So I was brought to this truck by the truck king himself Mark, to try it out! :) he never steers me wrong! We got a shrimp po boy, Cajun crawfish roll, and some beignets. What a treat!! The shrimp were nice big shrimp fried covered In a dill sauce, yum, tasted great. The Crawfish roll was actually my favorite, this was very similar to a lobster roll, but with crawfish in a mayo based sauce on a eggy kinda roll that was toasted on the outside. The crawfish had no tinge of funkiness, just fresh meat swimming in a nice slightly seasoned sauce. I could have eaten both easily! Lastly beignets! I rarely get to eat these, so I savored theses little fried pillows of yumminess!! You can pick a sauce to top them we got cinnamon roll, cinnamon and vanilla cream cheese sauces (?) yea you can't go wrong with fried dough! The people running this truck were wonderful, helpful and friendly! I would definitely eat here again next time I see them rolling by!

Awesome theme and…read morepaint job) To say the least I was excited recently to see it roll up on the Southbank in downtown Jax! To say the least I'm a big fan of bold, spicy flavors, and this restaurant on wheels delivers just that. I opted for the buttered crawfish dish ($12) which came exactly as advertised! Peeled and buttered crawfish tails served over a warm bed of white rice. There was a heaping pile of crawfish and in my opinion plenty for two people to share. I loved the subtle heat and spices that build as you work your way through the dish. The crawfish were tender and NOT over-cooked! There is no culinary sin greater than making rubberized shrimp, lobster and crawfish. The best part (of course) is the little bit of warm liquified butter that collects at the bottom of the dish with the rice. Yum. Enjoy that for some well-deserved peace in your life. I would certainly recommend asking for some hot sauce on the side in case you like it even a little spicier. Fear not, cash and credit cards (via Square) are accepted. I will certainly be back next time I see this flavor train roll into town!

I ordered eight pieces for our table and they were crispy and delicious! A generous size of meat filled egg rolls served piping hot and perfect to start you off...so, so good! Next, I ordered the Filipino Pork BBQ Skewers a la carte and they were nicely marinated and grilled to perfection! Huge chunks of pork with a wonderful meat-to-fat ratio so you do not want to miss ordering this meat on a stick. Lastly, I tried the Filipino Pork Adobo with Steamed Rice and it was fantastic! I'm pretty picky with my Filipino food as I come from a family of amazing Filipino cooks. This Pork Adobo did not disappoint as it was balanced with sweet and savory and they give you plenty of extra sauce to soak up with the rice. Different from what I'm used to, but delicious nonetheless. For my dessert, I opted for smoothies from the Big Island Bowls Food Truck. I shared the Classic Acai Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and strawberries blended with organic almond milk & the Coconut Dream Smoothie made with organic acai, bananas, and organic shredded coconut blended with organic almond milk. Refreshing and not too sweet! Perfect ending after a rich and savory meal. I want to try the acai bowls next time... Overall, the food truck vendors at this location are hard working and local. I love the variety and the convenience of having this food truck park so close to the beach. There are restrooms for customers and plenty of covered seating for those really sunny Florida days. Amazing experience and fantastic food options. I definitely recommend supporting local and trying out the food trucks that are set up in The Village Garden. Excellent! :)

Before we even walked in, we were reading through the reviews and noticed that the owner has a habit of responding to any criticism with an absolute novel of complaints back at the reviewer. Honestly hilarious. We pulled up around 3:30 on a Friday and were practically the only people there. We ordered everything to-go, which honestly felt like the right call anyway since the inside is pretty tiny. I got the shredded chicken bowl, same as my mom. My dad got a chicken burrito and my brother got a steak burrito. The flavors in my bowl were good but nothing that really stood out. It was heavy on the rice, onions, and black beans, which was a problem for my mom since she's not a black beans person, so she wasn't thrilled with hers. My dad was still a little hungry after his burrito. My brother was the happiest of the group with his steak burrito though, so there's that. Overall we just didn't feel like the portion sizes and quality justified the prices. The staff was friendly, which was appreciated. But it's a middle of the road experience for us. If you go, maybe stick to the steak options based on our little sample size.
