We waited 45 minutes for 2 boxes of baked goods and it was TOTALLY worth the wait. The morning bun and their version of an apple pop tart were ridiculous. I also had a ham and Gruyère croissant and a kouign-amann which were perfect. I really wanted to try a breakfast sandwich but I'm not a huge fan of baked or steamed eggs. I'm definitely coming back for the pastries. My coffee was just alright but the pastries made up for that. read more

I simply can't believe the rating for this place and wish I would have given the negative reviews more credence. We ordered four pastries: the morning bun and monkey bread, as they were recommended as to sellers, the pumpkin cruffin, and the filled lemon doughnut. Every single one had the same issue - they exterior was so over baked and tough it was inedible, and the interior was raw. The icing on the monkey bread was granular. The morning bun didn't deliver the promised flavors. The pumpkin cruffin filling had a slight taste of coffee but no other flavoring. The lemon filled pastry had a scant amount of slightly yellow whipped cream with no lemon flavor. After partially eating the first two, we cut the second two in half purely to taste the filling, but they were incredibly lacking. Got a stomach ache from the raw dough and threw the last two away, along with the inedible bits (which was quite a bit) of the first two, and our $25 investment. Maybe this place is popular because of the location, but other than that, I'd say save yourself the money and your mouth some disappointment and go to a better pastry shop. read more

I got in line at approximately 7:42am. I got to the front of the line around 8:55am. When there were about 5 people in front of me, they came out to let everyone in line know that the only items left were the croissants and pain au chocolat (chocolate croissants). I was bummed because the item I was looking forward to most was the morning buns. After we ordered there were only one pain au chocolat remaining and maybe 12 croissants left so we barely made it! The pain au chocolat is the best croissant I have ever had! Although I have never been to France, biting into this pastry will immediately transport you to Paris. It's ridiculously good. read more

Bakery Four - Crossants and Pain au chocolat. Best chocolate crossant I have ever had! - Bakeries Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Simply the best. The herb boule is unbelievably good and can serve a large group. The pop fours and cruffins are exceptional with rotating flavors. The sausage roll is my all time favorite. The line is worth it and always moves quickly. read more

Best bakery I've been to in Denver. I ordered a few different things and all were great.

Delicious, delicious, delicious. One hour 20 minutes in line, but those 4 pastries did not survive the day. Reasonably priced and not found anywhere else. read more

Scones are closer to muffins than proper scones. Sourdough was relatively bland. Danishes were bready. Chai was watery and bland. Decor was very Ikea. It was fairly pricey too boot. read more

Solid. We're lucky to have this place in our neighborhood. Highly recommend! Some of the best baked goods around by far.

In a city that is notoriously known for high altitudes and difficulties with rising dough, Bakery Four gives you the taste you long for. Whether it's savory or sweet, the line is absolutely worth it for the best baked goods in Denver. Yes, I said it. My best advise for my Denverites....RUN, don't walk ;) and secure your place in line Thur-Sun. read more

Obviously the food/drinks are great, but it KILLS me every time I go in to see their half dead plants that were never repotted still sitting in their plastic dishes after what I think has been a year since they bought them. It's just a shame because they clearly spent a lot of money on huge, nice plants and cacti, but never properly set them up. Guys, give me $100 and I'll go to Home Depot, get some proper pots and it'll level up the vibes immediately!! read more

This place is wonderful. The sandwiches are delicious and the pastries are spectacular. Probably one of the best bakery in Denver (maybe even Colorado). Go there for the food but not the coffee. The coffee is whatever read more

Best pastries I have ever had. Atmosphere is chic and the quality of the pastries were top notch.

Five stars for the laminated doughs without question. The cookie and brownie were pretty good. Nice spot, instead of waiting in line, come an hour later and walk right in, worked on a Thursday anyway. read more

Very good bread and pastry shop. One of the best chocolate croissants around. Many layers and they actually put more chocolate in their croissant than most places. Great texture on the morning bun. Even though I'm not a big citrus fan the texture is amazing, and the citrus flavor is subtle. Chocolate chip cookie is good, but I have had better. Vanilla Danish was a little overbaked but enjoyed the vanilla custard filling. Did not get a regular croissant because they're a little too crispy (slightly blackened) for my liking. Would wait about 3o minutes for this shop but not much longer. read more

Bagel was more of a roll. Enjoyed everything seasoning, crispy on exterior, interior was quite doughy for my taste.

Always busy but worth the wait! The pastries are delicious. The country loaf is so crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. Fantastic!! read more

Did you see the line wrapped around the building from Bakery Four? Did you ask yourself if you should join the line? The answer is: YES! GET IN THAT LINE! Oh my gosh, the pastries and bread from Bakery Four are absolutely INCREDIBLE! Everything is so fresh and so carefully made - all made with pure love and delicious stone milled grains. You won't find anything better! I promise you, it's worth the wait! read more

I am kinda mad this place is so good. It's so good that it's worth lining up before God wakes up so that you can secure some of their treats. At my last trip I purchased: *cardamom bun - did not know such a thing existed and my life is richer for it * ham and cheese croissant (pain au jambon and gruyère) - also life-affirming * pain au chocolate - if I had one less than positive thing to say, it would be that this was not the best pain au chocolate I have had in my entire life. It is still delicious, though I wish it weren't so good so that I wouldn't be tempted to freeze my bum off in line. Ah well, see you next week! read more

Everything I had been told to expect and more. Line moves quickly once they open. Can't wait for them to open their new location on Tennyson in the fall!! read more

Really yummy chocolate croissants! A little too flaky/crunchy for my liking but the rich chocolate inside makes up for it. The service was very quick and they were helpful regardless of us going in 5 minutes before closing. read more

Unless you get there in first hour, do not bother going. I've been in line three times between 9-10 and they've sold out just before I was up to the front. I've had terrible luck. I did manage to get their early one day and their pastries and bread are legit. Quality stuff. Unless you want to wait in line for a while, I'd wait until they settle down. So good, not sure they slow down anytime soon. read more

I would've taken a picture of my chocolate croissant, but it disappeared far too quickly. This is the best bakery I've ever been to. The line is typically long, but it's soooo worth it. read more

Delicious, beautiful deeply golden croissants. Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, so perfect. Good cardamom buns. Cute space. I'll definitely be back! read more

Good bakery using quality ingredients. If waiting in long lines for baked goods is part of your DNA, you'll love it. If you have better things to do with 40 minutes of your morning, not so much. Part of running a business is timely service. I guess waiting for sourdough to proof can skew your relationship with time. Hope they figure out a way to improve service. In the mean time, I'll bake at home. read more

These pastries are magical. Literally the BEST I have ever had. I wake up earlier on the weekend than I do during the workweek to get in line to ensure I can have the best pick of the day. I love how they put the menu on Instagram the day before so I know when I can't miss something new! So obsessed and will be a loyal customer for as long as I live in Denver. read more

WOW. Finally got the chance to go here before they sold out and I completely understand why they sell out so quickly now. Best croissants I've ever had. My boyfriend doesn't like pastries or really anything sweet, and he was RAVING about the everything croissant. I will now be in line every single weekend. read more

I finally decided to get up early on a Saturday and wait in line for this place and it was SO worth it. Don't sleep on the sausage rolls, they have a croissant "roll" and the meat is incredible. Everything i tried was incredible but i will be getting the sausage roll every single time i go. Other favorites of mine include the pan au jalapeno they had the day i went, the morning bun, and classic croissant. Definitely follow them on Instagram as their menu changes regularly and they give updates if they have items left later in the morning. Excited to try their bagels next! 10/10 recommend read more

I just had an interesting experience while attempting to purchase something at Bakery Four, 3712 W 32ND AVE DENVER, CO 80211. I was walking down 32nd Avenue when I observed a lady emerge from the business with a signboard which she placed in front of the store. Aha, I reasoned, the bakery is open! I rolled up to the door, which was unlocked, so I entered. The lady said hi and seemed tame enough, so I approached the counter where I encountered whom I presume was the owner who ran me out. I guess I was a few minutes early, but when I pointed out that the door was open, he instructed me to "just leave," which I did. So I scanned the front of the building on my way out and lo, and behold, there were no posted hours. I've heard their baked goods are excellent, but now I'll never know. Arrogant customer service that is this bad is inexcusable. read more

This place lives up to the hype. The best pastries since France. Melt in your mouth good. What a fantastic addition to Tennyson Street. Yum. We will be back. read more

Without a doubt the best pastries I've ever had! There's a reason you'll see a huge line forming long before 8am on weekends- do your self a favor and get there early and be prepared to wait, it will be so worth it! This bakery is awesome- the best bakery rolls and croissants I have ever had!!! So far I have had the cardamom buns, the morning buns and the everything croissant. They all exceeded my expectations. I brought some to my grandaughter and 4 grandkids and they all said they too said they were the best they ever had!! They are only open on Saturday and Sunday at 8AM- and usually sell out within an hour or two. There is usually a wait- but well worth it!! I just hope they offer more hours in the future. You will not be disappointed!!! read more

Promised a sign requiring masks. Still doesn't have one. Let's just be respectful l. Please

So accommodating, even during COVID. And everything was amazing: bread, cardamom buns, croissants. YUM. I'll be back, even with the line!

Crispy on the outside soft on the inside. So flippin' good. Chocolate croissant and crufin are my favorite.

This place is unreal. Best croissant I've had in denver. The couple who run it are super nice! Yes, there is a line down the block before it opens. Yes, it is worth it to wait 30 minutes before they open read more
