I love coming here because it's a relaxing atmosphere. Very chill. Plus the food and drinks are great! The bartenders are very attentive and pleasant. I especially come here for happy hour on Fridays, 4pm - 6pm. All the appetizers are half off and drinks are reasonably priced. They know how to pour a Guinness very well. 02/2026 Rating: 4.0 After a disappointing meal at the location in north of Dade County, my hopes for this visit is to be a more desirable one. RESTRAURANT: The restaurant always have that chill island vibe. Parking was pretty packed at this time and looking from the outside patio, I thought the place was dead. That's because everyone was inside hiding from the 73 degree air outside. The decor is right on theme. The lighting was dim enough to be romantic but also bright enough to emulate the island sun setting vibe. In the patio, the area was clean. There were chairs stacked on one side that made me feel sad that they are not as busy as they used to. Music was vibing, some TVs were on. The restroom is clean and fully stocked. SERVICE: We were greeted as soon as we entered. And our server (Chris?) was very friendly, attentive and swift. He got the order in, and next thing we know the wings are out, then our drinks and then the rest of our meal. He was so attentive, replenishing my son's drink without prompt like clockwork. He happily handled my birthday reward and gift card. He was a ray of sunshine. FOOD: We enjoyed some happy hour menu like the half off jerked chicken wings, conch fritters and a Bahama Mama. My son had the applewood bacon and cheddar burger with fries. The chicken wings looked a bit lackluster, unlike the ones you see in the menu where it's glistening from the its oily sweat off the grill. So I was already expecting to be dry as heck. But, surprisingly enough, every part of the wings were moist, and with the sauce, it was fingerlickin good. The conch fritters tasted as if they just took it out the fryer; I just wished we had a whole bowl of that mango pico de gallo. The burger was a good size, was medium well like we ordered and delicious. The bahama mama was a good recommendation from our server; it was sweet and strong. Yeah, I'm a light weight. The presentation on each dish and drink with the thin slices of pineapples tells me that despite the circumstances, they are continuing to put effort on making the meal looks aesthetically pleasing. And for the happy hour price, you really can't go wrong with anything on the appetizer menu. Overall, this was far better experience hands down. I am grateful for the opportunity presented by Mr. Odem to make things right. My friends and I grew up near this location. It was one of the first places we considered being in a "club" because people are drinking and yet we, kids, were allowed to be there and dance. I haven't been here since I was a young adult. I've been wanting to take my husband that's never been there before , turns out we both forgot our anniversary's , so last minute we decided to come here, and what an amazing choice. Instantly I felt like I was in south beach in the middle of Kendall. The whole place was spotless and the staff including Chris the bartender were all super nice We ordered some drinks and realized happy hour started at 9, so we got the linguine pasta with shrimp and lobster. Wow better than red lobster. We also tried the famous coconut shrimp. And we also got the conch fritters which were the best I've had so far. They were nice enough to put the game on for us. The place was almost empty and the waitress did not come back to check on us often. We came in on a Monday and I did enjoy my virgin piña colada and the jerk chicken pasta was pretty good. The serving size was pretty large for it being the smaller one, but it makes sense with the price being so high for pasta. Overall, it was OK and I think everyone at the table enjoyed what they got. Might be nostalgia, but it's sad to see them go. I have many fond memories of eating at this restaurant over the years, and while the goat cheese stuffed peppers and many other items were removed from the menu; the food has been solid during our recent visits. This place used to be the SHIT! Now it is just a piece of SHIT . OMG!! This restaurant is in a prime location in Kendall. Takes up the whole corner and the movie theaters and a few other stores and offices, sit behind it. There is no reason for this restaurant to ever be empty! Yet, it is now empty all the time. Been there a handful of times in the last three weeks and it is just SAD!! Outside bar closed, one server who takes forever, and just deserted. I was told this restaurant will be closing down and reopening under another name within the next 6 to 12 months. Unfortunately, if this restaurant keeps running the way it has been till it closes, It will probably hurt the next restaurant that comes in as people will still look at it as the Bahama breeze location. I was told the same management and employees will stay for the new restaurant. This place has been there for years and years. So sad to see corporate/management run it to the ground the way they have. Drinks are total garbage now, and food is mediocre at best (sometimes). Not bad for a casual lunch or dinner. The jersey chicken pasta is very good for my taste and the seafood paella as well, so much seafood, just a bit too salty. Visited with a group about 20 for a work event. The space itself is very large and there was no problem Van our entire group in a back part of the restaurant and having it all to ourselves. It was midweek, but was still surprised that that whole half of the restaurant was empty except for our group. We had great servers who were attentive and making sure our drinks were never empty and our food was coming out quickly. We had a pre set menu with shared appetizers conch fritters and empanadas. We also each had a starter salad and then chose from three entrées. There was ribs, salmon, or a crema grilled chicken. I opted for a the chickens d it was very good. The sauce was a little sweeter than I like, but was very tasty. This Bahama Breeze is in Kendall right by the Turnpike. I usually come to Bahama Breeze exclusively for their happy hour but came to this one after a session of pickle ball with some friends. It was one of our friend's first time there so we had to get a lot of classic dishes for her to try. We were seated right away, and it wasn't too busy even though it was around lunchtime on a Sunday. The service was speedy and our server took the order on little tablet on at our table. We ordered: the empanadas, coconut shrimp, seafood paella, virgin ultimate pina coladas, grilled chicken with cilantro crema, and the chocolate island for dessert. Not all 5 star reviews have to be in a high end dine dining establishment. And this is the case with Bahama Breeze! I always feel like I'm on a breezy tropical vacation when I come here. But it's in Kendall! They have amazing happy hour specials from 4- 6pm / 9pm- close on weekdays. They also have an extended happy hour Sundays 9pm-close. I've been here multiple times but our waitress Hailey stands out from everyone who serves me. She is friendly, always recommending items on the menu and goes out of her way to make my experience a pleasant one. Their Bahama mama is a must have cocktail when you come along with their ultimate pineapple cocktail which is served inside a pineapple! Great amazing of liquor and you will feel them kick in after your second or third one. Their Caribbean music always gets me in a good mood. I've had almost everything on their menu but today we had the "Yuca cheese sticks" which are interestingly delicious and are served with a garlic green sauce. We also had their "Coconut shrimp" which is a favorite amongst customers. For dinner we had the "Lobster & shrimp linguini" ... so delicious. Amazing portion and decent amount of sauce. You can ask for shredded cheese upon request for that extra touch. Their "Bacon Cheeseburger" was what any cheeseburger should be, delicious and flavorsome! They're having a mouse problem. You can smell it the minute you step onto their patio. We had to leave and cats are not the answer to fixing this problem as they carry a certain type of parasite that 60% of the population has. For now this is my rating till they fix the rodent problem.
