From a slightly dense, chewy tasty and crusty outside to a puffy, white bready, little taste and no crust. Sad, but that seems to be the way of the world. The dough needs to rise and shaped then chilled, overnight is best, then they need to be boiled with some baking soda, or other food grade alkali, to produce a Maillard reaction in the crust. All this takes time and money. To be fair, the staff is friendly, the store is clean and they do have good chicken salad and bagels are generally fresh. No overnighters that I am aware of. So sad to see another one bite the bagel, um er, the dust.....

As someone who was raised by city bagels, I'm usually poised to disdain any other bagel, but this place holds its own. During my short visit, I watched several fresh batches of steaming hot, fresh bagels being poured into the baskets...and then quickly depleting as the weekend crowds ordered them by the dozens. I got a toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese, and it was just perfect. Strong sesame seed coverage, with a light, crispy exterior and beautiful chew on the inside. AND - most importantly - the right amount of schmear. I've seen some reviews knock a star or two because this place doesn't offer breakfast sandwich options, but I imagine adding those to the menu would just slow service down immensely. If you're someone who's not hot on the cream cheese, there's also a variety of spreads, like tuna salad and lox. Some other random details: This looks like an old school joint in every way, but they accept both cash and credit card. There's no seating inside, so plan to either eat in your car or rush home. If you're planning on placing a larger order, they accept advance orders over the phone.

I am not a big fan of bagels but when ever I travel outside of NY/NJ area. I always buy bagels from borderline. My uncle who lives in Boston just love their cinnamon raisin bagels. I go to borderline for their awesome coffee and bacon egg and cheese. Sometimes I see some unhappy workers in breakfast joint like bagel shops. But at borderline I can always get a fast service and smiles. Keep up the good work read more

I was charged by DoorDash and had to dispute the charge myself.
