Came back to Bamboo Wok the try and give it another try but to say the least it didn't really go over well again. The one thing I will say that's positive is that they always have you food ready to go when you arrive to pick it up. At least they are quick. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and the Honey Chicken. The Kung Pao was lightly battered and was made up of mostly tiny piece of dark meat chicken. I'm not even sure how or why they cut up the pieces that small. I do like though how it at least has some kick unlike other places I have been to. The Honey Chicken was we also made up of all dark meat chicken and for some reason had an odd seafood taste to it. Not really sure why that was. They are still the closest Chinese Restaurant to us and the others in the area also do not deliver so I might be stuck with Bamboo Wok till I decide to drive further east on Old St Augustine. read more

This is our go to quick Chinese take out. The prices are great and really the food is good. We've tried other places and keep coming back here for quick and simple option. I like the kung pao without peanuts extra spicy and they do not disappoint. The spice is perfect every time (most place scrimp on spice b/c they think I can't handle it...I can and bamboo wok provides!). I also like that they include mushrooms most places don't. No. We ordered a dish to split just to try it. The chicken was a lot of dark meat that was heavily breaded. The fried rice had lots of bits of pork in it. The kitchen looked clean, but the dining room is used as a storage area and didn't look clean. That may just mean they spend most of their time in the kitchen. I'm not sure how they make the egg rolls. I tried to get a picture they're just skinny, chewy, with lots of pork and not a lot of vegetables. read more

I haven't been here in over a year, even though it's the closest Chinese take out for us. Didn't like it last time, and liked it less this time. Zero stars would be more accurate. Food tastes terrible, looks terrible, and is somewhat expensive. For starters, they like to use random pieces of dark meat chicken for all of their chicken dishes. The "House Special" fried rice was the same yellow rice that they served as "fried rice" for their dinner combos, but they steamed some chicken breast and tiny shrimp and mixed it in. No additional seasoning, just extra ingredients. Great time to discover chicken breast in your food. Nothing like 2 oz of steamed chicken breast to really perk up a meal! Threw all of it in the trash, and told my wife that if I ever had the urge to order from there again, to either flatten my tires or have me Baker acted. Avoid this place like the plague. On second thought, the plague would be an improvement over eating here. I would have posted photos, but by the time I thought about it, it was already in the garbage can. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I've ordered from this restaurant at least 5 times. Their food is always consistent, it's fresh, the employees are very nice and accommodating. I usually ask for extra veggies to be added to my order, no problem ever. When I order it am always picking up for multiple people. We all enjoy our meals. My favorite so far is the Kung Pao chicken. It's really good. I've also tried the shrimp in lobster sauce, various soups, chicken/beef with broccoli, and the chicken with vegetables. It's not gourmet Chinese, and for the pricd i dont expect it to be...it's take out and for the taste, the price, the portion, the staff, what more can you ask for? read more

China Bamboo Wok close to my job makes a very easy option when I'm feeling some quick, filling Asian flavors... not much to say if comparing to what I am accustomed but being so close to work & the quick prep to pick-up time can weigh heavy as to a place to have good meal.
