I appreciate Bakers because of the quality and pricing along with friendly service make shopping a joy. I've stopped in here a few times, and always had a great experience. There are plenty of employees around, and great customer service at each point. There's quite a variety, more than I would expect for bakers, but the prices are typically higher than other grocery stores I shop at. I loved organized the groceries are, there are produce sections, meat and the aisles are in rows and are properly labeled. I'd like to shop here when there are sales, especially on the meat. Plus, they have this service where if you bring back the milk bottle, you'll be able to get a discount on the next purchase. The only thing I'd have some comments about are the freshness of fruits that are on sale. Usually after purchasing it, within 3 days there will be some that are covered with mould. read more

Years after making this "my" grocery store, I still love it and go weekly. I think bar none they have the best deals. Of course kroger and great value are similar so I stick to those brands, and then you can't forget the woo hoo good deals. Their meat counter is great, and the clerks and helpers are really nice. Any time I go morning, midafternoon, of the weekends it's always busy enough but I don't have to wait too long. Since the pandemic, I feel like it's returned to about normal and they still have a lot of sanitizers around the area and things are space out. I love their fuel saver point system and this location has a gas station on site now! Huge plus of all my points. read more

Fuck this store! There are lists of places to get food in this town! After I CHECK MYSELF OUT, for some stupid reason, I need to be "investigated" by Dawn. I stand there as Dawn stands at her station and talks to a coworker. I wait, I wait, I wait....then I ask if we could finish the conversation we are having another time! Dawn gets mad, (I dared to ask her to do her job) calls me rude and walks away! Then the girl she was talking to finally makes her way over, the screen is now showing her video of me CHECKING G MYSELF OUT, she is not looking at the video at all, I'm asking her if she is accusing me of stealing. She says no. I ask her why she is t looking at the video, she says she does not know she just needs to wait a certain amount of time before she can scan her card. She has to go through this at least twice! And I can't pay for the groceries I just CHECKED OUT MYSELF, until this woman scans her card and apparently "investigates" We're a family of five. We do this prolly 3-4 times a week! Per my receipt, today is June 3rd and I already have spent $160.00 at this disrespectful store! I'm sure we won't be missed! Fuck Bakers and Fuck Dawn! Not the best, not the worst. Expensive unless you shop the sales. But if you plan ahead and stock up, Bakers is the best. Pharmacy dept is short staffed to where it takes several days to get anything filled, even antibiotics. Took me a week to get my zpack filled, and by then I was much more ill than I would have been if they had filled it promptly. And they didn't care. That's the worst of it. With the exception of a few pharmacy techs, they make it fairly well known they just don't care--and it has been this way since long before the pandemic. read more

I loved the online delivery service with the Boost they have. Although recently they switched their delivery service to Instacart and I am honestly unsure why I put a delivery time in. Since they switched my groceries are never in the 2 hour window and I am missing groceries or it seems they can never find normal items. Honestly I am thinking about looking into Walmart or Hyvee just so I don't have to plan a 4 hour time window for my groceries. Yes I know I can go to the store but since I am paying for the service and now a tip as well. I would love for it to be on time and at least let me put the tip in after. After contacting different numbers, I finally talked to a human that said the delivery was delayed by two hours!!!!!! No notification was given to me. Baker's has been a good place to shop over the years. This location is one of my favorites. They have a good natural foods section, with reasonable selections in the grocery department. I'm fond of the delicatessen, because Baker's consistently stocks Boar's Head meats and cheeses. Try the dill havarti if you want a creamy cheese. The appliances/home section is quite large for a supermarket, which I like. On a few occasions I was able to find the utensil I wanted when the need arose. One new development for their pharmacy is a walk-up window. I have never even heard of this concept before, so it's pretty nice not having to go inside to use the pharmacy. Downside is the bench where employees sit and smoke is nearby, which is a large problem considering my asthma. Having complained about it, they immediately did something about it, which is most welcome. Overall, I like the store. It is clean and the employees friendly. I will keep coming back. read more

I usually go to this store because it's close to where I live however the last few weeks has not always been a good experience. I use a wheelchair so doing shopping is not always easy. This place has a new self service checkout area that is a little harder to reach the screen than the old ones. In the evening they close the old ones and leave the new ones open. Every time I decide to go to a cashier they are always busy and they only have one available in the evening. They moved the produce section around and now it's harder to find plastic bags that are within reach. There isn't a sign posted for the deli section hours. Sometimes they are still open at 7 pm or they are closed. Today there was a sign that was posted saying they will be closed at 5 pm. Multiple people including myself was at the deli section before 5 but they wouldn't serve us because they had already closed. This place definitely could use some improvements. read more

I love this store. its always clean, people are friendly and go out of their way to help with anything..... I have taken to ordering online because of covid and occasionally go in..... when ordering online I make a list at both stores for the same products and bakers comes out a winner each time . If the product is unavailable they come out to the car bring it to your attention and offer suggestions... This West Maple Baker's has a decent meat counter, good produce area, and a nice deli. They used to have a Hot Chinese Food section, but it now has appliances in front of it. I would have given it four stars but their young labor pool have no idea about customer service. On my way out there were three 'employed' kids talking to each other, blocking the way out, apparently not aware they were at work. read more

I literally live right around the corner from the HyVee on 108th and Fort. I drive all the way out to this Baker's because the customer service and their produce is so far superior. And recently so are their prices. I just moved back to Omaha after 2 years of living out of state and that Hy-Vee has seriously gone downhill. This Baker's however has upped their game. Today I got 90 eggs for $5. They had a sale of 18 eggs for $0.99 each. You really can't beat that. In addition their chicken prices are usually $1 cheaper than HyVee. Today when I was checking out I had only gotten four of the eggs and I meant to get five. Connor was bagging my groceries and immediately went to run back and get me a 5th carton of eggs. He was such a polite kid. Kudos to Baker's for hiring hard-working young kids. I'll be going here regularly from now on instead of hyvee. The drive is worth it. read more

On August 15th, I purchased about $70 worth of groceries. A couple of days later I noticed the charge on my card was $216. I could not locate my receipt but when I went on to my Bakers account, I saw that someone else's groceries were mixed in with mine. I called and was told that there was nothing I could do but file a dispute. I filed a dispute, and it ultimately was denied. So, your welcome to whoever I bought groceries for! I have written to Bakers twice explaining that I cannot afford this, that my husband is fighting cancer, and this was a huge hit on our budget. I did not receive the items I was charged for! Nothing. I have not received one contact from anyone with the company. I have been a customer for decades and have never returned one thing or complained about one thing. For them to not even contact me tells me they basically don't believe me. In other words, they are assuming I am a liar. I will never set foot in a Bakers again and I will tell this experience to whoever will listen. read more

Went there Thursday December 20. With my 83 year old mother doing Christmas Eve Buffet shopping. It had taken more than an hour to get everything for the 20 some people expected ranging from age 2 -84. We got to checkout and I started unloading the groceries. The women in front was almost done but had multiple gift cards. For some reason there was a problem with the computer accepting them and her payment. It lasted 35 minutes. Women apologized at least 5 times. Cashier maybe once or twice. Assistant Manager no apology,Manager no apology. Bag person was challenged so I took first cart out to unload had my mom's keys with discount card on it! Came back in bagger trying to finish up. Find out in car they had given my mom $70 in cash back for discount cuz she didn't have her CARD to begin with. Guess what can't figure out what we DID pay. This was a $370. Trip. We have shopped at Bakers since the 60's on Ames. We will not shop there anymore! I'm 1 of 5 Kids here in Omaha and we all can let this be known by ourselves,spouses,kids grandkids and All our companies! Not acceptable! read more
