This has been my parent's grocery store since 1997. So over twenty-five years. My sister worked here (old building), and her best friend worked here (new building). Some fond memories of this store in my youth even though I worked at Bakers on 90th. Back in the day we would head here for a cheap breakfast like 2.99. This store has a variety of everything food, deli, Chinese, pizza, floral, bakery, organic, health items, liquor, restaurant and more. They have robust pharmacy and wine selection. I always find what I need in the liquor department and love finding clearance out items. Every time I come to Omaha, I usually go to this store to grab wine for the week and creamer for my coffee. On my last visit, I was able to buy stuff for our upcoming bbq. Everything was fresh but they were out of Cotija cheese for my elotes. Anyway all in all a very nice grocery store. I do think they need to drop the prices on the donuts but overall still a solid place to shop. read more

Pretty good grocery store I mainly just go to this one because live less than a mile away from here so it's pretty easy to get there. The food is really good and there's a lot of variety to choose from and the Chinese food that they have there is REALLY GOOD! I went to this Hy-Vee a couple weeks ago to ship an item that I recently sold on the bay. I walk into Hy-Vee and go to the shipping area and ship the item. Then, when I was walking out, I caught a sniff of their freshly-made Chinese food. I saw the buy one get one for $1 deal and had to pounce on it. I got the General Tso's and Hunan chicken and got the Broccoli Beef for my wife for dinner. I take the food over to the counter and saw a gentlemen carrying a massive pork tenderloin sandwich. So, I got one of the pork tenderloin sandwich dinners as well. I'll eat the sandwich for lunch and my wife and I will have Chinese for dinner. The service was good too. Everyone was really friendly. The food was all pretty good. The Broccoli beef definitely needed more beef as it was way more broccoli than anything else. All in all, this Hy-Vee was great. Also, whenever I need to purchase a special treat for special events, Staff Meetings or just family meals. It's a Hy-Vee... they have all the standard things you'd want from a grocery store (except a Starbucks, which I realize is too much to ask for). Nice place for a quick/cheap lunch stop as well, though it's for some reason pretty busy over the lunch hour compared to some other groceries (lots of houses in the area so people are doing their mid-day grocery shopping). Living as a Black woman in this country I am used to being racially profiled. I've learned to deal with it. I sometimes speak out. Sometimes I just don't have enough energy to address it. But, for some reason, today, it annoyed me much more than it normally does.... This morning, on my way to work, I stopped at Hyvee to buy my breakfast & lunch. I purchase items from this location all the time. In fact many of the employees greet me when they see me. Not this morning. Besides myself there were 5 other shoppers in the store. They were all white. Since the store was so empty it made the incident quite glaring. I went first to the frozen aisle. I was on the phone with my Dad, in front of the freezer, trying to make a decision. I notice the woman on the register left her station and lingered directly in my line of sight. Not a problem. Again, totally used to store employees profiling Black folks in their stores. I call it The Hurry up and buy effect. You want our green dollars but you don't want our Black a$$es in your store. But then, another employee stands next to me. Early in the morning employees are busy restocking items but this employee had no items in her hands, she did not have the price scanner nor did she remove or place anything in the freezer. She literally just stood there the entire time I was there. I figured since she was watching me I would put her to use. I asked her to show me where the Amy's frozen food was. None of the other white shoppers were followed, stalked or watched. Just me. I thought about putting everything back and walking out. I was so angry. I purchased my items seething inside. Don't my dollars spend the same as anyone else's!? I will not buy ANYTHING from Hyvee ever again!! It doesn't matter how you are dressed or how you speak or if you comply or if you are polite your Black skin will never afford you the benefit of the doubt. read more

This is the closest Hy-Vee to my house. It is a pretty nice grocery store, but more then that, it is a great florist and most important of all, it is a really great, affordable, dry-cleaner/laundry. I send my work clothes here when I am in town and I am pretty particular about how they get cleaned and pressed, these people get them done on-time and how I like them, this is good, what is great is that they are the cheapest place I have found to get them done. When I am on the road and want to send flowers to my wife they have always impressed me too. They take orders over the phone, and I am always a bit worried that since I won't see them when they arrive they will skimp on the quality or presentation, they don't. They are also very willing to put up with my quirky sense of humor and laughingly put whatever I ask them to on the card for me. read more

Pharmacy forgot to ask for birthdate when prescription was dropped off. When we went to pick up 30 MINUTES later (time they said it would take to fill) they said sorry, couldn't fill without a birthdate. (How about a call or page)So waiting another 30 MINUTES for them to fill. What the heck?! Put pills in a bottle and slap a name on it! Waiting after a surgery. Not pleased waiting for pain meds while they give us a pager and tell us to park in parking lot and wait. read more

3.5ish rounded up to 4 stars overall. This is a nice Hy-Vee, and not too far from our house. I always like the 'Wine and Spirits' selection at Hy-Vee stores, and this location is no exception. Always a robust selection of wines and micro brews. The store itself is large and has all of your grocery items covered. The meat department is pretty good, and they have a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Good Lord. On all that is holy, I've never smelled such a foul stench emanating from a men's public restroom than right at this very establishment. This is an issue far and away from a quick spritz of Febreeze or a cursory fanning-out. No, this is an infrastructural abomination: there is very clearly a septic malfeasance or sewage backlog of God-knows-what under this otherwise decent institution, but all I know is that this accursed miasma reeks of nothing except pure methane. Nonesuch comparison I could possibly make would do the odor justice, and you'll simply have to experience it for yourself, but here goes nothing. So goes the Greek myth: for Hercules' fifth of twelve labors, Eurystheus ordered him to clean up King Augeas' stables in a single day. King Augeas owned more cattle than anyone in Greece combined and some say that he had a thousand men on his payroll (among them cowherds, goatherds, shepherds, etc.). The great hero of the mythos quite literally diverted the course of a river, Alpheus, and, only then, was he able to clear the animalian feces which had so cluttered the Augean stables. 108th & Fort Hy-Vee needs a manager to direct their workers during the noon hour! I stood in front of the mail dept. for over 10 minutes and no one came to help. As I was waiting, over 6 people were also waiting on one Hy-Vee worker in customer service. There were at least a dozen Hy-Vee workers in the area, many were not busy either. Finally a check-out lady noticed all the people standing at customer service, so she began checking in on them. Thankfully for her she asked a younger Hy-Vee worker to take my package. I didn't need any mail services, just wanted to drop off my package to be mailed. Whew, what a time waster! read more

I give them a star because I have to. What a disaster this store is. In my mind it will be ALL hyvee's going forward. It was my daughter 18th birthday today and I was away. Life sometimes gets in the way. I ordered flowers to be sent to her several days in advance. Set the afternoon delivery window, made sure my wife was home, although it is supposed to be "no contact delivery". The door was never knocked on, the bell never rang. We have video of the delivery person walking up to the house, sticking a note on the door, and leaving! There never even were any flowers!!!!! Have spoken to managers at the store, I get platitudes and hollow "customer service" apologies. I am told I am belligerent because I am upset! My daughter will have 1, 18th birthday, hyvee fucked it up! Took the money and didn't even make an effort! They literally just didn't do their job! I can only assume the delivery vehicle is gps tracked and so the loser driver had no choice but at least show up. If this is my business, pink slips are flying! It is a buyers market, and I know you cheap Iowa bastards don't pay! You are reaping what you've down now! You have an enemy now hyvee! I would guess I have already experienced your best effort! This review is for the market express grille. Never again. My wife and I thought it would be a good idea to try their breakfast this morning then get our shopping done. The place was about half full and everyone seemed fine. At our 20 minute wait mark suddenly a customer yelled "what!? I've been waiting 45 minutes and you haven't even started my food?" He stormed off and got a refund. 10 minutes later the lady next to us went and got the manager. She was waiting 45 minutes and there was still 2 tickets ahead of her, she got a refund and stormed out. My wife and I debated so I asked how long and she said 5 tickets were ahead of us and it could be another 45 minutes. Nope, so I got a refund. As we were leaving about 3 other families got in line for a refund as well. I'm sorry but this place wasn't remotely busy and if their staff can't handle that what's the point. I love this grocery store. The management have obviously made customer service a premium because EVERY timer I shop here at least 2 people (usually more) greet me with a friendly smile and a "can I help you find anything". AND the they have regulars they set up sample stands who are about the friendliest people you will ever meet. Their prices are good but even if they weren't this would still be my go to store because I'm constantly amazed by their customer service. And it's very clean!!!! read more

Was at the 108th & Fort store this morning. I was greeted by a wonderful employee who was wiping down cart handles w/sanitizer... LOVED it! I then saw the round circles at the deli counter showing where to stand to keep a 6' separation... nice! But that changed quickly when I was reprimanded by one of the employees for going the 'wrong way' down one of the isles. I honestly didn't notice the one-way arrows. If these were meant to keep people 6' apart, they didn't! I was repeatedly passed by other shoppers; so their purpose is moot. Plus, there were employees in many of the isles restocking; boxes blocking the center isle as usual. So I had to navigate around them and boxes while trying to stay 6' apart. This turned my quick trip into an 1-1/2 hour nightmare. If Hy-Vee really wants those one-way arrows to work, then restock before opening, after closing or overnight. Neither idea was thought out well and both are useless. read more

HY-VEE I never minded paying a little extra for the service. Now you go in The hand scanners don't work so pick up the 20 lb bag of cat litter put it up to be scanned .Bag your own .and don't look for someone to help you out .so much for a friendly smile in every isle read more

This HyVee is about a one minute drive from my house and it used to be my regular grocery store. I moved back to the Omaha area after being away for 2 years and I have to say it's really gone downhill. The produce is always old and they hardly ever have anything in stock. I bought a carton of blueberries there the other day and brought it home only to find out that the middle blueberries were completely covered in mold. They're almost always out of sweet potatoes, romaine lettuce, and other produce items. Their prices are also much higher than Baker's which is right down the street. They do have some good sales every once in awhile, which is great, but in general their prices are higher than other grocery chains. I will say that they do have a substantial alcohol selection so if that is your thing they are good stop. I use the pharmacy here as well and I will say that they are always very prompt and friendly. Actually, I've never had a problem with any of this staff here. The staff is incredibly friendly. It's just the quality of the produce and the lack of having things in stock that make me drive the extra two minutes down the road to Bakers. While this used to be my regular grocery store, unless I'm in a pinch and really need something right now I drive the extra time to Bakers on Maple. read more

this store is close to my home and I am there quite often. I love their meat counter, I have yet to get anything that I have not been happy with. The other thing I must say about this store is the staff is very friendly AND helpful. if you can't find someone to help you at this store then you must have your eyes closed! There truly is someone in every aisle asking if you have found what you are looking for or if you need assistance. I am also impressed by the fact that the staff actually greets you as they see you and it does not seem forced. I love this store and will continue to frequent it. read more

Worst customer service from management. My grandson fell and hit his head and something in the store fell on top of him. I called and spoke to manager Terry Taylor who was rude and uninterested in what happened or in how my grandson was doing. So disappointing. I will not shop there again. I am so offended that the smallest of customers mean so little to management. This was a safety issue and it has been poorly handled. read more
