Regular cup of strawberry w pineapple, chocolate chunks, lilikoi pulp.

It's easy and delicious. Banan is banana based soft serve with no added sugar. You don't have to decide between dairy or non-dairy - it is all non-dairy. This location is a walk up on Koko Head Avenue in Kaimuki. It is an easy stop if you are picking a sandwich next door at Sprout Sandwich Shop, or replenishing your crack seed supplies at Kaimuki Crack Seed Store. And if you want a nice quiet outdoor break after a noisy and full dinner at The Pig & The Lady then stop here. The soft serve has a mild banana flavor. Most of the selections are flavored so you can enjoy stuff you normally enjoy like strawberry and matcha, or black sesame for the Halloween season. The mixed bowls are light sundaes full of flavor and texture. Don't overlook this Kaimuki alternative to gelato desserts.

So good! Banan has locations in Waikiki and Kaimuki, with the Waikiki location being a window and the Kaimuki location being a small shop. There is some seating outside but not much. Especially after going to the beach or being outside for a while, Banan has always been a solid option. This time, we went to the Kaimuki location. There was not a line, which there is sometimes. However, there were some people eating outside. The service was quick and the people working seemed nice and relaxed. We got a cup with acai, honey, granola, and strawberries. We also got the Chunkadelic bowl, which is a favorite of mine. I love the mac nut honey butter. The bowl always feels pretty decent in size and will either leave me full or last for another meal or snack. We felt the cup was a good size as well and not overwhelming. The acai was good and the fruits were pretty sweet. The chunkadelic was yummy and has been consistently good. We will definitely be back when our next Banan craving hits!

Refreshing beverage in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii... While I was walking back to my car, Banan was along my way! I have had Banan's soft serve in the past... it's made out of banana... so, it's dairy-free! Past locations include the University of Hawaii area and Kahala Mall. Those two stores closed. Now, there's a Waikiki location, this one on Koko Head Avenue, and one in California! I got the Green Smoothie (it didn't taste like kale and spinach!) from the cheerful gal at the counter. She was very helpful! This is an efficient, clean, open door, takeout only place. Order and pickup was easy!

A cute little spot accessible by street parking (if you can get it) or the little parking lot just a couple hundred feet away in between the buildings. I love that it's a nice sweet treat without making you feel super unhealthy. The range of flavors is diverse and I think there's something for everyone. The strawberry lilikoi was so good - sweet and a little bit tart, the perfect balance. Plus you gotta add the mac nut honey butter, always. It's great as dessert, or a midday treat to cool off with, there's honestly no wrong time for Banan.

Came by at a friend's recommendation - little did I know that they already had an expansion in San Francisco near my house.... oh well. I'll definitely check out their location in the Bay Area to compare with. Parking in the area is difficult, but there's a paid lot within a couple blocks. The storefront is really small, it can really only fit one group to order at a time, and there's two benches out in the front for seating. We got three different flavors: açaí, matcha, and chocolate. They all tasted like banana, there's no doubt about it! The açaí had the strongest flavor compared to the others. The matcha has a beautiful green color but you really couldn't discern the matcha flavor from the bananas unfortunately. The coconut whipped creme was the highlight though - I wish I savored it more!

As a dessert lover, especially when it comes to ice cream and gelato, Banan truly stands out with their unique banana-based ice cream! Not only is it delicious, but it also feels good to eat, knowing it's made from wholesome, healthy ingredients. Their original banana ice cream is always a classic favorite, but I also love their acai blend--it's better than a regular acai bowl, in my opinion--and their black sesame flavor, which is a fun and flavorful Asian fusion twist. Every scoop comes topped with fresh fruits or crunchy granola, making it the perfect balance of indulgence and nutrition. If you're looking for a sweet treat that's both satisfying and guilt-free, Banan is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

First time here. Service was friendly. Its a small sore around the 12th street area. No seating except some benches next door. I got the Chocolate Brownie was was good. Very rich. Overall it waa pretty good but not my cup of tea.

Healthy banana based ice cream! Such a cute location in Kaimuiki! Super friendly service. What's not to love? And the fact that it's a local business just makes it even better.

An original creation using locally sourced organic bananas as its base. No dairy. No added sugar.Made from bananas! This review is for their store located in Kaimuki right on the Main Street of Koko Head Ave near Waialae. A cute tiny store that offers frozen treats that looks like frozen yogurt but is DAIRY FREE. You can build your own bowl or go with their traditional creations. There is a difference in price. We tried the combo Strawberry Lilikoi. Real Lilikoi pulp with the edible crunchy seeds spooned on top. You can watch the server slice the fresh strawberries, then add fresh pineapple and coconut flakes to the bowl. If you like tart then Lilikoi (passion fruit) will fit the bill. It is balanced with the slight sweetness from the fresh strawberries, coconut flakes and pineapple! A true burst of the tropics in your mouth! You don't have to be lactose intolerant to appreciate the offerings at Banan. After a four hour hike, we were famished and craving something healthy. Banan was calling our name! The strawberry matcha sounded really good, so we ordered it, and it was so refreshing and satisfying. I could not tell that the soft serve was banana-based. It tasted like regular soft serve, with a hint of matcha flavor! I can't wait to come back here!

Banan used to be a college staple for me, with the banana soft serve being mixed with fresh fruits to give you a sweet treat on those hot days They just opened a new location in Kaimuki, and had a brand new flavor the strawberry lilikoi! I usually opt for the açaí so this strawberry lilikoi was unheard of, but I like both fruits so I had to give it a try The college kids working were nice and got my order out fast, careful adding each piece so they were aesthetic but didn't fall out of the cup immediately It did take some effort to eat it without spilling, but that's part of the fun The banana/strawberry base was good but maybe not as smooth as their açaí or dragonfruit that they've had before, I was hoping for more lilikoi flavor since the drizzle on top did add some bursts or tart sweetness, but after the small drizzle bites are gone, you're left with nothing Besides that it's still just as good as I remember, and now you don't have to go into Waikiki to get it

But... lucky for me, traffic was in my favor and there was no delays, no red lights, and a parking space right out front so I got out of the car at precisely 1:55! Whew, I checked in and ran inside, excited that I made it. Also, super happy they were not sold out. You know I also cannot just get 1 pint. I took home 2 Pumpkin Custard, a Strawberry and candied ginger (which i got for mom so she doesnt get mad that I restocked the freezer). It's the kind of spot you're most likely to discover while wandering in or out of Ginza Bairin, following a luxurious tonkatsu meal craving something cold and refreshing. The setup is refreshingly no-frills: medium styrofoam cups, flavors handwritten in Sharpie, and two separate freezers dividing ice cream and sorbet. The texture runs on the firmer side, which actually works in its favor -- your scoop holds up beautifully in the island heat and doesn't melt into a puddle five minutes later. Given the generous portions, you probably won't be refreezing leftovers anyway. The tropical fruit sorbets are the clear stars, made with fresh fruit and bursting with natural flavor. Mango, lychee, and guava taste vibrant and authentic -- bright, fragrant, and not overly sweet due to the natural acidity from using real fruit. Beyond the classics, there are some fun and unexpected options like corn cheese, durian, and avocado for the more adventurous palate. The standout for me, though, was the Kona coffee ice cream. It avoids the common trap of being cloyingly sweet and instead leans into a rich, dark, nutty undertone with an intense coffee essence that lingers in the best way. It feels grown-up and balanced -- deeply satisfying without overpowering. Whether you're looking for the perfect palate cleanser after tonkatsu or just want a cold treat while strolling through Waikiki, Henry's Place delivers simple, memorable scoops that taste like they're made with care. No frills, no fuss -- just really good ice cream and sorbet.
