It did actually get to the CEO Donnie King and I was shocked that Donny replied to me right away. I had only CCed the CEO because my personal opinion I think a CEO would want to know when someone has an issue with their food. And when I replied to the CEO and said I was so shocked that they had replied to me the CEO thanked me in another reply and wished me a good evening. That speaks to me extraordinarily highly of an American company in this day and age. And I just wanted to give the CEO personally five stars as well as the company for looking out the way it appears that they currently are.

They also take your cart of groceries to your car for you. I don't like it, I can take my own groceries to my car, but they say they have to because it is their job; fine. But I bet the older crowd love it. They have excellent produce and their prices on it are hard to beat. The same with their meat department. I seem to go there about once a month to grab that cheap item that I saw in the ads.

But I'm not going to downgrade a restaurant because they are sold out of a signature food item. It takes time to make smoked meats and you can't just pull it out of a freezer like they would do at some places. They did have the smoked chicken breast. So we got that along with the fried catfish. It was all good so I can't complain more than a little. Their sides are really good, I love the spicy pickle mix. I also got the elote and it was delicious. Next time I come here, if they are out of the chicken, I will probably just order a bunch of side dishes. They have so many that's it's hard to decide on just 2. Service was great. Ambiance is nice. There is a big sports screen and they were showing the Little League College World Series. Last time I went they were showing something unusual too but I can't remember what it was. Just that it was more interesting than the usual. Which fits, because their food is much more delicious and interesting than you can get at "the usual" barbecue places.

Just amazing. I have also had the BBQ in the KC MCI Airport where they serve really good drafts alongside their really good BBQ. These guys are not like Pinkerton's where you are in a line up picking out your meats and sides cafeteria style. This place was the sit down with a menu and make your selections type of place. This is not a downside by any means...just different than what I experienced in Texas, more like the place at the MCI Airport. Anyways, hubby, son, and I selected the burnt ends, pulled pork, chicken, kielbasa sausage, double order of brisket, and ribs. Sides we chose included slaw, Mac n cheese, cornbread, and fried onions. All of the sides were really tasty, I can't choose a favorite, because I really liked all of them. The meats were all tender, the chicken was slightly on the drier side, but the rib meat fell off the bone, the sausage was juicy, the pulled pork was just right in flavor and tenderness, the burnt ends were amazing, and the brisket was tender and quite flavorful. And on the side of all of this loveliness were the sauces. You got 3 kinds to choose from: Spicy, sweet, and the traditional bbq. I liked all three. Hubby liked to mix all 3 together. And son of mine preferred the sweet one. We were dead silent aside from the sounds of yum coming from us. It reminded us of the MCI airport bbq place. Servers were pleasant, the place was clean as well. This was a very pleasant surprise to find here in Omaha. I will most definitely come back again!

One of us ordered chicken strips and other ordered boneless wings. It was surprising how different they were from one another. Like, not a good surprise. (The strips were much better.) Overall, I guess the price wasn't horrible, but the food wasn't delicious by any means. The restroom was a mess and just chipped paint and run down like the rest of the place. Service was okay, but I would never bother returning.

We traveled a few blocks for fresh homemade Italian dishes, along with a number of neighbors who had the same idea. Arriving at 5:45-shortly after the 5:30 start time, we were surprised at the line that quickly multiplied with families taking advantage of the great weather and playground equipment that kept the young ones occupied. A wide variety of menu options were available including fresh pasta with a choice of alfredo, marinara or meat sauce. Meatball, brats and Italian sausage subs topped the sandwich offerings. Hamburgers and fries were offered but I didn't see or hear anyone ordering from the grill. A children's menu and family feast were also listed on the hand lettered menus taped to the truck. I ordered the fresh pasta with meat sauce and added a meatball. My husband opted for the Italian sausage sub with potato salad. My entree came with a breadstick and the meat sauce was so packed with meat that I probably could have skipped the added meatballs. My husband raved about his Italian sausage sandwich and I was impressed that they wrapped the bun in foil to keep it from soaking up sauce on the trip home. We had a short 5-7 minute wait for our meals which was delivered in foam takeout containers. Plastic napkin wrapped silverware was available for those eating in the park. The young lady taking orders was well equipped for the crowd and kept the line moving very efficiently. Credit cards were accepted and someone from the kitchen shouted a "thanks for coming" as we exited with our order. Food truck Friday is a welcome addition in our neighborhood and Pomodoro's did not disappoint.
