My experience with CARE Plastic Surgery is that there appears to be a lack of communication. Example, Brianna Miller gave a coolsculpting consult, then later on Brian Coan contradicted this conversation and said that I was told things in the consult that were not discussed. He's truly an arrogant person to boot. There are many negative reviews beginning to pop up on here about his behavior. I'd advise using another practice. read more

Dr. Coan came highly recommended by a close friend of mine for a BA/BL. He did take a lot of time measuring and assessing what he was working with. I felt he listened to my goals at first, but when I had my head wrapped around expectations and needed to reassess goals, I felt that both him and his staff would not listen to me. When I asked Dr. Coan if he had ever had a dissatisfied patient, he responded with "no," and I should have walked out and never looked back. I was trying to confirm my goals with him the day of my surgery and he had ushered my husband out of the room before I could get him to advocate for me. He acted like he was listening to me but I don't think he was. I woke up from surgery and immediately knew the results were not what I wanted. He was supposed to call that evening to check on me post op and the next day said he had something come up. (Apparently the same thing happened to a close family member as well). Fast forward, every time I went in for my post op appointments, I would tell Dr. Coan that I was not happy with my results physically and that I felt really awkward swimming laps (placement was under the muscle). I felt that he was gaslighting me instead of listening to my concerns. Finally, at my last visit with him at 4 months PO, I told him I was not happy and if there was anything he could do. He responded with "this is the best I can do; nothing else can be done." At that point, I decided to take a picture and compare to my pre op picture and my results looked worse than I was pre op! I decided to get a second opinion and this PS validated all of my concerns and even pointed out that I had lateral displacement, had bottomed out and had severe rippling of the implant. The PS also addressed my concerns of the placement. As a result, I felt that Dr. Coan came across as pretentious without addressing any of my concerns. I also don't appreciate the lack of communication and being gaslit. You can book a consultation and see for yourself. Lipo was great, fat transfer was not. I initially went to Dr Coan for liposuction. He recommended fat transfer as well for health reasons (something about keeping the fat on your body rather than totally removing it being better for you). We talked about the possibility of transferring to breasts - he sajd he could get me up to a full B cup from a small A. This was an exciting possibility I had never considered before so I agreed. I also asked for fat transfer to remove a large dimple in my thigh. Day of surgery I mention the increase to a B cup and he says something like 'let's not think in terms of cup sizes' which I found strange since it was him who set the precedent. Post op I have full A cup at best and small visible scars for a small difference. The dimple on my thigh looks worse than before. I would recommend Dr Coan for lipo but not fat transfer. read more

I initially received my first Botox treatment with nurse April who is so sweet. It was quick and painless. April answered all my questions and put my worries at ease. I was happy with my Botox results. I also purchased latisse and very happy with the visible results. They also carry skin care products. One thing that sets them apart from other facilities is their support for small business owners. They often highlight women owned businesses and offer awesome promotions. During covid, every Thursday they had a FB live- I looked forward to their videos. Can't wait to stop in soon. read more

I did years of research and went to Dr. Coan because he said he could do what I wanted. I had a huge nose, bump, drooped, and it was crooked. Dr. Coan said he could fix it and even said I'd get a cute little crease where the lift would be. Now? It's been a year since my surgery, the bridge of my nose is fat, a new bumped formed, zero lift in fact, it looks lower now? The droop was untouched. When I had my last post op with him and pointed all of these problems out it was blamed on my healing....then when I pointed out the droop that was untouched he said "It would have looked unnatural" which isn't what he said when I originally asked for it to be gone pre-surgery. So wasn't at all what I asked for. After that, all he could say was he was sorry and suggested steroid injections at whatever is closest to me, which he then said are tough on the body, OR a revision surgery with a different surgeon. Never offered to fix it himself, didn't seem to feel at all bad for how I was left, never offered to help it in anyway. I was(and still am) in tears when he said "you should be happy with what you have"........ yes I should've been after paying thousands of dollars and going through a year of healing. Now I'm left scrambling trying to find another surgeon to fix this mess before my wedding. I spent more than $12,000 on my surgery not not including all the makeup that I now have to use to contour was i paid for to be fixed. If I could go back in time I'd find a different surgeon who will listen to what I want and give me what I paid for. read more

Full disclosure I didn't end up getting a procedure here. However not being new to plastic surgery I was throughly impressed by the consult I had done for a liposuction with fat transfer into buttocks aka BBL. The price point was a bit high, however for how many areas I would have needed liposuction done to achieve volume I needed it seems reasonable. Ultimately due to my career at this point I am unable to take enough time off I am comfortable to allow to heal up. He does seem upfront, gives realistic expectations and does look into your concerns and reasoning for the procedure. I am looking to still do the surgery and I hope he stays in NC because I will be traveling to Charlotte to get it done. Please don't be fooled by the BBL ads for cheap in Florida. These doctors sometimes aren't even trained in plastic surgery and don't even see you physically until 15 minutes before surgery! Keeps yourself as safe as possible with a doctor who is knowledgeable and doesn't cut corners with your health! read more

I can only write a review about the experience that I had with Dr. Coan for a consultation for a repeat breast augmentation. He was extremely arrogant and pretentious, and insisted that he knew the best for my body. As it turns out, he was pushing me to have larger implants than I had wanted, and he was not listening to my questions or my suggestions. As a result, I wound up seeing a different surgeon who listened to me and I now have a fantastic result with saline implants. read more

The staff here is very friendly but have given me the run around for the past 6 months or so. I've been in constant contact with this office on my own, have made several calls to my insurance company, and gone to several doctors at the recommendation of Care Plastic Surgery. I have repeatedly been told to call back when I completed "x, y, & z"-- all of which I did, only to be informed today that they are not equipped to perform the surgery for some vague reasons. I'm literally in pain and have been preparing for this based on the recommendations from this office and will now have to restart the long process of finding another board certified physician, etc. I'm frustrated and disappointed in how this has been handled and that I've come this far to be advised to go to another physician. I was told today, after being in contact for the past few months, that the staff has not been trained on how to make calls to the insurance company (any) so if that's the route you plan to take its probably best if you find another office or be prepared to do the leg work such as calling re: deductibles and Operating Room costs, etc. I did it so it's possible, albeit time consuming, but many ppl have told me that these tasks were handled by their surgical office. For this reason, I would not recommend Care Plastic Surgery. read more
