Yes, the drinks were pretty. My friend and I sat close to the counter and each one was hand crafted with care. The decor was so relaxing as if nature had been brought inside. Loved the ambiance! The biggest highlight was when one of the owners came out to greet us and thank us for our business. I felt so at home. She took the time to share how her business was named and some challenges that happened along the way. I watched as regulars came in to order including a police officer who they knew by name. Stopped by to try a drink from here as it's highly rated on yelp. I wanted to see how this differed from any other boba places and it did not fail my expectations. Disappointed by all the positive reviews once again. My husband got the brown sugar milk tea boba. We both tried it. The boba had no flavor at all, which means it was cooked in plain water. Some places cook them in a sugar/honey syrup and that makes the boba really good, but when boba is simply cooked in plain water, it gives it no flavor. The same with the mango sago drink. The sago had no flavor at all. It was just the same as chewing flavorless plastic. The drink was topped with orange popping boba and I don't like popping boba. I had no idea it came with that as the drinks do not have descriptions or pictures. I would've requested it to be without it had I known. The interior is very plain which they tried to make more inviting by scattering plants around the perimeter of the store. There is only one entrance and exit so if you're in the waiting/sitting area, you have to go back around the ramp to leave. read more

Montea Boba is a small, women-owned and run shop that has a small featured menu as well as a weekly rotating menu. The owners of Montea go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and you can tell just how much effort and thought goes into formulating the drinks. Although the store is quite small, it is decorated for every holiday and season, and it shows how much pride they take in their work. Aside from all of that, the drinks are fantastic! Each week, I look forward to my CocoMatcha and to trying a brand new drink, something I may not have even considered if they had a large overwhelming menu like other places tend to. Awesome locally owned, independent milk tea shop run by the loveliest ladies. Stopped by on our way home from Tahoe and am so glad yelpers had previously given this shop so much love. Montea offers a thoughtfully curated and creative menu of yummy milk teas. We had the green Thai tea (I've never seen this elsewhere, and I've had my fair share of milk teas!) and the creme brulee with grass jelly. Both were made fresh and the creme brulee was even properly torched. Yum. The two ladies working there (I believe owners, a pair of best friends according to other Yelpers) were so friendly and sweet. They even offered our restless kiddos some fruit snacks. The space is super clean and inviting, and even has an immaculately maintained restroom, great for those on the road and in need of a pit stop. This would be my local hangout if I was a local. We have tried 3 drinks here. One of them is coffee matcha. It tastes ok. But Banana matcha and Cream Brûlée have no flavor. Banana macha has no taste of matcha and the Cream Brulee doesn't have any taste of tea, it just like water. They only have one size so every drink is over $8. read more

The taro milk tea w/ taro foam is the best out of the 6 then the crème brûlée and green thai iced tea. I want to like the coffee drinks but I feel like it over powers the flavor of the tiramisu and taro. I did enjoy their sweetness level because it's not too sweet. I got the taro cream with horchata and my friend got the hibiscus tea. The taro cream is very real, not artificial like other stores. I tried that cream once with taro milk tea but it is too much taro for me, I would recommend getting either one you shouldn't mix it together. This is a daiso price $5.00 for each without tax for all of the drinks. They have weekly menu and you can always check it on their instagram. The service is good.
