese's Pieces, and Nutella. A "halfsie" felt like more than enough for dessert. Service was friendly and helpful with our groups indecisiveness. There are a few picnic tables for seating and definitely the typical Austin flies. I think this place is a fun, atypical stop for dessert and I'll likely drop by for another post Barton Springs treat.
Who would have thought bananas covered in goodness would be a business? Bananarchy did and it's amazing. So delicious no matter what flavor combo you choose.
Bananarchy is fantastic. A slightly less guilty desert that fills you up and does not break the bank. An entire banana is like 6-7 bucks and very filling. The frozen nature of the banana transforms it into an almost ice cream that certainly tastes like a treat. The quality of the chocolate and ingredients is fantastic. This place is open late and with quick service it is one of the best spots to go for a late night desert. Love this place and will be a regular moving forward!
Frozen Banana. Chocolate. peanut butter, and nuts. What else do I need to say? This was such a yummy treat. I wish they were smaller, half plenty. Service was quick and a perfect afternoon treat.

Are you pitching a tent? Got a morning glory? Are you just glad to see me? There are many ways to express your excitement, so to speak, for Bananarchy. Such are but a few. I lust for these delicious frozen phallic shaped desserts on a stick. Bananas are lovingly dipped in chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla or vegan chocolate. Pick your toppings to roll on the outside: M&Ms, coconut, crushed penus...oops, sorry...peanuts, oreos, toffee, or granola, to name a few. This week I tried a stunning half banana covered with chocolate and peanut butter rolled in toffee. My first bite of this wonderful frozen treat just about gave me a pocket rocket. Bananarchy you have stole my heart and taste buds, Located in South Austin (So-Fi) if you will. Can't miss a small gathering of aluminum travel trailers (think 70's inspired) lined up on a gravely road in a circle. It is actually quiet quaint, choice of parking is either in the small lot or on the street in the nearby neighborhood. First thing I noticed was a girl sitting in her trailer all alone in this quite food truck spot (other food trailer had closed for the night). Her outfit was cute, kind of hippy chic, kind of DYI thanks to the awesome headpiece she was wearing bonus point to anyone willing to wear an awesome headband with a spoon sticking straight out of the top! She greeted up and gave us some time to look over their menu, so much to choose from, everything from making your own custom banana to their specialties. I decided to order: A whole The Hippy Dippy ($4.75) - Banana, Granola, Craisins, and Cinnamon with vegan chocolate. We were told that it would take awhile since everything is made to order, we were in no rush and just enjoyed sitting on the nearby benches watching the traffic and people walking up to order after us. It took about eight or so long minutes for our friendly cashier/banana maker to let us know they were ready for pick up. She apologized that she ran out of plates and did not know if they restocked so she wrapped them in extra aluminum. Sat back down in our spot and proceeded to unwrap our giant gifts (me being giddy because I love frozen bananas and I finally got one) holy GIANT and I do mean GIANT banana Batman! These suckers were huge no skinny anorexic southern California banana here, instead I found out later that they use Turbana bananas. Sitting in front of me was pure chocolate, granola, craisin heaven! The smell of cinnamon filled the small space around me. Then I realized to myself and aloud to Minh "How in the hell am I suppose to eat this sucker". We both laughed and dove right in. The plastic spoon that is inserted in the butt of the banana does work wonders but be careful when enjoying this heavenly banana because that plastic will sneak up on you! I can proudly say that I finished that whole banana and was happy as a grasshopper hopping in some lush wet green grass! It has been a month since we left our loved Austin and not one day goes by that we crave this delectable place! I am a bananarchists ... are you? ... Bananarchy was definitely one of my first loves in the ATX after I first moved here. I heard about this amazing place from my cousin and knew I had to seek it out. At the time they were in a different location over on Lamar, now their trailer is on S. 1st in a little food trailer lot at Live Oak St. This is a great location for them because well they are south and close to me! My favorite go to frozen banana is the cookie crumble dipped in vanilla. The cookie crumble is a mix of crushed up Oreos and chocolate chip cookies. They melt down the chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter or vegan chocolate then dip the frozen banana and then cover in what ever topping or mixture you choose. The cookie crumble is just so good it is hard for me to venture away from it and try something new. They usually have a special that they change out on a weekly basis too. I also love that you can make banana grams while you wait for your order! I know that frozen bananas might seem like a simple thing they are doing, but seriously how many places can you get something like this and even if you could do something like this at home 99% of people will not - so you must go here and have the experience of getting yourself one of the best things on earth because if you don't you are totally missing out! Incredibly delicious. I'm a banana lover in general and frozen bananas make me dance. I'd do anything for a good frozen banana. These frozen bananas are the best I've ever had. They're super big, coated with a thick layer of chocolate and piled high with the toppings. It's a filling meal by itself. Coming in at night, it was the only trailer open in the lot. Located on SoFi. It's dark around there so you don't know whether it's open or not. But they're open. They even have vegan chocolate options which is awesome. I ordered one Pecan Pie banana. It's loaded with pecans and it's an absolute treat. You gotta experience one of their bananas to know. There's a plastic spoon stabbed in it's butt which is used as a handle or anything else you want it to do. You can get a half banana or a full one. Go big! read more
Bananarchy! Love the catchy name!! I usually get to treat myself a frozen banana only if I happen to be at disneyland or around balboa island (arrested development!!). But now that I know there is a location so close by, I will definitely be visiting this truck more often! Frozen bananas are the best on a hot summer day, actually any day is good for a frozen banana! The banana is cold & firm and has the right amount of texture, topped with chocolate & crushed oreos, what a treat! Order the Milly Vanilly, you will not regret! Bananarchy is a food truck on S 1st that dips frozen half or whole bananas into your choice of dips (chocolate, vegan chocolate, peanut butter, or vanilla) and toppings (nuts, oreos, graham crackers, and more)! They also have a menu that you can choose from! Very fun and delicious choice for dessert or a snack! read more

FROZEN BANANAS! This place is really a great place to just go to feel like you are in where else but Austin? We got the JOE banana? i think it was called. It was really really really really crunchy on the outside and the coffee java pieces were a little overwhelming for me but I would still give them four starts for the quality and taste! I can simply try one more fitting to my taste buds next time. yum~ read more

I aint no gorilla or nothing but MMMM they was some good bananas The thing about Austin is the food trucks. This is another prime example of just that. It's a small little food truck sittin on a corner lot with other food trucks! Ya boy got the cookies n cream and a chocolate covered banana with nuts and toffee. Both were about $5 which is alright in my opinion. I really wouldn't go here on the regular honestly. Maybe once in a while just cuz the pricing. Maybe I'm too cheap but the bananas itself were actually yummmmm. They were frozen bananas on a plastic spoon. The chocolate covering was also frozen so it's not like some dripping juicy bananas you gettin. The banana itself actually wasn't as sweet as I'd hope it to be. Maybe cuz it was frozen or the banana just wasn't sweet. The chocolate covering is just like your standard melted chocolate and crushed whatever toppings you decide to get. It's a cool idea I must admit! Definitely unique for what it is. I would recommend this if my friend really likes bananas a lot. read more
I have been in love with Frozen Bananas ever since Disneyworld. It is the perfect alternative to ice cream and popsicles. Plus, the Frozen Bananas served up here are made fresh to order, and can be created 100% vegan if needed. I love that I don't have to fear a trip to the dentist when biting into these delicious creations, as they aren't rock hard. There is always the special of the week, or pre determined menu options for the less creative, or get crazy and make your own. You can get a whole or half banana, dependent on your stomach size. My favorite flavor is Joe Banana with Crème, Sugar, and Cinnamon. Overall I am in love with this place, it's good that it is located far away, and in a less desirable random food truck court. The only negative is that this place is popular and some evenings you will be waiting in line for a bit as there is just one person working in the truck making your fresh yummy banana creations. read more
4.5 stars for the food, the extra half star is for the Arrested Development shoutout! You really can't go wrong with the banana-chocolate combo and Bananarchy took this idea and completely ran with it. They have a ton of combos, all of which I would love to try at some point. A halfsie is the perfect size for most people, unless you're ridiculously hungry in which case, go for the full-size and get yours! I got my halfsie dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with nuts and granola (in my failed attempt to my healthy) while my friend got the Afternoon Delight halfsie. Both were incredibly delicious and flavorful. Do be careful and take little bites since the banana is frozen. One problem: they do close when it's not "banana weather" but there's really no way to find out when they're closed until you drive to their location and the stand's not there. I was pretty bummed on Friday night when they weren't there and my friend suggested that we just make our own but I was adamant that my first frozen-banana experience to be at the Bananarchy food trailer. Suffice it to say, good things come to those who wait! For $2.75-7 per banana, you're bound to find something that'll satiate your sweet tooth cravings without putting a dent in your wallet! read more
I LOVED IT. I've had the chance to try bananarchy before as they often come visit UT campus during Rez Week. However I've never had the chance to actually come to their truck and try all the flavors they have to offer. I had the Jo banana, which is a frozen banana with chocolate and coffee beans. IT WAS SO SO DELICIOUS. My boyfriend had the Milly Vanilly and really loved it. He's a pretty picky eater so it was great that he enjoyed it so much! The staff was crazy sweet and helpful, and I am definitely going to be back soon. read more
Not as great as I hoped it would be. It's great for the first minute, but then the banana starts melting and gets really soft, but the shell remains really hard. So then it becomes harder to eat. The afternoon delight is triple dipped, which was too much coating in my opinion. I still think it's worth trying, but I probably wouldn't come back again. read more

Never thought I'd love eating something so phallic! The bananrchists cookbook explains the deal: 1) Take a frozen banana 2) Dip it in either chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla (actually white chocolate), or vegan chocolate *** Drizzles and half/half can be done on the dips for an upcharge 3) Dip that in a topping (or multiple toppings) Not a long wait... but when you get it, don't bite in right away unless you have crazy strong teeth that can take cold. Amazingly sweet snacks, especially on a hot Texas day! This little trailer is parked in a small gravel lot with a few others, and the location can be hard to find the first time around. But it is definitely worth the visit! Bananas dipped in chocolate or various other toppings, and friendly staff that give good recommendations. You can peek in and watch them make your bananas once you order. Be warned, though: these babies are super super sweet and I couldn't finish a whole banana on my own. I recommend starting off with a 1/2 banana for one person, so you don't feel sad when you simply can't finish the delicious goodness of your whole frozen and dipped banana. I learned this lesson the hard way. The little lot that the trailer is parked on has some picnic benches and tables, so you can enjoy your treats comfortably. I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area! read more
This place was so unbelievably good we had to go back the next day for another one. I saw that the place closed at 10:00 pm so after eating a late dinner we had to rush to get there. Past it up twice because I'm a complete idiot and it was 10:05. Ran to the window and the girl serving us was sooo nice and pleasant said that it was no problem and as long as she was there she was willing to serve. All the combinations looked delicious but we finally decided on the the three halves: the Afternoon Delight, Cookie Crumble, and Joe Banana. Big fan of anything coffee flavored so we ended finishing the Joe Banana before we got to the car which was 5 feet away. It was amazing! I had eating a spicy burger before we got there so the cold banana and toppings were perfect to cool off. (make sure to get the toffee and cinnamon extras!) The Cookie Crumble was then devoured in the car before pulling out of the parking lot. I love oreos so this was another banana which tasted outstanding. By this time we were kinda full so could only finish half of the Afternoon delight in the car on the way back to the hotel. The next visit I told the guy who was serving to surprise me. Think he just made a Cookie Crumble, but it was still good. One frozen whole or half banana on a spoon, vanilla/chocolate/peanut butter coating, tons of combinations of dips = DELICIOUS. Definitely a must do if visiting Austin. Very original and good in the tummy after a spicy meal. read more

Frozen bananas rolled in and topped with whatever your heart desires- chocolate, coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, toffee, peanut butter...so delicious. Great service- friendly and fast! Plenty of picnic tables and surrounding food trucks if you want real food as well! read more
