I used to come here as a child with my grandparents, I have so many core memories with them here. The food is delicious, the service is hospitable and the ambience feels like you're home. I love how every detail of this place feels just as it did over 15 years ago. I come here with my little family every chance I get, the Bamboo Inn has a special place in my heart.

Great prices, great food. Love coming here and seeing the owner Lisa and her family cooking in the kitchen. A total Jem of a restaurant.

The seasoning too salty, can shrimp gross! No vegetables. Really disappointed with the quality of this rice .

I came in on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30pm. I was drawn by the easy options and good pricing, cash only btw. The place is a little older and the table I sat at was dusty, but they have an A rating, so I didn't mind I guess. The place is quaint to say the least, the woman at the front is friendly and inviting when you enter. My food came out in 7 minutes flat. I ordered the Option E Lunch special: Sweet and Sour Chicken, came out to like $6.80. Came with egg drop soup, which you need to dine in to have. It was mostly chicken broth and not so much egg drops, nor was it thickened as you might expect, but the flavor wasn't bad, possibly a little salty if you have a sensitive palette, which I don't. The chicken had a really good fry on it, but a flavor in the background afterward I can only describe as dusty. I thought possibly from the bell pepper, but the initial bite is good. There was not a lot of chicken per piece too, mostly breading. The wonton chips already have sweet & sour sauce which is fine, but wish there was a little more chips overall, but no complaints. The fried rice was lacking. I assumed it's white rice, but it was very mealy and not very fried, with that same musky dust aftertaste. Might have been from the pans or some other reason. It unfortunately made what would have been a go-to spot for when I was in a hurry on lunch into a place I probably wouldn't return to.

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

Anything you can eat you any night you don't have to cook is usually a great night out. This evening was no exception. Our waitress was kind and accommodating. Their pork shumai was delicious, xiao long bao's soup dumplings were flavorful. Delicious. I definitely need a second trip here to try their soups and more of their variety of dumplings.

On our most recent visit, we tried the sesame noodles, and I've been daydreaming about them ever since. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the vibes inside are great, and there's a solid drink selection with cocktails, draft beer, and bottled options. And the price point? Outrageously reasonable, especially in this economy. Consistently delicious food, great service, and incredible value. Highly recommend!

Cotat is one of the most iconic Sancerre producers, and because his wines are built to age, finding a 2007 vintage on the menu here was a massive treat. While we didn't dive into the proper cocktail menu, my partner ordered the non-alcoholic Hojicha Orange Milk Punch, which was phenomenal, and judging by how beautiful the drinks at neighboring tables looked, I'd assume their cocktail program is strong.
