Chicken adobo and pancit, lumpia & bbq pork stick
    Angelina A.

GREAT Filipino food. They do run out, so if possible, call ahead if you want something specific. It's also a Filipino market with groceries, cakes, ice cream, desserts, etc. it's pretty chill and they have a few tables if you want to eat there. I've tried their pancit, bbq pork, chicken adobo, chicken tinola, beef caldereta, and turon and everything. Is. So. Good.

Lumpia Sauce for whole tray ‍

We ordered a freaking tray of Lumpia and Turon 10:30am we arrived early to pick up...we wait for the lumpia since it's bot ready. They handed the lumpia to my dad and without sauce. I went back to ask for the sauce and they said it's 1.50. Why the lumpia didn't come with the sauce at all it doesn't fucking make sense. A lady who's behind me jumped in to pay for me since they don't take card if it's only less than 5dollars. She went in to ask probably the boss and all of a sudden it's okay to use my card and charged me 1.65 that's with fee. Kudos to the lady for stepping up. Thank you so much! BUT WHOEVER OWN this place we know how hard and expensive everything nowadays, but don't over kill customers greed is not gonna get you anywhere in life.

    Expired

Please check the products on the shelf, Manila Express. A lot of them are expired. Earlier last year the mango slices in the fridge were expired, came back a few months later to find they were still there. Recently, my sister bought a bag of chips, realized too late the exp date said 9/4/2025.

Stumbled across this Filipino eatery in Stockton while driving back from Sacramento and they had amazing food! I was looking for a spot that sold turon, or fried banana lumpia, to bring back for both me and my bf's families and this was the first spot that popped up on my yelp search. Called ahead to see if they could accommodate a party tray of 40 pieces and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes! Once we got there, our order was ready and we decided to also order a combo plate of pancit, pork bbq stick, and lumpia shanghai. Everything was made to order and so good! Some of the best Filipino takeout I've had in a while. The turon is super crispy and the long thinner kind, but without the excess fry oil or caramelized coating. We ordered turon without jackfruit but they do have that option as well. Manila Express is also a grocery store carrying tons of Filipino snacks, canned goods, bread, etc. Don't be fooled by the "drive-thru" area and window on the side of the store, it's not a drive thru!

This review is mainly for their turon. I first tried them in one of our friends' party and we were hooked eversince. I always get their large trays that consists of 50pcs turon and for the price, I could get 2 if I want to as they always get demolished at every party we bring it to. They are crunchy, not too sweet and the banana was perfectly ripe. I like my turon without the jackfruit (langka) and this one hits the spot. I always order ahead of time, but you can always drop by and order it the same day as they always have big batches of them readily available. I would like to try some of their filipino dishes when I get back next time. But as for now, turon is why I drive up here just to get my and family's fix.

8:31 and they were closed...early day maybe???

So I decided to come back a little earlier this time and when I approached the door there was a sign with the hours and the definitely close at 8pm...my bad! This is an "UNCLAIMED" page so I can't blame the owners for this mistake :). This place is small with a tight fit. There are some tables/chairs if you decide to eat your food inside but it gets super hot in there and like I said, it's a tight fit. We started eating inside but decided to take it home where we can be more comfortable. If there are only two of you this might be ok. This is like a little store with some basic things like Boy Bawang, Mama's Tocino/adobo packets, other spices/sauces, a freezer with ice cream/cakes/ube rolls and of course some food!! I ordered the pork adobo w/garlic rice and the boys chicken adobo and longanisa/lumpia combo plates. The food was delicious and served HOT! Everything was as expected...like a home cooked meal! We also got halo halo and the only downside to this is that the hole on top of the cups was smaller than the spoon they provided which made mixing/eating it a mess. I recommend asking for a straw...much easier!

My only small gripe is that sometimes, even when it's not busy, they'll blend your drink right away but let it sit in the blender for a bit before pouring. By then, it gets more watery than when it was first made. I prefer my smoothies thicker and a little chunky (which I do mention when ordering). Overall though, it's a great spot for refreshing smoothies, açaí bowls, parfaits, and more!

We had a little time to burn before going full lumberjack mode, and since I already love Nékter back home, it felt like a safe bet to swing in and fuel up. The shop itself is on the smaller side, but it's clean and well kept, the kind of place that feels fresh the moment you walk in. Seating inside is a little limited, but they've got some nice tabletop seating outside which turned out to be the real MVP. I grabbed a spot, let the Stockton sunshine hit my face, and enjoyed a quiet moment before the chaos of flying axes and competitive trash talk. My drink? Absolute perfection. Cold, refreshing, and exactly what I've come to expect from Nékter. The only small hiccup was the pickup situation. My drink had been placed on the counter with a few others and I didn't realize it was mine until I asked. But honestly, there were only two people working and the place had a little buzz going, so it felt more like a busy moment than anything else. When I asked, they were friendly and quick to help, which goes a long way in my book. Parking here is plentiful, which is always a blessing because nobody wants to hunt for parking when all they want is a smoothie and a little peace before throwing sharp objects for fun. All in all, a solid stop. Good drinks, good vibes, sunshine seating, and the perfect pregame before channeling your inner Viking at the axe throwing lanes. And let's be honest... hydration before weaponry just feels like the responsible thing to do.

I am new so I arrived about 5 minutes early to get registered and Ashley was my instructor, she is so nice and welcoming. The whole staff is, even the students. The class was packed which was a bit overwhelming trying to figure out where to sit ( Ashley recommended sitting in the middle or back for newbies ) so that's what I did, a woman from the class was so polite to create a space for me which brought my anxiety down. If the classes weren't so crowded I would have gave 5 stars! Now this class was hot I mean 5 minutes in I was sweating and the class hadn't even begun yet. I love the fact that Ashley pays attention to her students, you can tell she really cares about what she does. It starts off slow and nice and manageable but the vinyasa flow whooped my butt, I was drenched in sweat, looking around like is anyone else dying and it made me feel better knowing I wasn't alone so I stuck it out and completed it, with taking breaks in between which was encouraged so I didn't feel bad. The class was very very very challenging but rewarding, it makes me want to keep coming back so I can get better because I barely know the poses names. I loved the juice section of the studio, it was much needed after class, I ordered the blueberry matcha which was delicious and filling ! Please try it. The woman making my drink was super cool! So overall I am coming back and I highly recommend!
