My work colleagues insisted I go here on a day I wasn't even going to take lunch. They basically dragged me. I am SO glad they did. Not only is the owner and front of house an awesome guy that keeps you smiling, he also made a big effort to direct us to some great choices based on our tastes. I cannot tell you how much I like their chilli crunch. Sooooo good. I've had so many and theirs is definitely my favorite. It is spicy so be careful. Alllll of the food was incredible. I could eat there three times a day and be huge and happy. It appears to be a little hole in the wall but it is super clean and very nice inside. Please check it out for your own sake. You will not be dissapointed.

Let's get it out of the way: service is wonderful, the owner tries his best with a welcoming atmosphere, friendly personality and offering us water to-go, but that's where it ends. In terms of food quality, I'm not sure where most of the reviewers are coming from. Granted, it's not the worst items I've ever tried, but it's certainly not authentic ramen noodles (I would check out Hanabi Ramen, Hakata Ramen & Wabi House for something better). Sushi & Takoyaki could've also been better (Check Kura Sushi or Mister Max) and based on the environment of the restaurant it certainly doesn't feel "Japanese". It's a restaurant I feel like "new" ramen lovers go to, a place where people who don't know where to start would try ramen and sushi here. My conclusion; food was at best, tolerable and bland, but still good enough to finish the meals rather than wasting. While I am critical of the food and it's not a first choice, I applaud the owner for his humor and interaction with customers. He's very proactive and ensures every customer gets a good experience while eating here. Our waitress was also very sweet!

Amazing food and service! Owner is super nice and out going. Sushi rolls are priced well and taste good. I recommend ordering the takoyaki as an appetizer! Definitely going to be a regular here.

I went in just a bit after they opened and was greeted by the owner pretty much straight away. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and the Kara-age. When the food came, they brought out their delicious homemade chili oil, and it complimented the ramen broth perfectly. The owner told me that they have their oil bowls go missing and I could see why. The entire staff was really friendly and the food was delicious. And you can buy the chili oil, which is a big plus in my book.

This place is an absolute hidden gym. Not only was the Ramen so flavorful, but the sauces are made in house. I had the sweet-and-sour sauce with the eggrolls, which were crispy by the way and the dumplings. That was a spectacular sweet-and-sour sauce. The restaurant has a great ambience as well. There are plenty of seats and they could even host large parties. Service here was top-tier. I was greeted at the door with a handshake and a welcome and they checked on us the perfect amount of times. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

Needless to say, I was disappointed with the service this time. I wouldn't say it wasn't busy, but it wasn't full either. There were two servers (one male and one female) running the whole restaurant, which is understandably frustrating on their end. However, service was not great. Never once were we checked in after receiving the food (which also took 15, maybe 20 minutes to reach us when it was never this long before) and even after completing our meals we had to flag down our male server multiple times to get a to-go box and our bill. I made eye contact with the female server and moved my bill folder containing my card. She glanced at me and kept walking, and I assumed she told the male server to check on us. But when he came out he walked right by our table and did something else. We called out politely two more times but he didn't hear us. My stepfather was ready to walk up to him instead but I ushered him to wait. Eventually the male server completed our transaction and we silently walked out the store. This restaurant is considered one of my stepfather's favorites; but even he was flabbergasted at the service provided tonight. I really hope the restaurant hires more staff as they look overwhelmed.

The space feels intimate and welcoming, the kind of spot where the steam from the bowls fogs up the windows and time slows down just enough to enjoy your meal. The ramen is where Kintaro really shines. The broth is deeply flavored and comforting, rich without feeling heavy, and clearly simmered with care. Every sip feels intentional. The noodles have that perfect bite, springy and substantial, soaking up the broth without going soft. Toppings are generous and well balanced, especially the pork, which is tender and savory and melts into the broth in the best way. What really sells the experience is how everything works together. The warmth of the space, the aroma of the kitchen, and the layered flavors in the bowl create something that feels less like a quick meal and more like a small ritual. It's the kind of place you want to linger, finishing the last drops of broth even when you're already full. Kintaro isn't flashy or overhyped. It's just solid, soulful ramen served in a space that feels like a refuge. If you're craving something comforting and satisfying, this is absolutely the spot.

The restaurant is very elegant, very neat, clean and well organized. I got there as they opened, and was promptly greeted by Ms. Lucy, hoste/waitress, who was soft spoken, very welcoming, with a very nice smile and beautiful personality, and was very efficient. She took my order, brought me a glass of water, and I ordered the Shoyu chicken ramen for $13.00 plus $2.00 added for a large. The Shouyu Chicken ramen was very delicious, the chicken broth was so good great flavor. Albeit, in my humble opinion the noodles, other toppings and chicken was very sparse for the price of the ramen. But, as far as taste goes it was one the best I have had so far. I also had the chicken fried rice bowl, for $10.00 $2.00 added for chicken, and gyoza (6pcs), for $7.00. to go for my daughter. The chicken fried rice was very flavorful, and daughter said the guys was very delicious. I will most definitely be coming here again the food was very satisfying, Ms. Lucy, is awesome and very kind. Please come on in and support this great ramfn restaurant. Hope to see you there. I highly recommend it.

Gyoza to start that were nice and crispy, could have done with more than the teaspoonful of sauce we were given though. Maximum tea points, hot green tea that tasted delicious and was served in the cutest little pot I've seen in a while. It was a terrible pourer though, but the waiter warned me and put some napkins on the table to clean up. The ramen was quite disappointing, I know how spoiled I currently am with the memory of Ichibahn burned into my brain, but...these were quite pricey and not that good. The broth was lightly flavored with little depth, the beansprouts and corn (why are these in my ramen?) Moved the flavour profile even brighter and there was quite a lot of green onion. With a $5 add on for 2 small slices of extra pork that's a $20 bowl. So yes, 3 stars. They have bottled Kirin so I might be back, but I will be exploring the other menu items.
