Unfortunately, my experience changed completely after that. After my first call, I began communicating with Rachel. I had inquired specifically about a breast augmentation with implants and a lift. After the doctor reviewed my photos, Rachel called and explained that he was instead recommending a different procedure that would cost roughly $10,000 more than what I had originally asked about. I was very clear that I understood the recommendation but still wanted a quote for the procedure I had actually inquired about. Despite repeatedly explaining what I wanted, I could not get a straightforward quote for it. Instead, the conversation continued to revolve around the more expensive procedure they were recommending. The entire process ended up wasting about a month that I could have spent consulting with other surgeons. Being highly rated was one of the reasons I initially felt so confident reaching out, but my experience left me feeling like what I actually wanted was not being taken into consideration. What bothered me most was that liposuction was also brought up even though I had never inquired about it. When someone is already discussing cosmetic surgery and putting themselves in a vulnerable position by sending photos of their body, suggesting additional procedures they never expressed concern about can feel incredibly unnecessary and insecurity-inducing. I completely understand a surgeon making professional recommendations, and I would expect them to tell me if they believe another approach would produce a better result. But there is a difference between making a recommendation and refusing to meaningfully discuss or quote the procedure a patient is actually asking for. Unfortunately, I walked away from this experience feeling unheard, pressured toward a significantly more expensive procedure, and more insecure than I did when I started.

He said that he knows what works well for him and will not deviate, so if you're looking for a deep plane facelift on a vertical vector, or any other recent advancements, do not go here. I had a consultation with this surgeon because, on the Realself site, he did not charge a consultation fee. When I booked the appointment online, it required $100 to complete the booking. I figured when I go there and tell them it says 'free' on RealSelf, they would refund that money TO HONOR THEIR ADVERTISEMENT. When I had the appointment, my patient coordinator, Jenny told me that it would have been free if I'd called for the appointment. Online appointments default to charge $100, regardless of their promises. I assumed she would refund the $100 then, knowing I contacted them because of the free consultation, but they will not. Since then, they've added information on this site about needing to call to make the appointment, which was not there before (see attachment).
