We decided to try this place out around 4pm on a Saturday. Went through the drive through. Waited 40 minutes with only 2 cars in front of us. When we got to the window it felt clear that the workers inside couldn't care less. I don't normally write reviews but it was pretty ridiculous All for a snow cone that was just okay lol we won't be back. read more

Worst location in Phoenix by far, do not come to this location at all complete disregard for customers time/and money. They mess up orders, drive thru is always crowded, and managers run a loose ship. Could save a lot of $ and go to a shaved ice stand for the quality at this location read more

Bahama Buck's is perfect even when it's cold out! Tonight we decided to stop by on our way home. Glad we did cause it was the perfect ending to our day. As usual, we were meant with a friendly smile and a willingness to serve immediately as we pulled up to the drive thru window (myself with a dog and 5 kids under 10 so i was not getting down but I really had a sweet craving). I ordered an Everest size and we split it. It was so huge we had enough for everyone to get almost a whole cup serving. The staff was nice enough to provide extra spoons for the little ones who of course can't get enough of the color changing spoon (ummm...cause it's pretty magical)! The line tonight worked in my favor because as I made a u turn to get in line, the first car left. The car in front pulled forward and must've ordered something small because before I knew it, it was already my turn. Great service and even better shaved ice!!! The bonus is that this location is a mile from me house! #organicad #lfthx read more

I'm so frustrated. They are absolutely addicting and I'm dying to curb my sugar cravings, but I'm thinking of just increasing my physical activity to account for mass intake of Bahama Buck's. I love the half Red Raspberry, half Strawberry. The punch card is pretty sweet, too! Customer service is consistently friendly over on Rural and Warner. Thanks guys! Updated: Still 5 stars, duh. The cotton candy is my new favorite. I brought my sister here, she's from Chicago, and she fell in love! Can you blame her? My husband likes the smoothies and Frozen coffee drinks. Added a pic of his Island Mocha (which tasted like Frozen hot chocolate)! read more

Bahama Buck's - Island Mocha- very chocolatey and no heavy coffee flavor for the rare few (like myself) who aren't obsessed! The husband really liked it!! - Shaved Ice Near Me - Tempe, Arizona

I can't believe I didn't leave a review for this spot earlier. I'm not typically a fan of shaved ice but Bahama Bucks is a game changer! They have a very long list of flavors that can be mixed, even including flavors like birthday cake. Something about the way that they make their shaved ice almost gives it a creamy consistency and every flavor is amazing!! They are reasonably priced and the staff is always so friendly. They even have a drive thru. Love this place!! read more

We went out to dinner for my nephew for his promotion to high school and his favorite place is Bahama's Bucks. Never been here but always saw it driving by. We walk in and it was pretty empty. Huge signs with flavors for snow cones and smoothies. Very over-whelming for the first timer like me. My nephew told me to get the Bahama Rama Mama where they put two scoops of vanilla ice cream at the bottom. I got the Mocha Java Bahama Rama Mama style. That's a lot to say. Can you say that three times really fast. Hahaha. Anyways, what they do is dump two scoops of ice cream at the bottom of you cup then dump this shaved ice one top in a nice big snow ball and dump the flavoring that you chose on top of the ice. Topping it off with a tropical umbrella and a spoon. I got a medium and it was huge. I thought it was really good but very sweet. I guess I would compare this to Rita's and Joe's Italian ice. Italian ice is better but this was really good. BB can give you bigger servings and I think the prices are a little comparable. Noticed a bunch of younger people coming in on a Friday night. Mostly, high school kids. Guess they need that sugar high. The place has a few booths and high top chairs to relax while getting your sugar high. So service was good, fast, and friendly. If your in the area and looking for something to refresh you then this is the place to go. Enjoy. read more

Loved this location! Staff was friendly and fast! If you haven't tried Bahama Bucks, I recommend the Wavebender smoothie. It's delish! My son swears the Cherry Coke Sno is the best...I'm partial to the Coconut. Great place for families or friends to hang out ... they have board games you can borrow and play too! I really enjoyed a slushy treat that was offered in a sugar free version. I felt less guilty ordering it. Haha. They offer endless mixtures of flavors. I'm sure I will be back especially with the heat coming upon us soon. A nice way to cool off! I shall return...... read more

You can never go wrong with this place. They have one of the best shaved ice here in Phoenix and it's one of my favorite place to get dessert. They offer tons of different flavors and I love that you can create any flavor combination. Make sure you get it bahama mama style which comes with ice cream and make sure you add creme your shaved ice. It melts in your mouth and it will satisfy any sweet cravings you have. There usually is a wait but the staff really do try their best to get the orders out as fast as they can. I would also recommend avoiding the drive thru because the wait is twice as long. Overall I've never had a bad experience here and I love the shaved snow here. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the lines here can get long. Although it's not their fault that the lines are so long, it can be frustrating when you wait over 30 minutes . read more

Best shaved ice! What I love about it is that the texture of the ice is so smooth, its not like eating chunks of ice smothered in syrup. Speaking of smothered, they have a lot of different flavors to try. If you aren't sure, ask the people behind the counter what is good. Not a single spot in your shaved ice goes untouched by the flavoring, they do a good job at not skimping. Personally- blue raspberry, cherry/ strawberry with cream (mixed in, not just on top), and birthday cake are good ways to go. Perfect family spot and they have a drive thru. read more

Okay so my wife freakin LOVES this place. She'd probably shave one of my eyebrows off while I'm sleeping if she knew I was giving this place 3 stars. Now don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing by any means! With three stars being a base I simply don't have anything to add or remove stars for. It's a great, quality, tasty snow like frozen treat with many flavors to choose from. They're often very busy and the wait and be long, not their fault it's just popular with the school kids. I always get enjoyment out of my treat (I usually get Watermelon with cream), it's just not something I would go out of my way for. They do have lots of options and a friendly staff though. Side note, I would avoid using the drive through. I was at the window for 23 minutes just for two regular drink orders. Not sure if that was an isolated incident or not but I would never use the drive thru again. Everything else was A-okay! read more

From Tucson and I loved loved loved shoobies... They closed and I was so disappointed! This place however tops any thing from them! I'm so in love with this place! I stopped in and was immediately greeted by 3 staff. Then I was told their fave flavors... I choose a three way flavor with cream on top. AMAZING! I thought it was a little pricey when I checked out but after tasting it, it's so worth it! I leave town Friday and I'll definitely be stopping by before the drive home! read more

Happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped here and oh my gawd, I WILLLLL go out of my way for this place. I know it's just shaved ice, but I noticed the Flavor of the Day was Mango with chamoy & chili powder and (I added lime salt) and this damn thing was out of this world. It's like a raspado, but with shaved ice instead of crushed ice. Staff was super friendly and it has a fun new by vibe as you'd expect. Bring yourself immediately, thank me later! read more

I'm a big bahama bucks fan but this was my first time to this location. I always get the exact same thing (natural flavors, so no food coloring) and this time only half had flavor. Normally I wouldn't mind, I enjoy just plain sno but the side with no flavor tasted gross like burnt plastic? By the time I realized I was too far away to mention to staff but disappointing. read more

I came in right before Halloween so I got the Candy Corn flavor of the shaved ice. It was surprisingly delicious. I was worried it would taste too sugary, but it was soo good. I'm more of an ice cream person but I do like bahama bucks when I'm in more of a fruit-y mood. read more

This was my first time trying Bahama Bucks and I was definitively impressed! I have never been a big fan of shaved ice, but at the suggestion of many friends I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! I got the Bahama Rama Mama with vanilla ice cream, hurricane colada shaved ice and their signature tropic creme. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to cool off in this increasingly sweltering weather! To top it all off, the service was excellent, all of the girls who helped me were super friendly and answered all of my newbie questions. I will definitely be back! read more

Pretty disappointed in this location. I always end up waiting 30/45 minutes because their drive through is always backed up but it's close to my house so I deal with it. Today I was third in line (probably 10 cars behind me) I had ordered 3 drinks, when I got to the window I asked to pay for 1 on one card and the other 2 on another, they didn't know how (which is fine I can Venmo them but I've done it before) then slowly handed out drinks (3/5 minutes waiting between getting them) I noticed they were light on the flavor but I figured it was because they were sitting so long it just went to the bottom, welp I was wrong. They looked light because there was enough juice to change the color slightly and nothing else. If I wanted just straight up blended ice I would have just done it at home and not wasted $15 on something we didn't even get to enjoy. Won't be coming to this location any longer. read more

Helloooo Bahama Buck's. When I'm in the east valley, I like to stop by a Bahama Buck's whenever I see one. Especially when it's this freaking hot out. They sell those giant shaved ice things, and they have somewhere around 80-90 different flavors to choose from. They're so refreshing on a hot, sweaty AZ day. It's like eating snow (not the yellow kind). They also have juice and fruit smoothies you can customize yourself. The place has a very tropical feel and it's perfect for getting out of the heat for a little bit. Great place for both adults and kids. P.S. The shaved ice is HUGE and my favorite flavor is jungle berry because I'm wild. That's right. I'm wild. read more
