I am generally not sure big fan of the chains but Bahama Breeze is easily an exception of that. We were at the mall and were hungry to eat some good food. So we tried out Bahama Breeze for lunch over the weekend. The place is huge and has plenty of tables and televisions around the seating area. Very sports bar kinda feeling that welcomes families as well. We got seats immediately. We ordered drinks from their special menu and food. The drinks were nice and were very well balanced. The food came out promptly with good sized portions. Everything tasted well and was to our liking. The service could have been slightly better such that we had to ask for water and for additional order had to call the server since the tablet our table was not working. I do recommend their flaming brownie, loved the show although our server could be a but more theatrical. Otherwise good experience and I would come back here again. read more

This place used to be good but not anymore, it has really gone downhill while the prices have significantly increased... Took my family here for lunch- service was lackluster & all the food was below mediocre. The coconut shrimp & crab cheese dip apps were both cold- shrimp batter was hard, dip was stiff & clumpy. The seafood paella was very salty, my jerk chicken pasta was bland, Caribbean red snapper & Jamaican curry pork chop were overcooked but tasted okay, mashed sweet potatoes were watery and tasteless. Where do I start. We used the app to make a reservation, which was super easy to use. When we arrived, we waited an additional 30 minutes, which I didn't mind. We were advised that the app would text us when our seats were ready, that didn't happened. As we waited the additional 30 minutes no one came and gave that customary, "We'll be with you in a moment." In fact we got up and advised them that we were still waiting. At that time we were seated. We finally sat at a booth. When our server arrived, he was dashing from table to table. He moved quickly and talked fast. He was courteous, however I felt rushed looking through the menu. The coconut shrimp tacos I ordered were average. Caribbean themed Bahama Breeze has always been a purveyor of high margin cartoon drink creations... who also happens to serve food under a canopy of fake palms and steel drum soundscapes. Breeze is a restaurant almost Disneyesque in its commitment to flagrant appropriation and abject fakery. So, I was not surprised to hear that their current parent Darden is seeking a quick sale of the floundering chain. So myself, my sons and my sons girlfriend decided to go bahama breeze. Me and the boys really enjoyed it last time but not this time. They were out of filet mignon and basically all the pasta dishes included Mac and cheese from the kids menu. One in our crew has severe for allergies so it severely limited what he could get- hence the dry chicken wings. He was not a happy camper. Then the gf got the chicken bowl which she didn't like at all. My older son got the paella and he liked it the best thing I'd the night was my mahi tacos, the sauce was good. I ordered dessert to go and when my son and I opened it later it was neatly packaged with the ice cream and pineapples separately however the was what looks to e a public hair in the pineapple that we only noticed after we had already eaten some. Bahama Breeze has been around for many years and is now a staple in NJ(this location). They started out great and somewhere along the line the services and food changed. This night we decided on the late night visit since I was in town for a minute. The restaurant appearance has always been nice. It was cold so we didn't sit on the side where the live music was but it does give you the vibe of an island oasis. Due to the economy or people just not wanting to work, there was of course a wait as there was lack of staffing. I believe we waited about 30 minutes then decided to sit at the bar to eat. It was 4 of us so a little challenge to get all of us together seats. We made it work though! Two bartenders and yet another 10 before we were even acknowledged (bad on her part actually think she was drinking with another party). When she did arrive we ordered our drinks, appetizers and had to ask for waters. Imagine now there wasn't many people here in this area and it wa step bartenders. It took about 20 minutes just to get the water brought to us and the. When the appetizers did arrive two were missing. At this time I wasn't sure if I even wanted to stay. The ladies decided to stay and talk as we hadn't seen each other in a while. I ventured out there and ordered the newest item on their menu(waitress said that) the Snapoer. I wasn't disappointed when it did arrive outside of the regular rice that comes with it- you should change that to yellow rice. It was seasoned well, could've had more of that sauce(like an orange lemon sauce) but great overall. No one else ordered anything as they didn't want to chance their food not showing up. We both got the Ultimate Margarita - he had a regular flavored one while I got a strawberry flavored one. Both definitely strong but not too strong, still keeping a good balance so the drink tastes good. We ordered our normal things - Jamaican Jerk Wings and Firecracker Shrimp. We went for my wife's birthday, and i must say it was the worst experience we.ve had in a long time. our server was Mike and we got our waters, ordered our drinks and the ordered our food. we got our food before our drinks and we asked for ketchup 4 times, and finally we saw Mike just standing at the register talking to a co worker. we had to go up to him and ask again. my wife's drink was one of the new ones and she had soda in it when it wasn't listed to have soda, but Mike said it was just part of the recipe when it wasn't listed in the menu. Do Not go if you have food allergies. The ambiance out back is nice with the steel drums playing and fireplace. It is a shame that in today's environment, they cannot accommodate allergies with food. The last time I brought my girlfriend there, she has an allergy to bell peppers. She ordered a dish that does not include that ingredient. We confirmed with our waitress/server and when the food came out, all the way underneath was a long green hot pepper across the whole dish! WTH. What a terrible experience. So I took my friend here for a birthday dinner since it was close to speedway which we were going to afterwards. The host made me aware that they charge a fee for the cake if you wanted them to sing happy birthday which was very surprising because no other restaurant that I go to does that. Our waitress Amira, wasn't busy at all due to the place not being busy yet she kept messing up on our orders, then when we corrected her, her response was "oh I go to a lot of concerts so my hearing is bad". I sent back my margarita because it tasted like nothing but sugar so I ordered a blue moon instead. It really was a breeeeze to dine here. The crab cake lump, the coconut shrimp, and the overall size are amazing. The cinnamon sweet potato mash...has me drooling. Being that it's adjacent to the mall, it has its benefits. While glancing at the latest threads, you can work up an appetite. Bahama Breeze will surely not disappoint. We stopped here randomly as my boyfriend and I were hungry and happened to be in the area, but it was worth the stop needless to say--We waited for about 30-40 minutes for a table as we didn't have one reserved; but it was no biggie because we just walked next door to Maggianos for some drinks because the bar was packed at BB. Our server was Janae who took care of us at table 406; she was pleasant from start to finish, and had a nice flow of service the entire evening. I did order a piece of bread to take home for my jerk shrimp appetizer that I was charged for and never received, but the good outweighs the bad... this literally was the difference between a 4 and 5 star review for me. Came in for a weekday dinner when I was shopping at the Cherry Hill Mall. My friend and I were craving the coconut shrimp that we know and love from here, so we decided to stop in. As soon as we walked up to the host stand, we made eye contact with several associates. It still took quite some time to be greeted and recognized. The hostess that ended up approaching us let us know that there would be about a 10 minute wait. My friend and I were fine with this, so we sat and browsed the menu as we waited. We got a text notification as soon as our table was ready. Once we were sat, we waited for at least 8-10 minutes before a server came over. We had to end up using our tablet at our table to call for service. Once our server came over, she was fairly pleasant. She answered a few questions that we had, but seemed to be a bit inattentive. Since my friend and I had waited some time, we were both ready to order. We waited about 15 minutes for the food ti arrive, which we were happy about. I had gone for two appetizer items for my meal: the Whole Jamaican Jerk Chicken Wings and the Coconut Shrimp Appetizer. I had also ordered a side of the Cinnamon Mashed Sweet Potatoes, which I remember enjoying from visits several years ago. My friend went for three Coconut Shrimp Tacos and a side of the same sweet potatoes. In terms of food quality, both of us were very happy. The Coconut Shrimp was as good as we had remembered. My appetizer order of it came with a delicious sauce that was sweet and tangy. It was different than the usual aioli I was used to, and I'm glad I tried it out. The wings ended up being much better than expected. I tend to be extremely picky when it comes to wings and how they are cooked. The spice rub was extremely flavorful and the side sauce complemented it very well. The wings were fried hard enough to keep the skin crispy without overcooking the inside. Overall, I have mixed feelings regarding this visit. While food quality and speed of service were both solid, the staff needs to improve on customer service. read more

My youngest daughter and myself stopped here on Saturday after doing an outreach project. I was crowed but the service was still great! We didn't wait and was directed to our seat almost immediately. Our food was great! I love salmon so I had the grilled salmon and I'm telling you - whoever the cook was - they need a raise because it was the most flavorful salmon I have ever had and I'm 53 yrs old. When I tell you this will be my last time in this establishment...I mean it. Another guest and myself ordered appetizers which never came. In addition an entree I specifically asked them to remove the mushrooms and it was overloaded with mushrooms when it arrived. I spoke to the first manager who was no help to the situation and lacked empathy all she could say is how she was offended I did not want them to remake it. They kept striking out why would I want anything else? The second manager was the icing on the cake....she would not let me talk she was very rude and she yelled at me in the middle of the restaurant! And to add insult to injury she kicked us out after they kept making our dining experience less than pleasant - great customer service...smh. This was not only a disappointing experience but one that lacked compassion. it is never ever acceptable to yell at a customer especially when they are not yelling at you. However we did observe a male worker come out the restaurant and walk around a bush to smoke. He had on gloves and walked back in with them.
