This location was a HUGE disappointment for my boyfriend and myself tonight. He introduced me to Bahama Bucks a couple months ago and I've been hooked ever since! I love trying all the new flavors and it's become a favorite treat for us. However, there are no Bahama Bucks anywhere near where we live so we drive a half hour or of our way for these delicious treats that we've become obsessed with. But tonight... tonight was AWFUL! This was the first time coming to this location and it was the opposite of everything I expected from my Bahamas! The energy walking into the facility was very negative and no one was smiling or seemed like they wanted to be there at all. But most importantly, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with my shaved ice. It tasted like a poor flavored snowcone. Unlike my other Bahama Bucks, I felt like I was reaching for flavor and had to suck on the ice to get any of At first I was hoping it was just on the dome part of the ice but it proved to have extremely little flavoring throughout the entire large shaved ice... and the cream! Geeeze I love the cream and there was barely any of that either.. All around this was the worst Bahama Bucks I've had thus far and am so mad that we drove So far just to be disappointed. I gave this location the second star because the only positive that I had at my visit was that I was greeted and asked if I was ready or needed help promptly. But I still wish my shaved ice would have been what I was expecting. I would definitely not recommend anyone coming to this location. I have no idea how I missed this place. Bahama bucks is a slurpee junkies paradise. Apparently they've been in the valley for years, and I either thought they were a tanning salon causing my brain to ignore it, or I've blocked out the portion of my childhood where I visited one.... hopefully though if your reading this it means I'm not the only one who didn't get the memo? On the surface its your average snow-cone/icee joint ala Water N Ice. Dig in though and you'll find a hundred flavors you never considered drinking (dill pickle, creme brule, strawberry cheese cake, etc..) and an array of machines that employ magic to turn giant blocks of ice into little cups of snow that are somehow icy and soft at the same time. You can combine any flavors you like and "add cream" to anything. It makes your standard icee more like Halo Halo... only without the candied beans... or the yams... or.... well just try it on a rootbeer or orange flavored ice - it will blow your mind. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is that its a bit slow. Folks there seem to be trying hard, but visit the one on Power Rd and its half the wait and all the awesome. read more

I am a tropical flavor guy so I always look for guava, passion fruit, lychee, stuff like that...Surprisingly, they offer passion fruit and lychee no guava though. They even have Li Hing Mui. Maybe next time. They can additional items for extra charge but I decide to get a baby with ice cream. I have them put passion fruit, lychee, and lemon. The texture of the ice is not of those lame snow cones where it gives you mini ice cubes and falls apart when the syrup is poured on it. This stuff is the real deal. The machines are the same as the shave ice places from back home. With that being said, my cup was lacking flavor. I really couldn't taste anything. Maybe some of the passion fruit and lemon. Nothing from the lychee. Maybe they forgot? Reason I say that is because my friend also ordered hers with lychee and they totally forgot. I'm only giving three stars because as usual they jipped me on the sweet cream. :) Anyone who has had the sweet cream added to a choice of their own personal favorite flavors; and there are tons to choose from, knows that adding the sweet cream is the difference between eating hot dogs made of lips, skin, and hooves versus 100% pure horse meat. Too far? Lol. Seriously though, the first time I went here the guy at the counter asked me if I had been there before and if I had the sweet cream. He told me it would change my life and it did. He layered it throughout my blue raspberry and cherry mix and it was fantastic. Now every time I've been back I specifically ask for EXTRA sweet cream. Now I realize acquiring the same job skills as a 5 year old needs to make snow balls is probably time consuming and an arduous journey, but is it possible to take an extra 30 seconds per customer and give them what we are asking and paying for? I know crying around about something that you can get at a circus or carnival for a $1 seems ridiculous, but considering I paid over $15 for two big cups of sugar water and shaved ice, that it gets out more into the category of asking for simple customer service. Although this location was busy filling drive thru orders (didn't know there was a drive thru!) we were still offered assistance in answering questions about their products or if we needed help ordering. Having never visited a Bahama Buck's before I had a question about the type of milk/cream used in their smoothies and was surprised to learn the majority of their smoothies are not made with milk. Was slightly dehydrated and looking for something icy to eat when Yelp steered me here. Got here 10 minutes before they closed and was impressed with how friendly and nice the people working there were. There are a ton of flavors and wanting something slightly sweet I got a baby strawberry margarita. the baby was more than enough for me. The flavor I chose was too sweet for me but I loved the texture of the Sno. The presentation is also very cute with the little umbrella and color changing spoon. Next time, I'll ask them for recommendations on flavors that are less sweet (there are so many to choose from) or maybe do the combo that some people suggested of mango Sno, chamoy topping and chili lime salt. I have been a patron of this location since my childhood am very disappointed with my overall recent experiences. During my initial visit on 2/12/22, I ordered 5 items and they all tasted awful (4 ices and 1 smoothie). The ices hardly had any flavoring and tasted of chlorine due to lack of proper water filtration. The smoothie tasted strange, and not at all like oreos. The only aspects of the treats that tasted normal were the bomb pop toppings. I froze the treats and returned on 2/14/22 to request a refund. I was greeted kindly by Kailee, who attempted to resolve my grievance. She claimed to have called her manager and that the manager said she could not offer a refund, but could make x4 treats now free of charge and offer all x5 treats free of charge on my next visit. She shared that the employees who had originally made my treats were new and likely not properly trained. She assured me that I since she had been working here for over a year, that the treats would be made correctly. I informed her that as long as the x4 treats were made correctly and all x5 were remade upon my return on a different day, I would consider the matter resolved to my complete satisfaction; otherwise, I would request a full refund. She agreed. After tasting Kailee's treats, all agreed they tasted excellent. I then returned on 2/15 and was greeted by Jarod. I informed him of the situation and he said my name wasn't in the book. I informed him that had just spoken with Kailee yesterday and was owed x5 treats, per the resolution agreement and he said, "We cannot keep making free stuff for you," in a condescending tone. I asked to speak with the manager, which he claimed to be. I then asked for his superior's name, which he shared was Alicia, and asked for him to contact her. He then left, said he did, and the result was the same. My family absolutely loves Bahama Bucks and has made it a tradition to patronize here frequently.
