Called and scheduled our IPAD screen to be fixed he gave us a price, dropped it off and he said the next day it would be ready for pick up. When the next day came he says it won't be ready until the following day but he would give a discount for the inconvenience. When we got there to pick up he said he is not going to do a discount since he already gave us a "good" deal. This is the second time we used this guy but the inconsistent pricing and information is unfortunate and leads me to believe what else he could lie about not be consistent with so we will not be using him in the future or recommending him. Honesty goes a long way. So this guy calls me to remedy my post and when I wouldn't garuntee that I wouldn't change my review he got really rude and said write whatever I want and he doesn't want to do buisness with us again. He further stated that he will not warranty the work that he just did. He then texted me to say he is going to post all of my information with names and phone numbers on the internet. He also said he was going to post that we tried to con him for $10. He offered all the money back and I refused based on his shady phone conversation. Worst experience with a company ever. Great experience upgrading an older iMac to an SSD drive. Despite the machine running perfectly fine, the local Apple Store wouldn't touch it. Marvin is great! We took our son's iPhone 6S to him. It was cracked to pieces with lines going through the screen. The guy at Sprint had told me that the phone could not be fixed. I called Marvin and he told me to bring it in as it was free to assess the phone and he usually could tell immediately if it could be fixed. I've been living with a small crack in the corner of my iPhone 6 for a few weeks. Today I dropped it on the carpet (you know that fluffy matterial covering the hard ground in your home) and kapow... shattered screen. I did a Groupon search for screen repairs tyring to get a deal and found that most of places were more expensive than the $109 the internet says Apple charges you to send it in. A quick Yelp search and Marvin at Ballard turned up. I gave him a call and he fixed my phone at a better price, while chatting with me about how he got started in rescuing all of us clumsy phone droppers, and it is good as new less than an hour later. My computer would not connect to the internet. Took it to another computer repair service which diagnosed the problem as a firewall issue. After the completed "repair", the computer worked for 24 hours and the problem recurred. Marvin did a diagnostic on my 8 year old computer , and decided there were many problems with the computer, related to its age. He recommended rebuilding the computer. He replaced the hard drive, upgraded to Windows 10, added additional memory, and replaced the security software. Due to pandemic issues, he had to provide me with info regarding Windows 10 by telephone, not in person. He tolerated my computer "illiteracy" and patiently gave me the information I needed. He completed the rebuild in a very short time, was easy to work with, and charged me a very fair fee. The computer is like new, and is very important to have functional during this difficult time.
