We had an exceptional experience with Andy. We found him to be honest, very professional and he responded quickly in both instances . I have trusted him with my laptop more than once and he has officially earned my lifelong business. He communicates very good and very honest. He doesn't try to create problems to get more money. You can tell he has a passion and knowledge for his work instead of just trying to make a buck. I would definitely recommend him to anybody that has computer problems, and he is also very fast with his service. read more

With a complicated tech setup for my freelance editing business, including half of it dedicated to one client who is hypervigilant about cybersecurity, I felt the need for professional help with my coming move. I contacted several computer businesses and chose Andy as the obvious standout. He proved me right from start to finish. For weeks leading up to the move, he kindly tolerated my OCD concerns and planning. On the appointed day, he arrived early in the morning to dismantle my old setup and then, in the afternoon, he recreated it at the new house in just a few minutes, even streamlining it and eliminating unnecessary cables and cords I'd acquired over time. Of course AT&T tried their best to make the transition nearly impossible, but Andy professionally transcended that nightmare and even made an extra trip to the new house to do so. read more

Owner Tech-Guru Andy deserves nothing less than a glowing review. Since 2021, he has kept my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015!) cutting edge! When battery was swollen (that was a new one for me), he removed and replaced. When speakers went wacko, he installed new ones. Installed 2TB Apple hard drive, helped me with Microsoft 365 Office installation (apps were wacky). There was more, but you get the idea. His dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident always. Andy's professionalism and expertise made for a seamless and stress-free experience. I can't thank him enough for the exceptional service he provided and I would highly recommend his service! read more

I am very grateful to Andy, at Broad Ripple Computer Repair, for the excellent service that he provided to me this week, replacing the nearly full 128GB operating system SSD in my Windows 11 desktop computer with a 512GB counterpart. I brought the computer to him mid-afternoon Monday, and he notified me first thing Tuesday morning that it was ready for me to retrieve it from him. He cloned the contents of the drive, so I was able to use the system immediately. I was delighted by the work done, the amount charged for it, and Andy's good communication with me. I expect that I will ask Andy's assistance in relation to future computer assistance, and I recommend him to others enthusiastically. read more

Did a scrub on my right year old desktop that was full of viruses, malware. It ran so much better. Hard to find but he did good job.

Easily the best experience I have ever had in the technology area. The service was quick and directly on point. The problems with my lap top were heard and quickly fixed by the owner of this business. Costs were explained up front and were VERY reasonable. read more

I highly recommend Andy with Broad Ripple Computer Repair. My desktop computer would not start up. I took the unit to Andy, and he evaluated it, discovering the motherboard had failed. He also suggested installing a SSD hard drive. I okayed both items. It took a couple of days for the parts to arrive (as it does with everything post pandemic) but Andy quickly repaired the unit and notified me it was ready. The charge was minimal, and the unit is better than new. Great service and the SSD is the fastest I have ever seen. read more

Andy, the one-man owner and tech of Broad Ripple Computer Repair, is all that past reviewers have touted. I took my PC to him due to multiple issues related to constant shut-downs, and after initial fixes were only partly successful, he was willing to spend several days systematically trouble-shooting until he finally sussed out the problem. His rates were reasonable and his demeanor always professional. I would recommend his services without reservation. read more

Fantastic! Andy is professional, knowledgeable, he is the best. Answers all your questions. He retrieved some information that I had deleted and thought was gone forever. I highly recommend him! read more

Have used Broad Ripple Computer repair for years. Andy does run his business via the house, but no worries. He is professional, attentive, affordable and fast. He goes the extra mile every time. Great service in my book! A+ read more

He's great. Yes, he conducts his business from his home, but as soon as you step inside you can tell he takes this very seriously. I know a few other folks on here said he was weird or not professional, but I think they must have some really old school definitions of those words. He stands behind all his work with a repair warranty so if he "fixes it" and it still doesn't work then he will repair it again at no cost to you. He can sometimes be a little slow to respond to emails regarding a current or potential job, but I imagine that's due to how super busy he is all the time. He generally follows up with profuse apologies if you send a follow up email. I had him fix a charging issue with my laptop and it was $120 without any new equipment. A few weeks later the charging port failed and I took it back to him. He wanted to fix everything at no charge since he felt responsible for not catching the hardware failure in advance, but I insisted on paying for the materials but took him up on the warranty for the labor. Andy is a super nice guy running a great business with good customer service. Highly recommend this trustworthy fella. I've attached a picture of the house so you can be sure you're walking into the right place. I called today just looking for a Sata cable. I didn't want to drive over to BB or pay their prices. Also didn't want to wait for Amazon delivery. He told me had a bunch of the cables I was looking for and to come on by. From call to cable was about 15 min. read more

This guy will fix your stuff quickly and for cheap! It's a bit weird going into someone's house to get some business done, but Andy was pretty relaxed. The only thing I would improve is the customer service aspect. I talked to Andy when he was in his jammies. I'm not a prude, but I want my computer technician to look the part. The pajama pants weren't working for me. My computer was having issues booting Windows 10 after an SSD install. It only took him about 6 hours total to diagnose and fix my hard drive errors. Andy laid out exactly what was going on, and I felt a little bit more educated after talking with him. I would absolutely use this guy over any Geeksquad or any run of the mill commercial technician. read more

Andrew was great and very professional! I was able to drop my MacBook off within the same day of contacting him. He gave us updates through the week of when the keyboard replacement was expected to come in. Andrew replaced the keyboard the same day he received it. It only took 5 days to get my MacBook back. It's good as new and will definitely be going to him with any future problems. He was the most affordable and fastest business in Indianapolis area. read more

Andy is my IT guy! Friendly, professional, and fast service. Reasonable prices. Not fancy but really knows his stuff.

Absolutely great service quality! Highly recommend! I had a bad screen and after "quote-ing" around, Andy has the lowest price by a lot...It ends up saving me maybe 40%. Very happy with the results! read more

Andy is AMAZING! My computer's story: My laptop died in the middle of a large assignment that was due the in 2 days. I first brought it to someone else because they were available that day. This other guy had my computer and charged me $45 for "diagnostic testing" in which he did nothing that I hadn't already tried based on a quick good search (holding power button down, removing battery, etc..) He told me it was dead and nothing he could do. I did have him clone my harddrive (which was still good) and he nickle and dimed me for that too. Now I'm out $$ and my computer still doesn't work. Andy got back to me and said even tho someone else failed to fix my laptop, he would look at it for a free diagnosis. He took it apart and directly tested the motherboard vs power input to determine my motherboard was shot. Overall, he offers a free diagnosis unlike competitors and overall more knowledge. I will never take any of my computers to anyone else. read more

This guy is the real deal when it comes to computer repair. I needed a simple cable for my computer i called and asked if he happened to have any and he replied that he would take a look and see and within 15 minutes I received a photo of the exact cable I needed. Fast and direct! Very friendly when I arrived and he didn't charge me up the wazoo like almost every other electronics shop would have. good local business!!!! read more

I had a problem with my HP and called. I was able to drop it off that day and it was fixed the following morning for a fair price.

My OMG I screwed up my laptop moment is over thanks to Broad Ripple Computer Repair. Will I use this computer business again, absolutely?

My #1 "go to guy" from now on. It's like having an old friend hook you up. Andy treats you as good as family (prices included) and treats your machine even better. I got a new SSD for less than $100 and all the files retrieved from my dead hard drive! Don't be scared away by the home-business-like setup. Brainiacs like him don't need to invest in fluff. read more

When I first discovered Andrew, about 7 years ago, I was in the midst of a new cookie business. I had just been awarded some contracts to bake cookies for Super Bowl 46 in Indianapolis. I was excited to have a contract for NFL Emerging Small Businesses. Back then, Andrew was very easy to talk to, professional, efficient and fixed whatever issue that I had at that time. Because he was friendly, efficient and reasonable in his pricing, whenever I had issues in the future, I called on him. BUT there's been a change in my Andrew. He's rushed, seems jaded and his prices.... well maybe they increased due to inflation, I dunno! But ouch! $90 to fix the audio and touchscreen drivers. I'm no expert so that's why I went to him. Maybe that's the going rate. I balked and a little bit of the nice Andrew I remembered from the past appeared. I was able to negotiate what I thought was a more reasonable fee. BUT two days later my computer is again having the same issues he said he fixed. Wow! His demeanor, his pricing, and his efficiency have changed since I last visited him two years ago. I'm not sure I can recommend him. I'm not sure I even want to go back to get him to fix what I paid $75 for him to fix. Feeling vulnerable with a professional that I had trusted in the past. No sound Andrew! Wassup with that? read more

I had an old laptop, and called Andy who said to bring it in and he would take a look to see if I could upgrade to Windows 10. It couldn't be done so he ended up getting an 'experienced' laptop, installed Windows, made it look like Windows 7 for my non-technical mind, and it has been amazing. Turnaround was amazing and he brought it under budget. Outstanding patience and professional approach to someone like me, and I give him 5 stars for the whole experience. Susan read more

Excellent service. Dropped off 2 pm and got a phone call and a fix at 3:30. Highly recommend Andy. Best $80 I ever spent.

Broad Ripple Computer beats their competitors hands-down. Don't be fooled by the modest exterior, and it's worth the extra trek around the block off College Avenue. Outstanding service (I was in a state of panic) fair pricing, and knowledgeable owner. Go no further. read more

I dropped my laptop one week before my doctoral dissertation defense and frantically took it into Andy to see if he could fix it. I got my computer back completely repaired in time for my defense. I definitely recommend Broad Ripple Computer Repair! read more
