I ordered the Chicken with cashews. It was delivered. It was burnt & was not very good. I was do disappointed. I've had this fish other places and it was delicious, light sauce. However, the Krab Rangoon was very good. read more

I only order two things here, but both are good. The Roast Pork Egg Foo Young is very good. If also had their Boneless Ribs, and that was good, too. This is a small little place, mainly for take-out. I am so happy to find a Chinese place where I can get good Egg Foo Young. I've tried so many Chinese places and not happy with them. read more

I eat here at least once a week. Food is amazing!!!. Their lo mein is top notch. They also have this tea that's sometime buy one get one free and it's amazing. Service it also fast I've nvr waited more then 10 mins and the customer service is good too. read more

"Ten Minnit" the lady behind the counter says after I asked how long my order will be ready. So it begs the question... why does any of my order, no matter how big or how small, only takes 10 minutes to make? Does the laws of fast food cooking seize to exist in their kitchen? And this is not my first time here by the way. Hmmm... so I put her to the test. I ordered the following TO-GO: Teriyaki Chicken Egg Drop Soup Sweet and Sour Chicken House Special Lo Mein Food was ready and made in 8 minutes, 47 seconds.... not bad and if we rounded that off, that would be "Ten Minnit". Girl at the counter wasn't very friendly at all. Haven't had Chinese food here in Jacksonville yet and this place was close to home. Sesame chicken was good, but the sweet and sour chicken was all breading and not good. Probably won't go back here. read more

Came back to Bamboo Wok the try and give it another try but to say the least it didn't really go over well again. The one thing I will say that's positive is that they always have you food ready to go when you arrive to pick it up. At least they are quick. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and the Honey Chicken. The Kung Pao was lightly battered and was made up of mostly tiny piece of dark meat chicken. I'm not even sure how or why they cut up the pieces that small. I do like though how it at least has some kick unlike other places I have been to. The Honey Chicken was we also made up of all dark meat chicken and for some reason had an odd seafood taste to it. Not really sure why that was. They are still the closest Chinese Restaurant to us and the others in the area also do not deliver so I might be stuck with Bamboo Wok till I decide to drive further east on Old St Augustine. read more

This is our go to quick Chinese take out. The prices are great and really the food is good. We've tried other places and keep coming back here for quick and simple option. I like the kung pao without peanuts extra spicy and they do not disappoint. The spice is perfect every time (most place scrimp on spice b/c they think I can't handle it...I can and bamboo wok provides!). I also like that they include mushrooms most places don't. I haven't tried their soup which is how we usually gauge good from great so maybe next time. Cleanish and fast...I will take it. read more

While the food is OK and a large entree for one could serve two people, The customer service is mediocre at best. While English may be a second language, the least they say, with a smile... "Thank you for your custom, hope to see you soon". It is my last time I will head on down the road to the new chinesse resturant where the food and customer service is better. read more

No. We ordered a dish to split just to try it. The chicken was a lot of dark meat that was heavily breaded. The fried rice had lots of bits of pork in it. The kitchen looked clean, but the dining room is used as a storage area and didn't look clean. That may just mean they spend most of their time in the kitchen. I'm not sure how they make the egg rolls. I tried to get a picture they're just skinny, chewy, with lots of pork and not a lot of vegetables. read more

I haven't been here in over a year, even though it's the closest Chinese take out for us. Didn't like it last time, and liked it less this time. Zero stars would be more accurate. Food tastes terrible, looks terrible, and is somewhat expensive. For starters, they like to use random pieces of dark meat chicken for all of their chicken dishes. The "House Special" fried rice was the same yellow rice that they served as "fried rice" for their dinner combos, but they steamed some chicken breast and tiny shrimp and mixed it in. No additional seasoning, just extra ingredients. Great time to discover chicken breast in your food. Nothing like 2 oz of steamed chicken breast to really perk up a meal! Threw all of it in the trash, and told my wife that if I ever had the urge to order from there again, to either flatten my tires or have me Baker acted. Avoid this place like the plague. On second thought, the plague would be an improvement over eating here. I would have posted photos, but by the time I thought about it, it was already in the garbage can. I'm not kidding about where this food ended up. Stay away! read more

I just stopped by and ordered shrimp w.broccoli by dine in. The food so nasty and too salty. I brought it back to cashier and told her, she went back kitchen and a minute later brought the food back to me. The rice, broccoli, shrimp and sauce mixed up. It looked being used and unprofessional. The most important things is the food still too salty. Nothing different and better. I brought it back to cashier and told her: you can have it and walked out the restaurant. Definitely no recommend for anyone to come there. Do not waste your time. What a nasty staff, so much attitude for paying customers. They dont even deliver so you'll be wasting your time and gas driving to a dirty resturant that food tastes like it's been cooked two to three days earlier. Was it even chicken? Who knows. read more

Terrible place! Now that original owners are gone and new owners are running the place. Very sad they are gone because the place that is normally busy for take out is now empty. I do not think this place will last much longer if they do not make changes. Good lunch specials here. $5.25 gets you one of 37 different deals. The meals are large with lots of,your choice of protein. I took my wife back here for a late dinner (they are open till 11pm on the weekends). The food was good....but I almost lost it when I saw a cockroach run across the floor!!!! I HATE that! For that alone I am not sure if and when I will go back. I did like the food, but I cannot deal with bugs in a restaurant. I know it's probably not uncommon.... I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I've ordered from this restaurant at least 5 times. Their food is always consistent, it's fresh, the employees are very nice and accommodating. I usually ask for extra veggies to be added to my order, no problem ever. When I order it am always picking up for multiple people. We all enjoy our meals. My favorite so far is the Kung Pao chicken. It's really good. I've also tried the shrimp in lobster sauce, various soups, chicken/beef with broccoli, and the chicken with vegetables. It's not gourmet Chinese, and for the pricd i dont expect it to be...it's take out and for the taste, the price, the portion, the staff, what more can you ask for? read more

China Bamboo Wok close to my job makes a very easy option when I'm feeling some quick, filling Asian flavors... not much to say if comparing to what I am accustomed but being so close to work & the quick prep to pick-up time can weigh heavy as to a place to have good meal. The quick order via phone can be annoying at first but fast order does make to less fuss & unnecessary chatter that could delay orders. It's not the best but certainly not the worst... Our experience. My girlfriend doesn't eat chicken, so she doesn't order chicken. She gets chicken and accidentally eats the chicken after 2 years of not. Lady got mad when she asked for it to be exchanged for what she ordered. She eventually pays an extra $1.35 to have the non chicken version and the food blows anyway. 0/fuck read more

Terrible. Just going to keep this plain and simple. Could only eat the dumplings and fried donuts, owner offered to give refund upon me returning the food? Hopefully it wasn't recycled. Even then he prorated my refund, gave me $14 back for $20 worth of food. Oh well, glad to have gotten anything back. read more

They used a low quality tea bag instead of real loose jasmine tea leaves which also includes the flowers. No fragrance at all of Jasmine tea. Needless to say, I will not be going back on my next visit. It was very expensive for what they give you. Especially since the food was so bad. I gave it two stars because the service was very good and the view was decent. I am Chinese... born in Hong Kong. So I know what dim sum should taste like. I wish I had seen the review that had a photo of the salt and pepper shrimp before I went because I would not have gone. Their salt and pepper shrimp is not authentic and I would have not gone and saved myself $80 for my lunch.

This was done free of charge. I ordered an avocado salad and a sashimi appetizer. The avocado salad was fresh contained an entire avocado and served in a small bed of greens. There was a ginger dressing just on the grains and then a tangy creamy sauce for the avocados. It was presented in a very lovely and organized way. Next, I had the sashimi appetizer, a selection of four different kinds of fish, very fresh end of good quality, generously, sliced, and again the presentation was beautiful. The aesthetics of the restaurant are new modern Japanese and quite relaxing. My favorite part is it's a nice restaurant in easy walking distance of Neptune Beach. Highly recommended

I had the Sweet & Sour Pork with Fried Rice for my entree, which is the same things had last time and it's still great. Between the appetizer and the soup and the entree, I was hoping to have enough to take home for lunch tomorrow and I definitely did. My wife had the General Chicken. She really liked the sauce because it was sweet but has a little bit of spicy kick to it. She said the same thing I said about the chicken itself; she loved that it was big pieces of juicy white meat. She was also surprised by how much she liked the broccoli which made for one of those things where you could get a bite of everything at once.
