Drinks are delicious ! The service is always great with not much of a wait depending on how busy it gets but they have an area with couches and games. Would def be back to try the other drinks.

I've been wanting to try BamBū since I passed by their chain in Atlantic City a few weekends ago. Was busy and didn't get the chance to try before leaving but glad I was able to find one locally here. I ordered the BamBū favorite and my friend got the smashed avocado dessert drink. Seeing the amount of toppings inside I was afraid that BamBū favorite might be too overwhelming but to my surprise, it wasn't too sweet and all the fun textures inside kept making me go back for more. My friends smashed avocado drink was very fresh, unlike any avocado smoothie variation I've had before. You can taste that they used real avocados, a lot of it and I always really appreciate when dessert places incorporate the actual ingredient in their flavoring instead of relying on artificial syrups or powders. Then we also split a pandan waffle and I got a box of macarons to-go. You might not be able to taste much difference in the pandan flavor but the Mochi-like texture of the waffle made it extra yummy especially when it's still kinda crispy on the outside, hot off the grill. Also the macarons were good, especially matcha and honey lavender but I have a weird taste for floral/fragrant flavors so might not be everyone's thing...definitely have friends who think those flavors are nasty but to each their own.

Got the BAMBU combo and a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee with coffee jelly and both were delicious. Service was great too!

We literally go here like once a week and always get the Bambu favorite. Service is great and drinks are made quick! Parking can be tight sometimes but usually is not a problem.

    2/4/22. Let's see what's shaking

2/9/22 On 2/4/22 my wife and I happened to stop by this business, because of a wrong turn made by me. This business did not have a lot of customers in the shop when we arrived. In fact, the one person I did see in the shop could have been an employee on his lunch break. Whatever the case is, there were a lot of drinks to choose from. I don't remember what my wife ordered, but when I was considering getting something like, pear, peach or mango, I learned a milk product is made with the drink. The guy working the counter said he can't make the drinks without the half and half product. I find milk product in my slushie drink to be a bad idea. Since I couldn't get water in my drink of choice instead of milk, I decided not to get anything. I did notice this restaurant had seating areas where you sit talk and play foosball or play some kind of card games. I noticed a big screen tv showing The Olympics (Olympic Games Beijing 2022 February 4, 2022 - February 20, 2022), but I will rewatch it later on. I did see cartoon characters like Spongebob ice cream and other items that one might find in a Good Humor Truck. There was also some Asian style ice cream I am not familiar with. There is one arcade machine in the corner near the bathrooms. The game I believe is called Centipede. This machine might have the function to play other games too. The floor of the place has some designs carved into the floor. Not sure if this was already there when this business took over, or it was done when this store opened up. Whatever the case is, it looks nice. My wife bought a drink and the guy made the drink in the kitchen area. I am use to seeing drinks get made out kn the open so one can see what is being put in the drink. This experience was not the case and my wife told me the drink had a funny taste to it. She later felt strange after drinking the drink. She did not finish the drink and she has no intention of ever going back here. Still, I give this place three stars on its looks and cleanliness from walking inside the shop.

I was craving for che so we came here to check this place out. We ordered the fruit addict che and it came with a lot of ice on the top and milk. As soon as we left the place, I mixed everything up and tried it to see what it tasted like. The milk in the che was not sweet and tasted watered down. There was barely any toppings, such as the fruit and jellies. For every bite of toppings you got, you would get like 3-4 spoonfuls of milk afterwards. I loved the toppings though, particularly the pandan jelly and ruby pearls. By the time we got to finishing the rest of the che after dinner, the flavoring was so diluted because all of the ice had melted. Also, I wish that they had bigger spoons. Those little long red spoons that they have don't really fit anything on there.

Julio is the best and he provides the friendliest customer service! The man is always such a joy to talk to! My favorite place to get Vietnamese drinks! I would recommend Bambu to anyone.

Fruit Addict was ok. It was not my thing but I'm pretty sure that a lot of people will like it. Kinda tastes like Thai dessert that I had when I was in Thailand. $8 with a lot of toppings. It was not that flavorful because coconut milk was kinda get dilute with ice.

Cute little spot! Parking can be a bit of a hassle as it shares a small lot with Kogiya next door and some beauty school upstairs. But if you can get a spot it's worth it! I've brought my 5 year old son here with me a few times and he loves being able to see and read the HUGE photo menu on the wall so he can pick what he wants. He typically will pick a real fruit smoothie with boba and I'll go for the fruit addict che. I've tried a few different chés and appreciate the descriptions on the menu cause otherwise I would never know what anything is. My favorite is the fruit addict which reminds me of Filipino halo halo without the ice cream. I just really love palm seeds! The interior is super relaxed, couches in one corner with some foosball and a few games at the other tables so you feel welcome to hang out and relax for a bit.

I've been wanting to try Bambu forever and was so excited that it was close to where my friends and I had dinner! My friend is Vietnamese American and she highly recommended their triple layer delight (second picture) and it was amazing!! I realized I love pandan jelly and the combo was a good balance of hearty and sweet! I will definitely order again. The passion fruit juice was one of the best passion fruit drinks I've ever had! The flavor was impeccable and I will definitely order a large next time. The cashier who I think was the owner was super friendly and helped us make recommendations. They have a huge variety of drinks so definitely a good spot for a group! They also had various snacks for sale. They have a foosball table and seating area to hang out. Highly highly recommend Bambu for delicious drinks! I forgot to mention that we also got the pandan waffle and it was amazing! Subtle and chewy goodness!

Very good selection of drinks. Good prices. Not a long wait. Great drinks right beside kogiya. The only other places I've seen these sold were in Philly. I'm happy to have one so close to home again. Yummmm

It seems that Bambu used to be in the Eden Center; however, I've never visited that location before they closed down. My friend and I found this spot by accident. He was craving an avocado smoothie and Bambu popped up as an option. Located in a super tiny area in Annandale with limited parking, Bambu has a simple yet welcoming interior and offers an appealing menu. I ordered of the Ché menu and got myself a Summer Delight. My drink was packed with goodies like red tapioca, coconut milk, grass and pandan jelly and mung beans. I also loved that my drink wasn't overly sweet. My friend, on their other hand, felt as if his smashed avocado was just whatever. I would say it's worth a try!

I first tried Bambu in LA and was so excited to learn they were in VA too! Menu is the same but service at this location is waaay too slow. My go to is always the Fruit Addict Che. Che's are basically a Vietnamese take on a slushy! What makes them amazing are all the cool toppings and ad-ons! Most of them I've never heard of before, but they are mostly jellies in different shapes. I always ask for coconut milk instead of coconut water because I love the creaminess of it! I would recommend Bambu as a cool out of the ordinary dessert place.

I was very excited to enjoy lunch here with my family and see what the hype is all about. The inside was a bit cramped. They tried to pack as many tables in the venue as possible so the walkways are narrow. There isn't even room for a host stand near the front door so at first I thought it was a seat yourself restaurant. An employee greeted us promptly and pointed us to what table my family should sit at. Once seated I noticed I could not pull my chair out very far before hitting the person behind me. My 2 year old daughter wanted to sit on my lap but there was not enough space for me to do that without interfering with the person behind me. For reference I am 5 feet tall and 112 pounds. I very rarely feel cramped but the proximity of the tables was a little claustrophobic for me. We ordered Chay Nuggets, the vegan Banh Mi option, and Pho. All the food lived up to my expectations. Hands down the best Pho I ever had. The base of the broth was good on its own, and beyond compare once some of the available sauces and toppings were added. I was impressed with how many vegetables were included in this dish. This dish was hearty and I would definitely order it again. The nuggets were a great option for my daughter. They were less fluffy than an American style nugget and nicely crisped on the outside with slightly sweet sauces for dipping. The Banh Mi was good but my least favorite of the items ordered. My husband and I both wish the tofu was a little more prominent and hearty rather than shredded. I am not sure if the way they prepared it was more authentic. Regardless the flavor was good and the baguette was memorable with a little crispness on the outside and softness in the center. While the food was worth coming back for, the service and indoor dining would make me want to take my food to go. It did not feel like a family friendly business. My daughter wanted to get up and walk around and I felt some glares from the employees. In general there was no warmth from the employees. There was no checking in on our meals or any friendly conversation at the table. Thanks Chay for so many vegan options and I am happy I finally got to check out this highly rated business.

I have to admit the quality has gone down a tiny bit (some of the food's a little dry, slightly smaller portions, namely the scallion pancake duck roll was mostly veggies instead of meat), but it's still a spot I really enjoy going to for some homey food. You can choose between thick and thin for your noodle soups and I honestly like both even tho I usually like thick noodles. Their soups are nice and brothy, not too rich which I like. I've tried most of the food on the menu and it covers the bases for when you're feeling something more light or something more filling.

We tried A&J and liked it a lot!…read more This is not a typical Chinese-American restaurant. A&J has quite a few pleasantly unexpected dishes. Service was welcoming and efficient. On a mid-Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about ¾ full. We started out with the Wonton Soup and the Spicy Wonton soup. The Wonton soup is just okay, but the Spicy Wonton Soup is wonderful and highly recommended. For another appetizer, we ordered the Scallion Pancake. It has a nice dense texture and I really liked it. It would've been even better if it came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the pickled cabbage. It was good, though lacking seasoning. Our first entrée was ground pork in a delicious sauce accompanied by sprouts and thinly sliced cucumber (or was that zucchini?). Recommended! Our second entrée was a Pan Fried Beef Bun. The beef was flavorful but the bread was kinda dry. Our last entrée was the Beef Wraps. These were great! Who woulda thunk that beef and fresh carrots would go together so well?! Oh, the chili sauce in a jar on the table is extra tasty. At the end, before we got our check, we were given a plate with sliced cucumbers in a light tasty sesame chili sauce. Excellent! But the hot tea was an epic fail. It had no flavor whatsoever. Peeking inside the teapot, all I could see was a micro tiny tea bag floating or sort of sinking. One other thing I kinda don't want to bring up in light of the great food we enjoyed, but need to in the spirit of full disclosure, is to mention that A&J shares space in the building with several other businesses. The restrooms are common to all the businesses. A&J needs to lean hard on the property owner/manager to do a deep cleaning in those restrooms. I'll leave it at that.
