This Bambu compared to others is a bit on the meh side. I don't know if ownership changed but the desserts don't seem to be fresh anymore. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt since it's the only one in town but nothing has met my expectations. I remember ordering their #6 a couple of times and that was good but then after a while since my last visit, I tried their smash avocado on two different occasions and both times the avocado tasted sour which could have indicated it was starting to go bad. I tried their special and the Pandan texture was hard and tasted old like it was refrigerated for a while. I don't know if they're cutting corners or what happened but I don't think I would go back here anymore unfortunately. read more

I'm a big fan of Bambu and was surprise there was one here in Stockton. We came after having dim sum for Father's Day 2019 and it was also super hot. We were anticipating huge lines and surprisingly, the lines where short and was in and out in a jiffy. We always order their Smashed Avocado which was delicious. I also ordered their Vietnamese coffee with coffee jellies. Parking can be difficult and finding them was a bit of a challenge, but I think they're behind or on the other side of Starbucks drive-thru. Cheers! read more

I usually gauge my review based on the #6. It has a variety of the different fruits/jellies in that drink. I can't recall ever getting soft coconut meat from here. What really turned me off was their blatant overcharging. The photo I shared shows them overcharging me. The normal price for the drink is $4.25. I made it a large which should be a $.50 up charge. It's like a slushee drink but with milk, jellies, boba, and all sorts of sweets inside that you will need a spoon! This place is a bit small (at least smaller than Lollicup) and stuck in the same plaza as a video store and Chinese restaurant. This place is fairly new, so everything's pretty clean. There's a TV, which was playing a sports game when I visited. I ordered jasmine milk tea since I'm not a fan of Viet desserts (comprised of things like taro, red bean, green bean, white bean, mung mean, coconut, jellies, etc). I did not like that there was a huge hole on the lid. I took it to-go and luckily I drank some so it wouldn't spill in my car. Although this place is mostly for DRINKS, rather than full on desserts, it's definitely good for those coconut milk drinks or milk tea boba drinks. My favorite go-to drink is their #6, which has a lot of fruit (my fave) and I ask for extra ice since the drink itself can get a little too sweet sometimes. Their milk tea and boba is also pretty good! I recommend their milk tea rather than their green milk tea (it's a little too light on the tea). We got the fruit addict che (my personal favorite if you're feeling an assortment of jellies with a sweet base) and jackfruit smoothie. The last couple times we got Bambu, they didn't fill it to the top but this time was perfect. My che tasted so yummy and the jackfruit smoothie was a bit watered down. I would recommend getting the jackfruit smoothie from Pho Saigon instead but other than that this is the place to go if you're craving che, viet coffee, and fruit teas! It is on the pricier side $6-8 per drink but treat yourself once in a while. The staff here is friendly too. We've been coming here for a few years now and not until recently have I tried their matcha blended with boba! Funny thing is that I never went to the BAMBU near my house in Sacramento. This one is my first time trying it out in Stockton. I have to say I been to a lot of juice boba cafe places and I guess I can review my opinion of the differences. Im more of a MILK TEA person, so I ordered Thai Tea with grass jelly and black pearl. I have to say that they got a lot of variety and I havent tried the ones with lots of fruits and yams. SO I cannot say a thing about those. The only thing I didnt like was that the grass jelly was shaped like long strings. LOL. If youre not so aware when you slurp from your straw, you may choke not knowing that the grass jelly is long. Last I remember a lychee is supposed to be white not BROWN. Today I ordered a number 1 Che with extra jackfruit and it tasted so weird and disgusting.
