Arrived with a reservation and were seated promptly. Was handed the food menu but not the drinks (wine) menu (they gave them to the couple at the other table and had plenty sitting on the shelf. When asked for the wine menu, we were told that there's none as the wine changes weekly. (and it wasn't long until my friend spotted a bottle from Dunnes Stores on the shelf) As I said, they do have a wine menu in the restaurant but also online. I guess they've substituted them with cheaper options charging the same price. The food! Well, my friend asked about the Four Seasons Pizza wanting to know what's on it. The waiter waffled a few ingredients and then said it's not done the Italian way. Puzzled looks on our faces. Why can't we get normal friendly answers when inquiring about wine or food on the menu? Well over 40 minutes late, my friend had asked for another wine by then, again not getting the menu instead a snotty response about not having a wine list, her pizza arrived (Margherita) with "extra" basil (which the waiter promised). However, it was just a bit of decoration in the middle (counting 3 leaves or the tip of a basil stalk). I was still waiting for my bruschetta with salmon, but was served a pizza instead. After a short discussion, (the waiter claiming it wasn't his fault) the pizza went back to the kitchen. My friend was halfway through her pizza when I finally got what I had ordered. We had lost our appetite by then. The bill! Beside two spelling mistakes, it showed 1 EUR extra for the basil and 1 Cent extra for whatever (expected gratitude?) which we happily handed over (to which the waiter commented ("Oh, I didn't think you had 1 Cent") WTF. Oh yes, the wine. According to the bill we had 3 cab sav which was not true either. To sum it up, we were not asked if we wanted dessert or a coffee as it is custom in well-run places. It's a never again from us. read more
