    *Three cup chicken*
    Roni S.

Went here on a Saturday with my family & the wait wasn't that bad! They texted us within 10-15mins & had our table ready. I ordered the Three cup chicken and it came with a side of rice! My mom requested Seafood Phó since they didn't have it on the menu. They happily accepted her request and she enjoyed every bit of it! My food was too sweet for my liking but very saucy and delicious! Ambiance was soothing; would definitely come again :)

The service was fine but the undercooked chicken wings were not the vibe!! Our friends meals were not great either. Very expensive for nothing! Would not go back

Very delicious and service was so great. I would recommend. I love the sweet and sour pork

Hands down the worst experience of all the restaurants at the casino. Thought we would try this place for Veteran's day, as we've been to most of the other establishments here. Took way too long to be seated, food was way overpriced for what you get, and food takes forever to get there. We literally only ordered hot and sour soup, noodles, and soup dumplings. Noodles came out in about 20 minutes. Soup at about 40 (and was lukewarm) and dumplings never came. At about an hour and ten minutes they told us they were never put in the steamer. No "hey let us get that for you" or "is there anything we can do", nothing. Also sat for over an hour and not one person ever asked if I needed another drink or a refill. 1/10 we won't be back for any reason. Save time and money and LITERALLY go anywhere but here.

Crispy Garlic Pork Rib appetizer. Small portion for the price, little garlic flavor. 5/10

My wife and I were visiting from out of state and we chose to eat at Bamboo 8 out of all of the dining options at Ilani casino. Service was great and the restaurant itself was very nice with a full bar with great selections and nice tables/chairs, cutlery, plates and drinkware. The food, while mostly very good, was overpriced in my opinion. We had the crispy pork ribs appetizer, singapore noodles, and orange chicken. The pork ribs and singapore noodles were good, but we felt the portions were small for the price. The orange chicken was disappointing. It had a lot of orange citrus flavor with fresh orange pieces and a very orange-y sauce. Perhaps we were expecting something different and closer to orange chicken we have had at other restaurants, so we didn't enjoy it as much. They use chicken breast (white meat) instead of thigh/leg meat (dark meat) and the batter was soggy and soaked in the orange sauce. I guess we prefer the crispier, spicier, dark meat version that is coated in sauce but not sitting in a pool of sauce which makes it soggy. We also ordered both of the desserts - Mango Sago and Sweet Osmanthus Flowers & Rice Dumplings. We weren't aware - nor did the menu specify - that the Sweet Osmanthus Rice Dumplings dessert was served warm. We were expecting a cold dessert but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Be aware that neither of he dessert options are very sweet. The Mango Sago is served cold and is the sweeter of the two desserts, but neither were memorable and we would pass on dessert if we were to return to Bamboo 8. The best part for us was the unique flavor of their chili oil condiment. It has a very different, floral flavor that we haven't experienced with chili oils at other asian restaurants. We told our server how much we like it and she was nice enough to bring us some to take with us. Their chili oil really made this a 3 star instead of a 2 star experience, but we love spicy Sichuan food, noodles, and rice with loads of chili oil so your mileage may vary on this. Good restaurant in a casino setting but otherwise we would not return. I wish Bamboo 8 and their staff the best!

Unlike most Cantonese restaurants which stop dim sum service in the early afternoon, this restaurant actually offers dim sum all day. On top of this, prices were incredibly reasonable across the board, and portions sizes were quite generous as well. Between the seven in our party, we split two orders of siu mai, an order of char siu bao, taro puffs, steamed spare ribs, an jelly fish appetizer, a plate of char siu, steamed gai lan with oyster sauce, and stir fried noodles with beef. The quality of dim sum is quite good. The siu mai was tender and larger than your average piece of siu mai. The spare ribs were meaty, tender, and didn't contain too much fatty, grisly parts. The only dish that could've been better was the char siu pork, which I felt was too lean, and lacked a bit of flavor. To be honest, lean pork is actually what some folks prefer, so your milage may vary here. The dish that I enjoyed the most was the stir fried noodles with beef. The beef was incredibly tender -- likely the result of velveting with cornstarch, the noodles were well-seasoned, and garnish of raw bean sprouts provided a nice crunchy texture to the dish. This dish was so large, there was enough for everyone to go back for seconds. If you're looking for a Chinese spot that serves tasty food without breaking the bank, H K Cafe is a wonderful option. I would gladly stop by here again.

It was so bad that I had to spit it out immediately. I called the server over to let them know because I didn't want anyone else to eat it. The response I got was that "maybe the hot weather made it taste like that." That explanation was disappointing. If the food has gone bad because of the weather, it shouldn't be served to customers in the first place. I've eaten enough to know the difference between fresh food and spoiled food, and this definitely tasted off. This was my first experience like this at HK, and it left a really bad impression. I hope they pay closer attention to food quality and freshness so other customers don't have the same experience.
