This Baker's location is friendly, and the store has most items although nothing special or nuanced about this location compared to others around town. I think that the best part of this store is the glass recycling in the parking lot, and the proximity to TJmaxx in the adjacent space. The worst part about this location is also the parking lot, which is oddly shaped/layout and has poor flow with limited parking. read more

Not a very clean or well.lit store. They also are price gauging some of their items. A tub of butter is $8 where at other stores it is only $5. The staff looks very unhappy there. Behind the store are bags of trash and you can tell there are rodents in the store just by the upkeep. They really need to update this store. read more

My go-to grocery store, even though I live closer to Trader Joe's and Hy-Vee. The sales at Bakers are unmatched, especially paired with the coupons they send in the mail and the digital coupons you can clip via the app. I once had a $100 grocery bill drop to $60 after all the coupons were applied. Make sure to keep an eye out on promotions for gift cards that give 4x the fuel points, which comes in handy with gas prices so high right now. Bakers gas is about 50 cents higher than Costco at the time of this writing, but stacking the gas points can make it more economic every now and then. This location seems to be remodeling their health food section and I am really hoping they do not get rid of it. Otherwise, you should find nearly everything here that you need for your cooking, even with Asian, Mexican, and Indian style dishes. read more

Not my favorite Bakers by a long shot. The parking lot is congested. The staff seldom seems to care. The shoppers are pushy and rude. And it just overall is not a pleasant experience. That having been said, I am a fan of Bakers. While the prices can be high, their sales are phenomenal. Plan on it and stock up. It makes Bakers one of the more affordable places in town. Their Boars Head deli items are far superior to anything at Hyvee, and the selection of Boars Head is better than what Fresh Thyme has. I'm especially fond of the no-salt-added sliced turkey breast and the havarti with dill. So why do I occasionally come here to this location than the better one at 156th and Dodge? Because I live halfway between the two, and every now and then, this one is closer to where I am when I need to shop. No other reason. Fun fact: I'm old enough that I remember when this was a Safeway, and there was a cornfield (and thus the edge of Omaha) on the west side of the building. read more

Not sure how I should go about rating a particular Grocery Store location considering they are all "basically the same" but I will try my best. First off the parking lot truly does suck for a grocery store, small and sometimes hard to navigate, but its a parking lot,, you park your car and walk in ,, it is what it is. The store itself is clean and easy to find your way around. Cashiers are almost always friendly and never had issues with that. I would say the self check out in most places is never "fun" including this one. With all Bakers and most Grocery stores, you can use a card to get a discount. Bakers you can also use an App to download store coupons. I hate this,, not everyone has a phone, not everyone can download an app so why punish those who cant by not giving them the "sale" price. Its not fun standing there, going on the app, picking what you want to add just to get a deal, most of the time there is a limit on the items you add. I find that the most irritating about Bakers itself not this particular location. Since this is the only Bakers near me I go there, but if any other ones were close I probably wouldn't. read more

This Baker's supermarket is one of my least-favorite grocery stores in Omaha. Sometimes I shop here because of the location, but I usually end up wishing I had driven a few miles to another store. Parking has always been tight at this location, but in September 2014 they added a gas station which took away about a third of the lot. Now there is frequently zero parking in front of the store, even during off-hours. Frustrated shoppers circle the lot, following pedestrians in the hope that a spot will open up. I've had some luck parking in the next lot to the west, though there's some extra walking involved to return my cart to a reasonable location. Once inside, the store is nicely laid out and has a reasonable selection. Staff have been helpful to me (this is Nebraska, after all!), but less so than some other grocery stores. read more

I have always been very happy with the service here. The set up is similar to the one on Saddle Creek but not completely - so initially that was a little frustrating. However, I like how fast things go and how polite the staff were. The other night - I think the sales clerk was almost more excited about the fact that I purchased $22+ worth of groceries but because of sales and coupons - I only paid $4+. She kept going on about it and while initially she seemed kind of 'hum-ho' about her job, she was full of smiles when we were done. read more

After the much anticipated remodel, its safe to come in again. Fresh made sushi, awesome cheese bar, I just love all of it (not that I need to eat all of it). Generally, all of the high school kids that work here are awesome and friendly, its the older cashiers that you have to look out for. Same goes with the ladies that work the customer service desk: they tend to be bitchy and stuffs. My only real, serious complaint would be the attitudes of the deli counter workers, ESPECIALLY the older ladies. Super rude and short with customers. If I didn't want the super yum lunch meat so bad, I would steer clear of them. For real, they are scary and mean. read more

I haven't done any major grocery shopping here but when I'm in the area, I may pop in for a few things. One thing that really stands out about this store is the nice flooring, good lighting and really wide aisles. I would shop here more if I lived closer. I really like the self-check area even if there are staffed check stands available. The parking lot is decent and they now have a gas station. I'll never shop at baker's grocery stores ever again, order groceries online to be delivered and my groceries were never delivered, called baker's and the manager put me on hold for over 20 minutes . Hung up the phone and called right back and cancel my order and they charge me for the groceries anyway, I never received, The worst of a kind in customer service experience , I had to call my bank to receive my money back and one star is too much for this kind of poor customer service. read more

I haven't been in the grocery store, but I get gas here at least once a week. Dave is an amazing employee! He's always very helpful and friendly. I bought some oil tonight and he was out of paper funnels so he came out to my car and poured the oil in for me! He also had helpful tips and suggestions of different types of oil to try that will last longer and give me better gas mileage. I like that this store is so centrally located and around everything, i also enjoy that the staff and at times the customers are quite friendly and helpful. I do not like that the prices are a little high and some items are a little difficult to locate but the price is nothing a baker's card can't fix and the staff is usually on it when you need help locating something. One big thing i really enjoy is that they have added a gas station to this location which makes it so much easier and convenient to use my fuel saver points. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I do not recommend ordering food online from this store. Baker's lies about the food being fresh every hour. If you care about your health, money, and the quality of your food, do not order from Baker's on 120th and center. One of the orders I placed online in 2021 had packaged microwavable brown rice which was expired, and I didn't realize it until after I ate it because I got sick. But I didn't report the incident and thought might be a fluke. My most recent order placed in 2022, had items that were molded and open. I called the online order manager Latasha and I felt they were not really concerned with the fact that my order was bad and was just in a hurry to get me off the phone. Latasha told me that the quality standards is reduced because of understaffing. It's sad, but not my problem. if I'm paying a delivery fee and for food I expect it to be fresh. Another person I spoke to named Rebecca told me that Baker's corporate takes their sweet time with refunds. When I finally did get refunded for the damaged items, it was not even the full amount. So I ended up calling Kroger, also not helpful, and their customer service was not good. The associate named Joslyn basically blamed me for not contacting them first instead of the Baker's store because, and I quote, "Store promises from Baker's are not guaranteed". So basically it was a blame game, a run around, not taking responsibility, no empathy. Re training associates on food safety is needed before someone gets really sick and sues them. read more

I'm updating my review because Bakers has updated their store and service. Although I still have squashed groceries unless I bag them myself, which I don't mind doing, this store is one I shop at frequently now even though I pass 2 Walmarts and a target to get there. The employees have improved their attitudes and the store is just a whole lot better now. They have definitely made changes all around and I enjoy shopping here now. Baker's doesnt care much for customers. I have shopped exclusively at Bakers for 45 years. Abe Baker is rolling in his grave to see what happened to this chain. In 1975 Abe gave my mom little bottles of perfume in his store at 132nd and Center as she was shopping for a family of 6. Abe was an Omaha original. I went to the ramshackle store at 120th and West Center today. As usual, the lines for the checkout are 5 or 6 carts deep, I went thru the self checkout which I hate. I spent 30 minutes there as an automated voice told me that "Help is on the way". The voice gets sounding like a crying baby as Im standing there for a half hour. After 32 minutes, I called the Store manager and was given the front end manager- he admitted that he was 16 years old. To his credit, he did get the store manager, who was a skinny older lady- maybe 35 who did nothing but apologize. I asked her if she could please take payment for the groceries I could have walked out with and she could not.I left he groceries and went to Hy Vee on 90th and Center. Bakers is a shit hole. The groceries are overpriced and service doesn't exist there anymore. I suggest Hy Vee for groceries, I only wish there was one nearer to where I lived. If you want, shoplifting there it's clearly easy- they have no clue what is going on in the front of the store. Get your shit, go thru the "self checkout" and just leave. Nobody is there- they don't care and those of you paying for your groceries will never know- you pay for that too. They just dont like complaints and have no time to deal with you. I credited Baker's for hiring the mentally and physically disabled, but get your shit together for fuck sake! I want to pay for my purchase- why does it take an act of Congress? I do most of my grocery shopping here. The employees are friendly and helpful. The customer service people are great. Their frequent sale prices on frozen entrees and dinners is probably the best in Omaha. Their produce is good, the checkers are fast and they will always open another register if the lines get too long. I use the pharmacy as well. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. read more

I had the worst experience with the grocery pickup! My wife ordered and pick up groceries from this location. After picking up the groceries she got home and realized that she was missing some items. That already knocked a couple stars off! Then she calls to tell them they messed up and they told her that she has to come and get it because that's more convenient for them!!! Like it's not a inconvenience for us that they forgot our stuff!!!! Then my wife being the nice person she is told them I would pick them up when I got off work and they told her that they are there until 9pm. I get there at 8:10 and called the number outside on the sign and no one answered so I called 3 more times and still no answer. Finally I called the store itself and told the guy that I was outside waiting for our stuff. 40 minutes later and after multiple calls some comes out and tell me to wait a minute!!! I'm like sure I've only waited 40 so why not a few more! Finally I got my one bag of food that was sitting in the cooler already ready to go. This place is a joke. read more
