Ordered a custom ice cream cake for my aunt's birthday and it was fantastic! Placed the order online a few weeks ago, it was super easy to customize every element and they had soooo many options! We went for a super chocolate-y mint combo with a chocolate cake, mint chip ice cream, chocolate ganache, chocolate shavings and little chocolate curls on top. It was heavenly. The ratio of cake to ice cream was perfect and the ganache was a nice, silky, high quality chocolate. It was ready right on time and absolutely perfect! read more

Business borderline bullying a content creator after calling a 17 euro small plate with a tiny cookie and whipped cream valuing at around 20 cents to make "slightly overpriced" even after saying it's good apart from that. Then lying about it on social media saying it was 11 until he sent a receipt for proof, they even used a clown emoji and laughed at him on instagram whoever is running the social media should be fired, horrible place, don't feed them money read more

My husband came here and had the girl give him nothing but attitude. The music is loud that it's hard to hear!! I love cold stone ice cream I use to work there when I was young. But when you say a size and the person can't hear you and gets mad when you correct them when they are making it, makes a face and rolls her eyes, is just ridiculous. I have been in customer service all my life and I have never treated anyone like this! I didn't get her name but the receipt says Aryana. Needs some customer service training. Then proceeded to make a hissy fit when she had to go to the back and get lids for my order. read more

I order Cold Stone Creamery on DoorDash probably more than I should, even though this location is just minutes from my house. Tonight, I decided to go in person for the first time in a while. I've been struggling with a lot--my father passed away less than two weeks ago--and I hoped something as simple as getting ice cream might feel comforting. I showed up an hour before closing. The store was empty. A pale brunette girl took my order. I started to tell her I wanted birthday cake ice cream with a brownie mixed in. I paused briefly, assuming she'd want time to get the ice cream on the slab. She asked if I wanted a lid, assuming I had finished telling her my order. I realized me pausing had likely made her assume I was done. My fault. I said "oh sorry I didn't know if you wanted me to give you the full order in one go" (this is because i mix in up to 6 toppings). Instead, without a trace of patience, she cuts in with an eye-roll of a tone and says, "Yeah...I'm gonna, ya know, make it," It was the kind of remark that flips a switch. I went from trying to be kind and gentle, to feeling stupid for even walking through the door. For what? For pausing mid-sentence? For treating her like a human being instead of barking out a full order like a robot? This was the first real interaction I've had with another person since my dad died. And I was met with sarcasm and passive-aggressive attitude. It cost her nothing to show an ounce of decency. Instead, I walked out fighting back tears. And the kicker? She got the order wrong. Because I was too stunned by her attitude to stand at the counter while she made it. Maybe she should have taken the time to actually listen to me. It takes nothing to be kind, she could have said barely anything and it would have been cool. Instead she chose to be mean to a stranger who did nothing. read more

The ice creams here are way better than the store at Tempe market place. The service here is excellent. I would recommend this over any other store if you are looking for cold stone in Tempe. read more

I was here recently for my Strawberry Blondie which is my absolute favorite to get here. (Strawberry Ice cream, Graham crackers, cool whip, and I forget what else is in it. I was a Lil sad to see that the staff no longer sings when you tip. This place was one of my Children's 1st job, while he was in high school on the weekends...back then, the staff used to have to sing a song after each tip and I remember going here and tipping daily just to make them sing because my Son hated it due to being embarrassed. I was definitely that Mom who'd dance while they song that jungle to embarrass him. Anyway, I love Cold Stone and will treat myself every once in a while when I feel like indulging in something that I really shouldn't have. There's plenty of parking and the Ladies are very nice! They laughed when I asked them to sing after a tip as they stopped that years ago... so they say! I tried!!! There's plenty of parking on site read more

wow... please keep "Going Bananas for Jell-o Pudding" as a forever flavor... i was craving banana jello pudding and came across this... best discovery! it's normally a lil difficult to get authentic well tasting banana pudding. i either have to travel far or pay gourmet price for a sliver of pie. Cold Stone came through today. not only is there real chunks of banana and whip cream but also huge pieces of Nilla wafers... doesn't have a pudding consistency which i prefer but the flavor of banana pudding is still there with every bite. i ordered online and my pickup was easy. convenient location and helpful workers! if this isn't a forever flavor then it may probably be for the best but wow... 10/10. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - No inside seating after 930 - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

CSC in a nice corner location on McClintock just south of Southern. I had an ice cream craving and this satisfied. I had 2 very large dips(one brown sugar, one strawberry)topped with raspberries and black cherries. It was alot of ice cream but not cheap at $7. Service was up to par and fast(although I was the only customer when I ordered). Seating area needs renovation and is small. I read this is the 1st CSC and it definitely needs some sprucing up. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - Strawberry blond gotta have it! Yum! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

Do they not offer the "gotta have it" size anymore? That used to pair perfectly with the waffle bowl... but it isn't available via delivery. You can certainly get a pint or larger container- but it isn't the same. I usually order that specific size because it fills the waffle bowl & easily splits into 2 'love it' servings or 4 'like it' servings. I guess we can't have the ENTIRE cake here & eat it, too, anymore. But overall- not disappointed in my order. It's a Friday night, order in w/ pizza, ice cream & a good streaming movie kinda "date night". I could have driven over... but why, if I can click a button & have it brought to me?! This worked out well, and probably because the location is less than 5 miles away. The 'love it' size delivered was definitely filled to over capacity. And, the two mix-ins requested were not scarce. An adequate amount of rainbow sprinkles w/ some VERY decent chunks of cookie dough! Cold Stone's ice cream stands out because of the consistent & rich flavor. It's hard to go wrong when there is quite a selection & all are good! The chocolate dipped waffle bowl was set in a sturdy (recyclable) foam cup that kept it well protected. Nicely packed & presented for a delivery. It wasn't melted, leaking or compromised at all. For ice cream delivery, this was one of the better experiences. I do feel like the prices are a bit steep... but, pretty much everything you get here is REALLY rich in flavor, so even the smallest size goes a long way (hence the reason I split these into smaller portions). They've always been pretty consistent & never forget to include the spoons! read more

The service could be 1000% better! I don't expect people to jump for joy when customers come in but by all means can we be greeted? Anyways I come and ask if they can do the strawberry blonde in the biggest size they had only to have the girl roll her eyes at me and say "uhh yeah" .. next she bags it up and puts in on the counter like she's ready to clock out. Arriving at 9:30 when they close at 10. This location should get new employees or close earlier so they treat their customers like they should be treated. I'll go to Dairy Queen across the street next time! read more

First time here, Ice cream is delicious, but service was very rude. I work in the service industry for years and love it, but the way I was treated was not it. I understand personal life happens, but it shouldn't be take out on other people. I hope the tall lady is doing okay, highly recommend the manager checking in with staff and asking why they are getting anger/mad at customers. I tipped and hope it adds up to a collective positive. I'll try another location, just because customer service means so much to me (especially since I work in it). Sending lots of positive energy to the Monday evening workers tonight. read more

I can honestly say that I'm not the biggest ice cream fan. I mean I like ice scream, but I can be a bit sometime-y with it. But when I crave it, I crave it in a big way. Cold Stone can be a bit much for me with all the toppings, but that's what makes it SO cool.. That being said, the servers at this location are the nicest around. I've visited the two cold stone locations in Tempe many times because my friends LOVE ice cream. Most times I don't order anything or I'll take a sample spoon of something and the servers are ALWAYS very sweet! My favorite thing to order is a like it Sweet Cream with Snickers. SO GOOD! Also cool to know that this is the first location EVER OPENED in 1988! How cool is that? read more

I love ice cream on hot days, and normally don't go out to get it, except for when its scortching hot. Last night, I was hot, so I decided to go and get some coldstone. I think coldstone is good, and love the fact that they have late hours and are close to home. Thier ice cream is rich and delicous, with many options of stuff to have put in it. I can't eat it all the time, but it is a nice tasty treat to have! read more

I am very old school so vanilla is my flavor but they offer many other flavors. Plus you can add in your side. Oh Yeah!!! This location now offers shaved ice!!! Yes!!!! Do not forget to check out their ready made ice cream cakes, and cupcakes. You can also pick your own flavor and design if you choose. read more

I went in and ordered two love it ice creams. I was charged for the love it which is more expensive and given three like its (smaller size). I called and SJ advised I could come back in and they would honor two love it ice creams for their error and she would write my name down. I went back into the store and Darien (another employee) advised they would only give one love it for their error. She also indicated her store manager declined two love its. I would recommend always checking your receipt after your purchases to avoid being over charged and to prevent the mediocre customer service they provide. read more

Came here specifically for the strawberry shake at 6pm on a Monday night, I was told they were deep cleaning the blenders and I couldn't get one. Located on the southwest corner of McClintock Drive and Southern Avenue, this Tempe store is the first location in the Valley to dish up soup from the Manhattan kitchen that inspired the legendary "Seinfeld" character the Soup Nazi ("No soup for you!"). I recommend the shrimp bisque ($7.99). It's creamy with plentiful pieces of mouthwatering shrimp, carrots and peas. The soup is amazing and it comes with a choice of apple, orange or banana, a small piece of bread and a chocolate. I'm sure I don't have to touch to much on the ice cream here. Everyone should know by now how delicious it is!!! read more

I thought it would be cool to go here since this is the location of the very first Cold Stone Creamery. A plaque on the wall confirmed that this was store #1 but other than that it was unremarkable.
