Every visit to Ban Bu Xian always makes my mouth water, this is a great spot if you love Szechuan cuisine! Their food is extremely flavourful, I came here for LNY for their Szechuan duck dish which comes with wraps, green onions, and hoisin sauce. With the leftover duck bones, they make you a clear duck bone soup which is delicious. Service is great, the staff always give great recommendations as well. Love the traditional vibes of this spot too!

Absolutely my favorite authentic Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. It is probably closest to Szechuan in flavor, think a lot of chillis and peppercorn. The ambiance is nice and spacious. Everything from the cabbage to the liver to the Basa filets were delicious! The portions were also gigantic, but I should have known that from the respective item prices. I still wish the price was a bit cheaper for what the food was and that the service was existent, but the food was spectacular!

We ate what would normally be a $100-$125 US meal for under $80 US. It was awesome. We got so much food - it was ridiculous. We ate quite a bit and saved the rest for leftovers. The servers were super nice and sweet. Very family friendly. We found our new go-to spot in Vancouver, B.C. Also, if you give it a little time the parking isn't too bad. Dinasty also stays open a little later than most restaurants in town, making this a viable option when in a pinch for food but running late in the day. Will absolutely go back next time in town. Thanks for having us. Comparable to Dough Zone or Din Tai Fung, somewhere right in between with quality and cost. Everything was yummy.

I went back, and can't say enough how amazing this place is! It's very quant and intimate. We came…read morefor dinner and thankfully made resos. The idea is to share plates, and they recommended 2-3 plates per person. We did just that for the 4 of us. I'm vegetarian but had a ton of options to choose from. We started with their Shnacks, including sichuan smashed cucumbers, mala soy vinaigrette, salted napa cabbage, sesame dressing, and crispy tofu, garlic sweet soy, water chestnut. These are all tasty and had different elements of flavor. These cucs are classic and had a kick. The Napa cabbage were perfectly sliced and I would drink the dressing. The tofu is legit! Perfectly crispy and soft inside. But that sauce is the shit! Adding more to the tofu as it cools on your plate is a must! We then partook in their Petits Cadeaux, which was the vegetarian potstickers and steamed pork dumplings. These veg were slightly fired and huge. They had so much flavor and paired with the chilli oil, I was so pleased! We then got some vegetables which paired nicely with everything. You must get the king pea tips, garlic, shaoxing and glazed crispy eggplant, gochugaru leek & carrot, sesame salt. The pea tips melt in your mouth. They are so delicate and warm. The eggplant is the most unique way I've had eggplant! Such a good side. Service is incredible. Our server was so helpful and on top of everything! The girls had a few drinks which were all unique and fancy AF! Loved this place this time!

But the wonderful hostess accommodated us, and I am so glad that she did! I cannot remember everything that we ate, but I know we got pork belly, dumplings, and duck rice cakes. OMG - everything was perfectly and authentically prepared! The wait staff was wonderful and so helpful with ordering and suggestions for eating. What a wonderful experience! We cannot wait to go back to Vancouver and eat at Bao Bei AGAIN!!
