I've been to Amelia a few times for skincare services. I've had 1 chemical peel here, 1 microneedling, and 1 hydrafacial. Like so many others, I had awful "maskne" for the better part of 2020, and it really bugged me out by the end of 2020. Around Thanksgiving, Amelia had this special promo where you can buy a gift card and get a 20% bonus, so hypothetically you can spend $600 on a gift card valued at $720. That's what I did. I think it's an annual promo around the holidays and I'd recommend budgeting your skincare needs and buying the gift card at that time. The Perfect Derma Peel (PDP) was fantastic and really helped with my acne. If you're struggling with acne or hyperpigmentation like I was, I'd really recommend it. It will reveal baby-smooth skin! It's not the most comfortable recovery, but it works and I loved it. The hydrafacial was a GAME CHANGER for me. I've seen both Chelsea and Coral -- both are amazing, they listen to you, and you cannot go wrong with either. I remember Chelsea telling me to give myself some "grace" when I went in feeling awful, and Coral working hard to get my skin right before my wedding. Which brings me to the hydrafacial. We were 2 weeks before my wedding and I had broken out again (of course, because why not) and the acne was stubborn. We did dermaplaning (my first time), a hydrafacial, and Coral added blue light therapy to kill the acne bacteria. This "after" pic was taken 24 hrs after my hydrafacial. I wish hydrafacials were in my budget to do monthly LOL. But I will for sure be back for some chemical peels and hyrafacials on some regular cadence moving forward. ‼WARNING : DONT LET BOZENA TOUCH YOUR FACE‼ On January 26 I had a consultation with dr Pyle and a lip filler appointment with Bozena. I had lost over 30 pounds after having two kids back to back and was ready to treat myself. After my consultation with Dr Pyle I went straight to my first filler appointment with Bozena. Right away she seemed nervous and unsure of everything going on. She never talked about the shape of my lips, the asymmetry of my lips etc. she asked what product I wanted as if I knew the best choice and she also listed their other products as if I knew what was best with out giving her opinion or information at all. I told her I only really had heard about Juvederm but didn't know what she though was best. With little to no discussion about the product, she then slathered the lidocaine on my lips, and told me to keep my mouth shut. Ok. The lidocaine started burning within minutes. My husband tells her it's burning and she's shocked again doesn't know what to do, we wipe it off and she disappears for 15 minutes and leaves me in the room, after I just had a reaction to what she put on me! Bozena comes back offering a dental block I tell her no I think she just put it on to thick, we reapply in a thinner layer and have no problem. She finishes my lips tells, me not to worry about the bumps and to massage them sends me on my way and is more concerned with me sending her pics in two weeks than any aftercare or questions I might have. Within about 4-5 days I can notice big asymmetries and my bottom lip was very wide vs full in the middle which I told her I wanted. I figured it was apart of Healing til I notice the bumps in my lip are blue and are in fact the Tyndall effect. I found a great injector and scheduled a free consultation, when she saw me she apologized profusely for what had happened to me and said it was above my border, uneven, and I did have the Tyndall effect(surface filler) not to mention the bumps were becoming painful, the one in my top lip the was inside my lip hurt until after the second session of dissolving it. We called Amelia that week and got with the director immediately, they were very helpful and dissolved the filler free of charge. I'm really disappointed someone was practically allowed to experiment on my face. We were told after this she would be being shadowed by Jen, when I went for my second appt what do ya know she was in that room alone with someone else's face she has no business touching and I know that for sure since I was with Jen and the other injector had just finished with someone else. I live an hour and a half away and had to drive here 3 different times which should have only been once. I looked at Dr Pyles work for a really long time and thought I was set on who would be best for me, but Bozena also represents that company as a whole and I can't trust their judgement on who they hire to care for their patients. As someone with major social anxiety and surgery fears after a bad emergency c section this was a big thing for me and Amelia aesthetics ruined my first ever experience. All the money they refund and offers don't change the fact Bozena is still injecting there And they allowed me and probably plenty of others to be her guinea pig. read more

I wanted to write this review... I see so many positive experiences and wanted to share my horrible experience. I had researched with my sister the best place to go for implant exchanges. The number one go to here in Raleigh was Amelia. We both scheduled our appointments for consult and paid the 500.00 fee. We were given a website to look at to get inspiration for our new sets. I was very excited to get mine swapped. I had originally had mine done threw the military 10yrs ago .. so I had some questions about them... for instance, I wasn't so sure they were under the muscle. I had no issues really with the look of them. Mind you I have had no kids or tremendous weight loss/gain. They had a natural drop to them. The day of my appointment I was nervous. Going in I knew I wanted them a little bigger. My inspiration photos were showing a little bigger and natural looking. When I walked in the offices, I was amazed at how nice it was. The front desk directed me to another desk where they took my intake info. I think waited past my appointment time 30mins or so. I wasn't too concerned because again I was nervous and happy that I was able to get into my number choice for this exchange. (I will revisit this issue later on in this review) I was told by someone that the doctor was running late and would be with me soon. Once in the doctors office we talked about my concerns. About how I wasn't sure if it was under the muscle and that maybe one had shifted to my armpit a little. I told her that I was instructed to change them at 10yrs and I had the money now to do so. Also I was in good health to do them. To be clear I wasn't feeling any way negative about my breasts.. it was just time according to the doctor who placed them and I had the time and means to do it. Now we went into the exam room. The Dr looked me over maybe 5 mins spent there. I was told to dress and head back to her office. This is where she told me that she would recommend a small lift doubling my size. I risked about being under the muscle and we checked again and at this point she told me we would go over to the payment person. As we were getting ready to walk out she asked to see my inspiration photos and then we went to the payment person.. where I waited again for about 5 mins. My time with the doctor seemed like she was a bit rushed.. which probably was correct because I waited for so long going in... but again I thought nothing of it because it was my number one choice and we had a plan forward. In the payment office we set the date and she gave me my quotes. It was missing just a simple implant change so I questioned it and she created a quote for it. When I left we decided to wait on what procedure I wanted. It was quoted as a lift, a life and exchange and an exchange. I only questioned it because the doctor mentioned that my implants were probably fine for a few more years. This is were things get rough. I thought on doing just a lift and decided not to. My breasts looked natural and I really didn't want the scars. I need to replace the implants eventually so again.. time.. money .. health were all in my favor. I emailed them to let them know just the exchange and asked for a date in July verses the date in March. Later that day I received a call from the person who set my date and talked about payment... she said the doctor was not comfortable doing just an exchange because I would not be happy with my results. I explained to her that I didn't want the scars and that was my main thing. I was happy with my current ones and would be happy with just a lift. I explained it multiple times in different ways. She said she would talk to the doctor and then call me back. I never received a call that day. I spent most of the day thinking about my breasts and analyzing them, I had never seen an issue before but the doctor doesn't want to do it because I wouldn't be happy? I was happy.. it was just a necessity that needed to be done. I sent an email that night telling them that I was uncomfortable with the situation. The amount of miscommunication and now I felt bad about my body was enough. I asked for a call to coordinate my refund.Even Worse.. Later the next day I received a call from a man in the customer care department. He asked for my experience.. I told him everything. He stopped me at the late appointment and said I should have received a gift card for having to sit there so long. I almost felt like I was being questioned like I wasn't telling the truth.. However.... I WAS. Then after that he told me "Not everyone is an Amelia girl." That really hurt my feelings and made me feel even worse about the situation. They created a problem were there was none. The made me feel bad about my body when I didn't. Thing is.. How do you know I would be unhappy with my results? We didn't discuss it much.. you looked at one photo after .. kind of like it was just something you forgot. read more

Of all of the Skin Care Salons in Raleigh, the aesthetics of Skin Raleigh are my favorite! Our injector was SO pleasant, cooperative, but most importantly, knowledgeable. Dr plyer was very informative in our consultation. I had implant exchange and he explained the difference in each implant. After the surgery woke up with no problems no pain. My first with another Dr. I woke up in extreme pain. Never had to take my pain meds. Day after surgery I went to the gym just to walk on treadmill. The next week I was doing just legs. Surgery 10/2020. Today 1/2021 my breast looked great. They sent me a free trial of exomin. I choose to do my lines between my eyes above the nose, and I loved how it'd turning out. I can't say enough good things about this business. I had an elective procedure with Dr. Roughton. From the moment I walked in, I knew this would be a great experience. I was greeted warmly, and despite arriving early, I didn't have to wait. I was seen by a patient care coordinator named Amanda, who was really friendly, helpful and kind. I then met Dr. Roughton. She is an amazing board-certified surgeon with tons of common sense and experience. She is so laid-back, funny, and knowledgeable and professional. She didn't rush me whatsoever, make me feel judged, or discourage me from what I wanted. Her personality just radiates kindness and she makes you feel so comfortable, like you're old friends haha. She uses state of the art materials, gives you lots of options and info to make sure this is what you want, and answers all questions thoroughly. She explains risks, she has board certified anesthetists, and bonus! She does procedures at her onsite surgical center (no sick-people exposure at the hospital, or fees!) which also has top certifications. Risks were explained several times, and so were the plans for my procedure. The rest of her staff took amazing care of me from start to finish, and every time someone else helped me, they made sure all my questions were answered. I have results which exceeded my expectations. Dr. Roughton is so gifted! She uses a lot of techniques to prevent infection or postop complications and explained those to me at our first meeting. They use 3D imaging as well to help you get an idea of what you might look like afterward, and it's so helpful. They were available to call all hours, and dealt with all my many concerns patiently. After my procedure, Dr. Roughton as well as her staff called to check on me. I have never been cared for as well as they have. I highly recommend their office. I had a mommy makeover in February 2020, right before the pandemic happened. Both of my follow up appointments were over the phone which I understand had to happen. However once we were finally able to return to in person and I saw Dr Pyle, he completely blew me off when I addressed my concerns with my healing. My belly button looks awful and I ended up having to go to wound care after my surgery because of an infection. I have left over skin along my sides that definitely should have been taken during surgery! I payed for lipo of my back and it wasn't even touched. When I asked about my back he said it looked fine - then he checked his chart and realized I had insurance and completely changed his tune, he said: "ohhh yeah I see it now, let's do something about it." Yes because it was on my dollar and not his, it's obviously about the money for him. He doesn't care about the outcome of his patients or if they are satisfied with their results. He said I would receive a call from the scheduler about a new surgery to fix my belly button and lipo for my back. I NEVER received a call on the date I was supposed too. I tried calling and never could get in touch with the scheduler after multiple attempts and voicemails. I started feeling very uneasy about letting them cut into me again, if they couldn't even follow through with a simple call back. They truly only care about initial consultation and once your a patient they literally could careless about your recover or results. They do however have great marketing strategies. They use influencers (the influencers receive discounts for talking positively about their surgeries) which definitely makes it seem that they have done great work with lots of positive reviews. However talking to REAL patients that have used Dr Pyle the majority seemed unhappy with their results. I definitely recommend looking elsewhere. read more

My husband and I felt so comfortable as soon as we walked in the office. The office was so clean and modern. The front desk staff were amazing and super helpful. I was then taken to a room by Jessica who instantly made me feel comfortable. We took images and she was super friendly and informative. We were then taken to a room as we awaited Dr Pyle for his consultation. The consult was way more then I expected. Dr Pyle listened to my expectations and was considerate of all my "wants and needs". He was very informative and never pushy on anything. I felt super comfortable with what he was telling me. He answered all my questions and just listened to me explain what I wanted. It's very rare to have a doctor listen to you. After my consult, I cancelled all my other consults....No need! I found the perfect surgeon for me! The procedure day came and I was greeted with the same professional staff. The anesthesiologist eased all my nerves and had me super comfortable before the procedure. Dr Pyle met with me prior to surgery and helped ease my anxiety as well. After the surgery, during recovery, I was able to communicate with the staff as I needed. They were super quick to respond with all my questions and Dr Pyle even called me the night of surgery and left me his cell if I needed him. So thoughtful. I was checked on and all my questions were answered immediately during my recovery period. I couldn't ask for a better team. I am currently 22 weeks post op and I couldn't be happier with my results. Run, don't walk away from this office. I went in for a mommy makeover one year ago and was totally butchered. I was left with a leg with no feeling, a scar that has have deep vertical creases, dog ears and sits on the top of my leg instead of my hip. My stomach is lumpy and because of the high cost of the suggested gummy implants, I wound up with the recommendation of bigger implants with no lift, when I should have only gotten a lift. I had asked to remain close to the same size (D) with just more fullness and wound up a size J with uneven, painful breasts and nipples in different places. I look like a circus freak and I am embarrassed for even my husband to see me. I have to special order bras and cannot go without it, even to bed because my left implant moves and pains. What I thought would give me a boost of confidence, has literally destroyed me. The only responses I received were let's wait and see if it improves and we can do more surgery to repair everything. They must be crazy! My body is hideous both in and out of clothes and you want another chance to destroy me more? Right now I'm just grateful I was able to find a new position working from home so I don't have to go out often.
