I live near HyVee and I shop here at least twice a week if not more. The selection and services are unbelievable. As I think all HyVees are more expensive than other grocery stores, this one is too. But the huge selection makes the higher price worth it for some items. I do not do my weekly shopping here due to the price but stop frequently for certain items that my family enjoys. read more

Very upscale grocery store. It's massive and has several restaurants plus a full bar with multiple TVs. Huge liquor store too. Staff was helpful and went in the back to find special milk for my toddlers. read more

Just an amazing Health food section at the store! Literally, aisles and aisles with a variety that probably can't be beat in the metro area. The produce section is huge and pricing much better than whole paycheck - LOL. I was asked a number of times if I needed anything by the great staff at the store. Complaint: This is my third complaint about this store. We may have the largest store . . . . But we have the dumbest store by far! 1. I was told by a manager in store, that my favorite scent of laundry detergent could and would be ordered for the store so I wouldn't need to shop online or with a janky store in Cedar Rapids. He said, "If the largest HyVee can't put it on the shelves, we have a problem." I've waited over a year now for this product to no avail. HyVee . . . you HAVE a PROBLEM. I shop for laundry needs online now. 2. I asked the pharmacy to transfer my prescriptions from this pharmacy to the HYVee pharmacy store in Cedar Rapids on Blairs Ferry Road while visiting CR for a length of time last summer. They didn't know how to do it, and the pharmacy in CR had to talk the people in Gretna through the process STEP BY STEP. I now use Walgreens as my pharmacy. Bummer. This is a problem if you're not providing the proper training for your workforce. That's a HyVee problem. 3. This is the latest!! Monday, May 5, 2025, I spoke with Bakery personnel at the Gretna HyVee, requesting 3 dozen donuts for my Rockin' Rohwer Ringers last rehearsal. I can't believe the response I got! "I'm sorry, but we cannot fill any donut requests this week as we look for another Bakery to make our donuts." WHAT!!???!! The world's largest HYVee doesn't make its own donuts???? The bakery space is beautiful and well equipped!!! And I'm told they don't make their own donuts and are looking for some other bakery to make their donuts????!!! Excuse me??? Did I hear correctly???? No way!! How ridiculous!!! This "takes the cake!" I'm from Iowa. I've always loved HyVee. I am, no, strike that . . . .I was so excited to have HyVee open in my neighborhood, just 3 houses away from my house. I look at the back of the HyVee from my deck. I was SO excited . . . I told friends and neighbors how wonderful to have HyVee right here! I boasted that we have the biggest in the world HyVee in my backyard. . . . and now I can only speak ill of this HyVee. What is happening? Hy Vee used to have the best customer service. I expected the best product choices. And I loved the bakery! And now I shop elsewhere. So sad. So very sad. I'm afraid more loyal patrons may shop elsewhere. You are losing customers. . . loyal customers. I don't see helpful smiles in every aisle anymore. I see people putting in some time for a quick buck. I'm still shopping an Iowa store . . . Fareway will get my business . . . and Amazon, and Whole Foods, and (I hate so say it) Walmart. I am very disappointed in HyVee. Large margarita pizza for $13. Had to go back because they forgot the basil. Asked for garlic butter as well, but based on the complete lack of flavor, it's safe to assume that was also forgotten. With more than 25% of the entire pizza completely devoid of any toppings whatsoever, this one is a hard pass for any future orders. Zero quality control. For the price, I could say you get what you pay for, but come on. read more

When I heard this particular location is huge that is no lie. My family and I stopped after church to grab some food at their food court. My oldest son and I went with the Chinese food meals that tasted great. My youngest son and husband went with the fried chicken meals that also tasted great. We walked around briefly together to grab a few items, but we didn't full on grocery shop so it's hard to review on that. We didn't interact with employees, so can't really view that as well. Firsthand just walking through briefly and grabbing food this location is amazing, and I can't imagine not finding everything that you need there. I'm sure someday will shop and take longer to walk-through so I can provide a better review. read more

I finally had to take a little road trip to check out this monstrous location. This is the biggest darn grocery store I've been too. More like a super store. They do have a lot of options and truly a one stop shop. Lots of eat in and prepared food options and all your grocery needs. The place is very clean as expected being so new. Lots of friendly faces and smiles working there. It will be fun to see how this store progresses with all its offerings. It really is just another Hy Vee overall but one with everything. read more

We ordered breakfast at 10:55am on Sunday, there were lots of employees working but it took 30 minutes for our food to get to our table. The side of pancakes were tough. I'm not sure if they were made in advance and kept warm or not. The store in general has everything you need and more. read more

This the a brand new Hyvee store in Gretna. The configuration is different, and the aisles are angled in some sections, giving the larger appearance. The deli and other hot food products are set up like a food court, including tables and chairs which is very appealing. I really enjoyed the bakery section where a staff member helps you select your product and packages it up for you, especially the donut area. It keeps everything clean and hygienic. There are double amount of check out stations, including the self checkout sections which makes the waiting time minimal. I am impressed with the options, offerings, and the appearance of this grocery store. read more

my wife and I were traveling to Omaha and had never been to a Hy-Vee stopped in and were completely blown away. This is incredible and we almost moved to the city just to experience the eclectic choices of food, incredible service, and with a bar, restaurants and deli to eat in the ambience incredible. read more

Purchased bread 11/30/23 (HyVee 10855 S 191st) for family get-together that night. Pulled the cover off to find many mold spots over the entire baguette. It had a "sell by" date of 12/1. You may have an impressive exterior and interior, HyVee, but nobody cares if the the food is bad and they're being ripped off. Improve your quality control. read more

Ordered from Hyvee Chinese 3 times. First time (ordered chicken fried rice)they added way too much soy sauce that the rice was almost black and forgot the peas, carrots, and eggs. But ate it and didn't think too much about it that time. Got it again about 2 weeks later and specifically asked for peas and carrots to be added in, they did not. Called and complained and said we could come back and get it remade for free. Went back and had it remade and there were 3 carrots, 0 peas, but instead we got HANDFULLS of broccoli and mushrooms?! Needless to say, not even calling and complaining again, from now on we are going to the Hyvee off 180th. read more

i thought I'd try to shop at this new HyVee location and thought the store was nice however, there was only one checkout open. That really didn't bother me however, even tho I had $200 worth of food and it would have taken me forever to self check! What really bothered me was how rude they both were while we were checking out! I had questions about my coupons I had and he didn't even answer me, look at me, nothing! I said can you speak? He just said what? It was the most awkward thing I've ever experienced. I tried to talk to the bagger and she wouldn't talk to me either!! I would rather go to Family Fare any day then be treated as if I wasn't even there!! I didn't know where anything was also and when I asked an employee she said the store was new and she didn't know either and kept doing what she was doing!
