They are quite large and have that perfect crusty outside and chewy inside in a big variety. They gave a generous amount of Pork Roll with their Egg & Cheese, they charged a reasonable price and topped it with a perfect blend of what I'd asked for (Salt Pepper Ketchup and Hot Sauce). I usually order an everything bagel or a bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll and it is always stuffed with lots of ingredients and there is no skimping on the cream cheese! Bagelmania is located right off route 80, which is awesome for me as I commute in NYC now for work, so it is not at all out of my way. Went in and ordered my usual, wheat with cream cheese. Now, when you order a fresh bagel that does not need to be toasted (not a fan of toasting my bagels anyway) because it is warm enough to slightly melt the cream cheese, you are a winner in my book! Comparable to Ridge Road Bagels in Lyndhurst, Goldbergs in Hasbrouck Heights, and Sam's in Rochelle Park - Bagelmania is serviceable but won't knock your socks off. The bagels are large but chewy regardless if it's toasted or not. Toppings for the bagels are standard but I always try the BEC first (bacon/egg/cheese). Their version was stingy on the bacon and overdone on the egg. There was cheese in the middle of the sandwich but not much along the edges. On the second visit I tried it with Taylor Ham. Tried this bagel place by accident yesterday, as I was actually going to check out Wawa but saw Bagelmania en route and figured it would have better bagels. I got a whole wheat everything, and it was much better than others I've tried. It actually had a nice amount of salt, which is one of my main criteria for a good everything bagel (otherwise, it's just onion/garlic/seeds, right?). Finally made it in last weekend, but while reading the yelp reviews I was a bit weary. I ordered two bagels both with eggs, cheese, and bacon. The bagel itself was pretty good, I added hash browns to my fiance's bagel, and he enjoyed it. My biggest problem was the bacon. Don't judge me for my next statement, but it was SUPER CHEAP on the bacon. Between the both of us we probably had 3 slices of bacon total, on both bagels. My fiance even complained about this and he's pretty easy going,he likes everything. I had to end up cooking some bacon for his because it was all bagel and egg! Hopefully, their other bagel sandwiches are better than this one, and not as cheap with the meat. Otherwise, I liked the bagel itself. May give them another try, may not. read more

I've lived in the area for 6 years. I've tried pretty much every bagel shop in the area. This place is on point. Phenomenal bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Owner is a great guy. I've only spoken with him a few times but this is my go to spot. My only knock is they're closed on Sunday's but I recently spoke with the owner and understand why. Ugh. I really wanted to like this place.. I gave them a couple tries but honestly I just don't like the way they make a breakfast sandwich. On the up side, the bagels are pretty good and it's sad that they can't match with the sandwiches. I like how the bagels are on the bigger side and fluffy and doughy tasting. Unfortunately they over fry the eggs, the cheese is non existent and they use may too much oil and the sandwich is a greasy mess. Yes, I know breakfast sandwiches are usually on the greasy side, but this place goes overboard. Getting a hashbrown on your sandwich would sounds like a nice idea but it just ends up being an oily overkill. I always ask for extra egg and they can't even do that. Twice I went in asked for extra egg and sure enough no such thing. I guess if you just go for a bagel and cream cheese it wouldn't be that bad, but not for a sandwich.
