Amazing pizza's

I walk pass Bach 16 about twice a day, yet somehow I had never made it inside, until last night. We were lucky they had a free table on possibly one of the busiest evenings of the year. The place was packed and hence service a little bit hectic/ slow, but ever so friendly! Tables were extremely close, and the couple sitting beside us, may as well been at our table with about 2 cm between us. Cozy! We shared an antipasti veggie plate which was very tasty with a good selection, lots of spinach, artichoke, olives, avocado, sundried tomatoes, brie and plenty of fresh bread. (12€) My pizza with spinach, mushrooms and walnuts was one of the better ones I had this year, it was super thin and plenty of cheese too. YUM! I thought 14€ was a fair price. Wine selection was quite small, they only had a few speciality wines written out on a board. My italian Sauvignon blanc was very good. I shall return!

Dublin at it's best! Genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming place with a high quality wine selection, simple appetizing dishes with refined tastes, great coffees and yummy deserts. 'Bach 16' is a classy yet very laid back hideaway from frantic Bachelor's Walk. You feel the energy change as soon as you walk in and the staff works very hard at creating a pleasing and personalized experience for everyone. Delightful little den!

In Dublin trying to find somewhere to have a sandwich & a glass of wine while my wife shops. It was looking bad until I found Bach 16! It was 4:30pm but the guy made a quality chicken, Italian bacon & cheese panini and served a quality glass of Chilean Cab Sav to go with it. Both really enjoyable so my afternoon was made. The salad & dressing served with the panini were worth the visit alone. Looking forward to my next visit. NB sat outside people watching while I write this!

Amazing service, didn't have to wait to be seated. Small place but very inviting. Had the traditional Irish breakfast. The black pudding is a must try. It was really tasty.

Great place to eat or just enjoy a glass of wine. Can recommend the humous - it was fab! Service great and staff very friendly.

One of hop on/hop off tours stop by this cute wine/cafe. Owners are very friendly wine connoisseurs, get away from pubs & come!

Very nice and quaint atmosphere, good pizza and decent prices. The entire space was being run by two people which was impressive.

South Inner City

On our last day in Dublin, we had an early dinner at Platform 61, which we discovered through Yelp…read more-- so not quite a best-kept secret, but certainly a terrific hangout on South William Street. Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

If you are visiting Dublin or new to the area, Platform 61 is a MUST! Our entire group absolutely…read moreloved everything we ordered (gnocchi, pesto pasta, risotto, cheese board, pork belly) and everyone agreed it was some of the best food we had on the entire trip! The ambiance is very nice as well, romantic but also good for a fun night out with friends. 10/10 recommend adding this to your itinerary for dinner!
