I visited this morning for some much needed self care for my coming birthday. Booking an…read moreappointment was very easy, when I called the spa, staff answered all of my questions and provided appropriate recommendations. I arrived and was given the tour. This is a small facility located in a bustling shopping center with several other spas on the strip. I spent a brief 15 minutes in the red light therapy bed. I was then transferred to the LED Sauna room. I was not provided with a robe to change into which was inconvenient. I was told robes would be ordered soon. I booked the spa shower following my 45 minute sauna time. There is 1 shower to use. I enjoyed my time in the sauna. The music was very relaxing and I really worked up a sweat effortlessly. I enjoyed the options of color therapy to choose from. I chose blue to help with creating a sense of calm and red. Once finished I headed to the shower room in my towel. (No spa robes ). Staff failed to check the shower for cleanliness or refilling the shower gel. The Shower Gel was close to empty. Luckily, I came prepared with shower shoes and my own shower gel. The shower drain was full of thick black hair. Apparently someone shampooed their hair previously and didn't clean up after themselves and staff didn't care enough about me as a paying customer to check the shower before I entered. I did not appreciate this. If you can't ensure the shower is presentable, don't offer to customers. When I finished showering I met with staff at the front desk to checkout. At that time, I informed them that the shower gel needs to be refilled. I was not offered a cool beverage when checking out, but asked if I would schedule a return visit. My answer was no. Customer Service and Care needs work here. I will find another business to spend my hard earned money at.

the newest trend these days is called biohacking., and Red Light Therapy is one of the modern-day…read morebiohacking techniques that has gained a lot of popularity in recent times. I was very fortunate to have found Beem and have been a 'frequent flyer' for them. Since becoming a 'founding' member from the early part of their recruitment, I purchased and unlimited membership, which provides me access to both red light therapy as well as a sauna. Beem has some of the friendliest staff around. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by such great staff such as Abby, Samantha, or the manager Katy (and a few others, who I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know as of yet). They are there to explain all the options that are available for you, and provide you with additional towels as well as a 'wet facecloth' that is very refreshing for after your sessions. These towelettes are soaked in a cucumber based substance (my belief) and provides a great refreshing feeling after sitting in the sauna or getting your red light therapy. Beem is conveniently located off of Tryon Road in the Walmart shopping center. It is a smallish facility from the outside, but inside it is quite spacious. The first room that is on the left side is one of the red light therapy rooms. When you enter, it looks like a 'tanning bed', however it is much cleaner and much easier to use. The staff set a timer for you from the outside, and it 'beeps' half way through to allow you to turn over or just to know that you are half way through the session. These sessions last approximately 15 minutes. Since these are 'infrared' they do provide you with goggles that will block the infrared from your eyes. The amount of infrared that you are receiving is doing your body justice, but not enough to actually harm you. Studies have shown that infrared therapy can help with: Pain relief: Infrared light can help relieve pain and muscle tension by improving circulation and reducing inflammation. Wound healing: Infrared light can help wounds heal faster and promote cell regeneration by increasing blood flow of oxygen-rich blood. Skin health: Infrared light can improve skin complexion and purify skin. I personally started using it for pain relief, as I have shoulder issues. After going here for a few weeks, my shoulders started feeling better and has given me more flexibility. Personally, I like to go into the Sauna afterwards, where I am able to push the temperature up. There are 8 different light settings that are available, which give you different benefits. According to their guide (posted on the window within the sauna), RED: Energy - red brings warmth, energy, and stimulation. Good for fatigue and energizes circulation PINK: Soothing - pink is calming, soothing and eliminates impurities from the blood stream ORANGE - Happiness - orange brings enthusiasm, confidence, joyfulness and assists with digestive health YELLOW: Cheerfulness - yellow stimulates happiness, gives mental clarity, inspires and purifies the skin GREEN: BALANCE - green helps reduce the symptoms of depression, stress, insomnia and helps fight infection TURQUOISE - Uplifting - turquoise rejuvenates the skin, relaxes feelings of stress, and is cleansing to the body BLUE - Calming - blue reduces blood pressure and relieves headaches. Great for relaxing the mind and body VIOLET - Strengthen - violet soothes the nervous systems, improves immunity and inflammation. Inside of these saunas, they also provide you with an IPAD where you can connect to YouTube, watch Netflix, or anything else. I personally use it to find a soothing station on YouTube and listen to the 'Zen' type of music that radiates throughout the sauna. There are also different lighting options where you can make it darker or lighter. (I prefer darkness, so i can try to destress my mind while enjoying the benefits of the heat). When booking your session, you may want to see if the shower is available. they do have 1 shower, and it books up rather quickly. So, if you do plan on going during the day and need to get back to work, this is a great option for you to have. After the sessions are over, they have a small 'snack area' where you can purchase some snacks. There isn't a huge display, but there are some available. Overall, the concept of Beem is fantastic. They have so much to offer and with their unlimited monthly package, it is quite beneficial to utilize it to the max. as noted previously, I'm a 'frequent flyer' and go nearly everyday. I have seen some great benefits from it, as I've had some long lasting ailments and have noticed small changes over the last few weeks that I've been going. If you are not convinced, then try them out. You will not be disappointed.

I enjoyed the Swedish body balance massage. May was an expert at providing the gentle and relaxing…read morepressure that this massage called for. I felt my anxiety from just the day to day hustle and bustle melt away. I felt so much emotional relief from "just doing" and I entered a state of calm and balance. The massage was everything that I needed. Update: as I've had 24 hours to come back to reality, I wanted to share a few additional thoughts. My locker wasn't personalized and this added touch definitely set Woodhouse apart since there are very little amenities here. Not having the personalization on my locker didn't take away from the 5* massage experience but it is memorable. I've had similar quality massages for half the price, so I wanted to add this to show that the added value wasn't any different than other spas. When I entered the quiet room in the beginning there was wine there with my name on it and I appreciated it. I think this is standard just as the locker personalization is the same. The questionnaire asked for sizing for robe/shoes and drink preferences. I got a robe and shoes that almost didn't fit. I tried to try on other robes but none gave the coverage. Luckily, I had on a slip jumper I could wear underneath my robe until I got to my massage room to take it off. After my massage, the quiet room was noisy. Returning to use bathroom and wash my hands the soap dispenser in the bathroom was near empty. Staff should be mindful that although it's close to closing customers are still in the building trying to get the last little bit of a relaxation and pleasant experience. Dropping this from a 5* to a 4 (respectfully).

From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel so special and celebrated for my birthday. Thoughtful birthday notes were waiting for me on my locker and with my selected beverage in the quiet room. It was such a lovely and personal touch. The true highlight, though, was my Lift & Firm Facial with Ann. Hands down the best facial I've had in many years! Ann was phenomenal--she had the perfect balance of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness. She explained each step of the process without interrupting the calming atmosphere and used just the right amount of pressure during the face and shoulder massage portion (which was divine!). She took care to ask about any sensitivities and truly customized the experience to my needs. By the end of my service, I felt completely relaxed, rejuvenated, and honestly, I didn't want to leave the room--I could've taken a nap right there! My skin feels amazing and my stress just melted away. The entire experience, from the serene ambiance to the personalized service, was the perfect treat. I will absolutely be coming back, and Ann will be my go-to from now on. If you're looking for a place to unwind and feel genuinely pampered, try Woodhouse.

There are numerous classes that are serious workouts. Yoga, hot yoga, stretch, etc. I'm not a swimmer, but if I was I think the swim facilities are second to none, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor pool is awesome, and will serve adult beverages, which is a nice option. There's steam, sauna, whirlpool, and a clean and well stocked locker room. I joined as soon as I could and was there on day one. Love this place! Finally, shout out to Courtney, who is always there with a smile and exuberant hello.

I love the group fitness classes and I love that you reserve your spot in advance. They also just started a new Core Tone Reform class with reformers for regular members, and that class kicks your butt! I also really enjoy the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzis. Another benefit is the kids membership. My stepdaughter loves coming to the kids club for gymnastics, rock climbing, yoga, and more. I know that she is having fun while I'm doing a class. They have Parents Night Out on the weekends and that's such a nice perk! There's also day camps, which has saved us a few times when we needed child care during a school break. The pool is also wonderful in the summertime. The cafe food is average. I'd love it if the quality was amped up just a bit. The only thing I really ever get is the vegan PB& B shake. It's delicious! It has peanut butter, banana, cafe mocha greens, almond milk, and vegan protein powder. I haven't been to the salon yet, but it's great that this is an option. Overall, I love this gym and I would go every day if I could.

I am always so tense, my muscles are almost always in knots, and I've recently started a fairly strenuous workout regime, so I've been coming here for deep tissue massages. They have done wonders for me. I leave feeling like a new person! Also, the spa is gorgeous and the employees are super friendly. There are lots of amenities for you to use while you wait for your time slot, or after you are done. I've genuinely enjoyed my experiences here. So why 4/5? Well, as others have mentioned it is damn near impossible to make a reservation unless you are there in person; calling in a reservation takes forever. Also, you can only get a reservation Monday-Thursday if you are not staying at the hotel. Again, as others mentioned, the online booking tool is ridiculously inefficient. You have to click on each day to find an opening. Who has time for that? That said, they do open up to non-guests the day of IF the hotel guests don't fill all the slots. But how do you even plan ahead for that? If they upgrade the booking tool and perhaps open up a few slots for non - hotel guests on weekends (before the weekend of), this would easily be 5 stars.
