Tacos gringos

Stopped in here the other day for some lunch. Got some chips and salsa to start, the salsa verde was good and had some spice to it. I got the tacos gringos with chicken. They were delicious and the rice and beans with it made it really good. This place is cash only as well so be prepared. Service was good too. There's only a few tables inside and it's small indoors. Overall not a bad spot!

This place is 100 percent authentic and CASH ONLY! Unlimited CHIPS! I happen to be in Freehold area and I decided to go on Yelp and give a try for some local restaurants! It took me awhile to choose the right place I wanted since Freehold is filled with spanish restaurants and that is what I was looking for. Finally, I made my mind to go with Bahia De Acapulco. As soon as I walked into the restaurant I felt like I'm in a different country: interior design, latino music and etc. I really fell in love with it. Staff is incredibly welcoming as well as visitors. There was a guy sitting next to us with a case of beer and an amazingly looking meal. Every time I looked at him he would either offer me a bottle of beer or spicy latino snacks. After our dishes arrived, OMG they looked amazing. Quesadillas with beef and Acapulco fajitas with beef were delicious! I really liked the Quesadillas. They were soft with a slight crispy burn to it and mouth watering beef. Yes, bathroom does need a lot of maintenance: broken hanging door, cracked dispenser and random stuff just sitting there in the corner. To be honest with you, I do not mind any of the flaws of the place, I am here for a food experience. Overall, if you are looking for an authentic Mexican place this is the place to visit. Thank you for reading this and I hope you find this helpful.

I almost don't want to leave a great review so people will find out this place exists... AWESOME whole in the wall mexi joint. Don't come for the glitz and glam because you wont find it here in this casual neighborhood spot, but what you WILL find is amazing, authentic eats in the heart of Freehold. Been here numerous times, each dish is better than the next. Highly recommend the tacos and enchiladas. The green sauce they give with chips when you sit down is out of this world good. Pro tip: they also let you custom order whatever you want if you aren't feeling the menu options. just say the word!

I am so lucky to find this place. We went back there so many times and ordered take out. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, this is the place to go. The interior of restaurant is ok which I don't mind as long as the food is good. The spicy sauces were unbelievable tasty. Everything I ordered from this place was delicious. Can't wait to go back there again!

We were craving mexican while passing by freehold and while there were many many mexican restaurant options clustered together in downtown freehold, this place was the real gem!! We walked around and peeked into at least 5 different restaurants before deciding that this was the one! Authentic feel, inviting smell, friendly staff. You can tell by the people who were eating there, that it was the most authentic. Lots of locals who were even offerring beer and nuts. Complimentary and unlimited homemade chips and green sauce! The food came in such big portions and it was delicious!!! Could not stop eating the rice and the beef quesadillas. Everything tasted authentic and really amazing. Would love to try their platters and enchiladas next time. This place was also more affordable than the others around it. Also, CASH ONLY. They do have an atm inside and a wells fargo nearby. Overall, loved the food and experience. Will definitely be back!

I did have a bunch of their sauces and salsas. None really stood out except their green sauce, which was used sporadically. Birria Tacos - These were very good. The consommé was flavorful, while the beef was tender. The tortilla was crisp too even with the consommé added. Elote Corn - This was rather plain. There was only a crema and cotija cheese present. It seemed like chili powder was supposed to be added, but I did not taste or see any. The corn could have been cooked a little better too. Guacamole - This was tasty. It appeared fresh and paired well with the chips given. I really liked the texture of it too. Chicken Flautas - These were deep fried tortillas with chicken, sour cream, lettuce, and cotija cheese I believe. These were solid. The chicken could have been seasoned a little more, but the tortillas were crisp and held up. Choriqueso Con Tortillas Tostadas - This was melted jack and Oaxacan cheese topped with Mexican chorizo over toasted nixtamal homemade corn tortillas. The cheese and chorizo was excellent, with lots of flavor. It did not look the best but tasted good. The corn tortilla was either old and stale or just fried way too long as it was very tough to chew. It could have made for a great bite. Will I go back? Debatable.

The restaurant is cute painted with murals. They are a byob establishment. I had a fresh watermelon juice, not sure, but I think it had sugar added. It was so large I requested a Togo cup to take the rest home. My friend had the divorciados chiliquillas they were good, but the eggs were cooked well. We would have preferred runny yolks. Definitely will go back.

Every time I eat here, I always say it myself that this place has the freshest best tasting grilled chicken, grilled shrimp, seasoned vegetables, salsa, and food! I don't know how they do it, but it's so delicious and served perfectly hot every time! Actually, this is one of my two go to restaurants and favorite spots that I use all the time! It's not uncommon for me to go here every weekend for even eight weeks in a row. While the service is excellent. the food is cooked to order. So you may wait a little longer than you're used to for your food, but that's the reason why it's so delicious and so perfectly served! If you'd rather be served faster there's plenty of other options to go. You still get served fast enough though and they do put a nice bowl of chips and salsa on your table while you wait. I am sort of stubborn so every time I go I get the grilled chicken and shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. You could also get regular tortillas. This meal is so perfect for me. I'm never gonna change but oh my goodness they have one heck of a menu. Also, this place is absolutely beautifully decorated, and you feel like you're in Mexico City! I guess it's time to let the secret out, you'll really be happy you went here!
