Came here on a Sunday at about 4:30pm. Was able to be sat inside quickly. Got a Guava Goose Cosmo and a Rumrunner for drinks. Got Jerk Chicken Pasta and Jamaican Jerk Chicken for food. Everything was really good. Server Alexis was very pleasant and the ambiance is cool. Would go here again.
As always, service was fabulous and the food was delicious. We love getting our group together monthly at the Altamonte Springs location. Fun ambiance and good friends.
I know this place is closing and turning into something else but I really enjoyed the service we got here and the food was pretty decent . It was just really expensive even for happy hour. But then again everything is expensive these days. The half off apps helped the price but my wine was pricey. I am looking forward to seeing the new layout of the business as the other restaurant opens!
We love going to happy hour at Bahama Breeze !! This location in Altamonte is closing and will be replaced with another Darden restaurant. The food in the pictures are flavorful, tasty and filling. The price is good too. We will miss the great staff and service from all of the employees .. Thanks for making our family feel welcomed
Surprisingly, I have never been to Bahama Breeze, and when I first went, I found out they would be closing in a month. The environment was nice and calm, which was enjoyable. Jake has been an amazing waiter who communicated effectively about what was good and which meals he suggested! When I tell you about each of these appetizers, they were amazing! The flavor was bursting and the sauces were sweet and savory!
If you're looking for strong, delicious flavor, you've come to the right place. The food is always fresh, service is great, and the portions are incredible. I love their steak salad, and all of the fish options are paired with sides that highlight their flavor profile. You can't go wrong with BB! They also have a super affordable happy hour and the vibes are super chill so you can come in for any occasion.
This is it folks! Your time is almost up to enjoy Bahama Breeze that one last time! This location will be turning into a Yard House (confirmed) in as early as Sept but possibly as late as Dec. The menu has been limited to one page front and back. We got the chicken sandwich, the tropical salad and the Maui tacos. All our favorites and still on the menu. My 10 year old enjoyed the grilled chicken with broccoli and practically licked the plate. This is why I will be so sad to see it go! Everyone ate so well here and we loved the tropical vibes. I will try to sneak in one last time before they close even just for desert. We will miss you Bahama Breeze. We loved everything about you!
We had a really good time visiting this location--hopefully not for the last time. Since they're closing, it definitely sucks, so we knew we had to stop by one more time and enjoy it while we could. This time I finally tried the mahi tacos with French fries, and they were a hit. Everything was really good, and I honestly had no complaints about my order. It came out fresh, tasted great, and was exactly what I was hoping for. The only thing was the seating for our bigger group. We were placed in a round booth tucked into a small corner, and it was a little awkward trying to squeeze in and get comfortable. It wasn't the easiest setup for a larger table, but we made it work and still had a great time overall. And our server, Haley, was very sweet and thoughtful. She was attentive and made sure we were taken care of, which definitely added to the experience. Even with the tight seating, we left happy and glad we came back one more time.
As always the staff are always so kind and friendly. I ordered the tropical chicken salad since I wanted something fresh and not to heavy. The salad was pre-tossed before serving it to me. I would recommend asking for the sauce on the side. Especially if you like just a bit of sauce. I really enjoy the music they have playing while you eat. Literally dancing the whole time to soca and reggae.
I hadn't been to Bahama Breeze in a long while. Family decided to celebrate a birthday here and called ahead to reserve a table for 14, although the actual party size was 11. Reservations are for indoors, however, they were able to accommodate us in the outdoor seating. Seating outdoors is wonderful when the weather is nice, and you get the pleasure of live entertainment - someone is playing music and/or singing. The table was ready upon arrival and seating was immediate, menus provided shortly thereafter. We had a team of 2 servers, I believe that their names are Eduardo and Haley F. After about 15 minutes or so they came to take the drink orders. Once those were placed, they came back to take our entree orders. I decided to go with a modified version of the Island Grill Steak Salad - I ordered it without the corn and black beans along with a side of goat cheese. The ordered came out in a time frame that was reasonable for our party size. All of the orders were correct, and everyone seemed satisfied with their food. The portion sizes were quite reasonable as well, some in the party needed to go boxes. Someone at my table ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken wings and those looked pretty good - if I were to come back, I think that I would With permission, my family was able to bring a birthday cake. When it was time, our servers brought it out to us, Eduardo lit the candles and they started the birthday song. Not long after, upon the server's prompting, the guy doing the live entertainment also played the 'happy birthday' song. All told, we were there about 2 hours and 15 minutes on a reasonably busy Saturday night. It seems that things may have improved over the years. They have $7 drinks on the Happy Hour special and 2 for $25 entree menu so it may be very well worth your while to come check it out or give it another try.
My husband and I have been dining here for years! When we're in the mood for some Island vibes and delicious, delectable food, this is our favorite place! The atmosphere and music is fun! The service is always perfect It's Taco month, and many people wouldn't think to get Tacos, except at a Mexican restaurant, right? Wrong!Bahama Breeze makes wonderful mouthwatering Fish Tacos and Shrimp Tacos, and they don't skimp on anything. If you're hankering for some great Tacos, you must visit Bahama Breeze. By the way, their Seafood Chowder which is savory and creamy goes perfect with Tacos!! YUM and YUM!
Service was good but I felt our server was spread very thin. He would basically ask us a question or bring us something and run away. Food was good. We started off the with yuca cheese sticks and they were very good. The sauces really make it. I got the veggie burger and didn't specifically like it. It came out mushy, but maybe I should've ordered it cooked more. I personally hadn't ever experienced this before but I know it is common to clarify. My burger toppings and the fries were good. My boy friend got the steak and coconut shrimp and really enjoyed that. We ended with the pineapple rum cake dessert. It was good but tasted so strongly of rum. It was basically sitting in a pool of rum. Overall decent experience for a chain restaurant.
I came in with my family, as it has been forever since I've been to a Bahama Breeze. It was a slow night, so service was face and friendly. I ordered the Salmon Tostada Salad, in which I had the Salmon Blackened. The cook was good on the salmon, the tostade had melted cheese which was surprising and good. The salad had a vinegrette that added more flavor than I expected. It's disappointing that the doors are closing soon, as Bahama Breeze makes decent food in my opinion, but are more known for their drinks.

Really great service. Sat outside at first, then went inside because workers by the mall were laying tar on the road. Fumes. Inside is very lovely, so much nicer. Outside is good with a live band performing. Food was great from the late night happy hour menu. I love their deals. read more

Perfection. Incredible staff from greeting to server. Linda was a very very helpful and delightful server. Had the Plantain Bowl and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Yuca Frites. Was very busy. Quick service. Food again was Amazing and perfect. Lovely atmosphere. Will worth the stop. Will do again and again till there are no more. Manager Carlos is amazing. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Wish Darden would reconsider and not change this into Yard House. read more
Unfortunately the Bahama breeze by my house closed so I was really excited to see the one by my mom was still open! So on a recent visit to see her, we decided to stop by for dinner. We got seated pretty quickly and our server was really nice and attentive. We all really enjoyed our food and can't wait to be back! read more

I know this place is closing and turning into something else but I really enjoyed the service we got here and the food was pretty decent . It was just really expensive even for happy hour. We came for their 2 entrees for $25 special. We are so glad we did. Our server made a hard sell for their new dish--Rasta Pasta. We had to try it. Just wow! It is the best dish we have ever had here. We hope they keep it on the menu. It is a spicy African dish with shrimp and sausage served with a spicy cream sauce over fettuccine noodles. read more

So Bahama Breeze is closing this year. Our waiter did inform us that this one will stay open through the year then may become The Backyard. Overall, the food was really good. They did mess up our order but the waiter did take care of that. I felt like the service was really good. This location is always crazy busy for whatever reason. I mean, good for a chain? Great customer service from Patrick. We came all the way from San Antonio, TX to enjoy some Bahama Breeze shrimp and lobster linguine, however they don't have it on the menu anymore. We ordered something different but its not the same when we have been eating it for years. read more
We had a wonderful lunch including shrimp tacos for my friend and grilled chicken w cilantro crema. Our server was attentive, kept our drinks full, table clean and was very friendly. The dishes were delicious, came out quick, my allergy was taken care of and it was a pleasant afternoon. read more

It's a shame every one of these is shutting down, we used to love going here, their grilled fish tacos were pretty decent. Last time we went 2 of 4 of us got sick afterward, possibly from the shrimp. read more
Bahama Breeze is consistently good. This was my first time to the Altamonte location, but like others i've been to, it gives you a comfortable relaxed Caribbean feel. The hostess and server were friendly and efficient and the food and drinks tasty. I ordered the Hot Honey Mango Margarita and shared a coconut shrimp appetizer which was yummy and looks just like the pictures which is good since I forgot to take one. I had the Island Snapper as my entrée; it was well cooked and I enjoyed the mango salsa on top. I got mine without the butter and substituted asparagus for the rice. read more

I typically get the jerk chicken pasta, but today I tried the seafood paella and I'm glad I did! So now I'm probably going to be getting this going forward lol. My girlfriend had the shrimp pineapple bowl and she loved it. The margaritas were all $7 today, except a few. Our server was Natalie and she was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We had not been to Bahama Breeze in a while and this hit the spot. read more

After stating I would never return, my best friend chose BB for our HH. I arrived at 3:50p and we waited till happy hour hit to put in our orders. I only had a pineapple coconut martini which was not overly sweet and had a pleasant taste. The beef empanadas have a stew-like filling rather than the kind my homemade ones are like. They were tasty and the mango chutney gives them an added tang. The yuca fries were good but eat them while they spanking hot so you enjoy the cheese pull. The conch fritters have a good fluffy interior just wait for the pieces of conch which can jar you a bit when eating it. The shrimp with cuban bread is tasty but know the bread is unsliced and it came get a bit tough while sitting in the paper bag but a good soak in the sauce makes it delightful. This location will be revamped with the updates Darden is making which is surprising since this location has always seemed to be very busy read more

Love it! We had a wonderful server. We sat at the bar to have a quick lunch. It's located inside the Altamonte mall lot. The food was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't serve bread on the side. I had to pay xtra to get a mini loaf of cuban bread. The place really felt like your in the Caribbean. read more

Visited the restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed the wings for an appetizer. Then we had ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and an Entre salad. Enjoyed a couple cocktails as well. Restaurant was very busy and clean. When paying our bill, I noticed in the gratuity section the following " Suggested gratuity is calculated after Tax and before discounts". I agree with the gratuity being added before discounts. I DO NOT AGREE WITH TAX BEING CALCULATED AFTER TAX!!! I call this !!! Why should the guest pay 20% of sales tax?? Menu prices have increased double digits and portions have decreased. Hm? This is my second visit of the parent company restaurants. It appears that this practice is in place at the other restaurants as well. Just saying. read more
