I love browsing World Market for unique home finds, cool funky jewelry, and fun food from around the world. The truth is you never know what you are going to find here, which is half the fun. This is a great spot to get a really unique gift or to find the perfect assortment of fun food and drinks for your next dinner party. Prices are a bit of a mixed bag. I love world market, the vibe, the products, and the quality of items. I love that they offer pickup for online shopping and their rewards program is a pretty decent one. I have come in many times and have had great service. There are two employees that I usually interact with most often and both are so helpful. One man and a woman who both wear glasses (I'm so sorry for this description because I didn't happen to catch their names) both are ALWAYS friendly, kind, and helpful. Now yesterday I went in for a pick up order, I know it was a busy and probably stressful day and I forgot that it was Black Friday, I realized once I got in and the line was pretty long. I decided to stay because the line seemed to be moving pretty quickly. It was I waited maybe 7 minutes to get to the register....now when I got to the register I told the woman I had never seen before that I had a pick up order....immediately annoyed with me. I told her my name and she said "your last name" after I had just told her so I spelled it as she walked away from me and then came back empty handed asking "was it a big order?" Anyway long story short this woman was not friendly and let us feeling yuck when we left. Said friendly man I spoke of earlier actually stepped away from who he was helping to grab our items that whoever was helping me couldn't seem to find. A rather frustrating experience when I'm just doing the same as everyone else in store. I get it Black Friday but still. Next time I won't forget. read more

Love this store all the unique and higher quality things you can't find at homegoods. I love this location, because it's huge parking lot and it's close to a lot of other fun stores to check in. I have some some extremely good products and very different things like this glass picture frames, and they've held up over the years. My favorite thing to peruse is the food and beverage area. The Maui's sweet onion chips are so hard to find in town, and I can get a party size bag here. Staff is helpful and they run different specials. This is a great place to get gifts. read more

I needed to get snack items and a basket to prep for an upcoming fundraiser. World Market is the place to find ' hard to get' food and drink items to supplement a gift basket. A large variety of baskets come with a kit to wrap and tie the plastic covering in order to have an aesthetic look to this. It took over 1 minute to get the receipt at the counter. The day my sister took me to Cost Plus is the day I fell in love with a store and shopping. We we're Christmas shopping and looking for quality coffees. Real imported brass and baskets. kitchen sets, oriental cooking items and spices from India. I purchased my last set of hardwood dining room chairs at Cost Plus without having to buy a new table, and I've been using them for 18 years. I still have a brass pencil holder on my desk at home from the first day, thirty-four years ago, that I walked into my first Cost Plus World Market. Honestly the thing that keeps me coming back is the whole bean Columbian Huila coffee. It's the best. Get it. I also love the holiday items they get in; particularly Christmas. The amount that I love this place is obscene (also obscene is the amount of money I have spent here since it opened). They have awesome, reasonably priced décor and kitchen items, beautiful furniture, luxury bath products, clothing items, international food, domestic food, and a huge alcohol selection. This place is my go-to whenever I need a gift basket (or even just a gift), as they have super easy gift basket kits for $6 (a nice basket with paper filling, cellophane to wrap it up, a tag, and twine to tie a bow). It is so easy to load one of these up with all kinds off goodies from the store. My husband and I are obsessed with the World Market brand pasta, as well as the World Market and the Dave's gourmet pasta sauces, and always have a huge stock of both in our pantry. I am also obsessed with their gourmet chocolate bars - they have a ton of different brands with really unique flavor options. You can sign up for their rewards program and they will send you coupons regularly, as well as notify you of their sales (which can be pretty good). read more

This store now has been open about 7 months since my original visit, and upon my return I was pleasantly surprised. The wide open empty spaces are now filled in with merchandise making it the maze you would expect at their other stores. I had planned on going in just to check their beer selection, but 45 minutes later I was still checking out only half the store. When they closed the World Market location years ago off of Dodge Street, I was openly sad but secretly happy because this place is a minor addiction for those of us who lack the stop-the-impulse-buying gene. You know who you are - we run into each other in the "apparel" section of Costco and purchase non-hardware items at Menards. So, when they opened this location conveniently, I tried my best to stay away. Alas, epic fail on good intentions. Walked in for a jar of mango chutney (hey, any excuse right?!), and walked out with a jar of cornichons, a necklace, assorted snack items with intriguing ingredients and enough wine to hold me over for the holiday festivities and entertaining. Signed up for the Explorer program so I could get an additional savings on said wine, plus digital coupons (30% off) of my non-alcohol purchased. The free roll of wrapping paper was an unexpected bonus. Be warned...your 10 minute stop over will quickly turn into an hour-long perusal. read more

I love stores that sell unique foods and World Market is one of them. They have an incredible wine and champagne selection, along with a huge variety of assorted foreign beer. They've got a great selection of unique gifts and household items however their beer selection is often outdated. Last time I was there I found beer from 9 months ago when most beers are "good" for 4-6 months. Suffice to say be careful when shopping their food and drink. read more

Love this place! So many fun gift giving items, home decor, and unique things for every room of your home. We came to get some ideas for Christmas and ended up finding a few things. My husband was so excited by the fact that they sell New York Seltzer water I thought he was going to pass out when he saw it on the end cap!! He said he hadn't seen it since elementary school when he used to drink it all the time. We immediately had to purchase every flavor they had. Their beer and wine section is amazing. In the food section, we found some soup mixes that we are excited to try. I recommend getting signed up for their reward program. It is free and you earn points for what you spend (and you earn double on Wednesdays!). Everyone that we encountered there that day was very friendly and helpful. Omaha used to be graced with two World Market stores years ago, only to sadly see them liquidated as they evidently concentrated on the rest of the world market outside Omaha. Well, the corporate test market gurus have evidently decided there is again an audience for this franchise, again opening a location off of 120th and L. This time the prices are just as high and the products just as interesting, but the offerings don't seem to be that much more eccentric than that of competitors. In 2016 I can walk into Target and get prints and sculptures of the Eiffel Tower, Bed Bath and Beyond for antiquey wicker baskets, and even Family Fare or Bakers for some foreign cuisine. However, what they have in stock is still fun, eye-grabbing, and usually delicious. They may be lacking in the kind of wood carvings they stocked in their earlier days, but their wine list goes on and on. Just don't go there looking for baskets, shelves, and vases just before you visit Hobby Lobby. And if you do, window shop. read more
