I went in to the establishment for elite bagels 15 minutes before they closed a couple of weeks ago. The guy behind the counter said I can give you half a dozen bagels for five dollars. I looked him square in the eye and said previously they would just stuff a bag full of bagels and say have a nice day. I wasn't looking for freebies, just what I ordered. He laughed like I was getting a deal. Taking advantage of people for pennies is shameful. I never go in there looking for anything free, sometimes they would just throw a few more in the bag.

Then the price was increased to $1.25/ bagel. I didn't like the 25% price increase...but I went along with it. Now (as of early 2026)...the price of a bagel has been raised again to $1.50/bagel! This is just out of hand. Compared to 2-3 years ago...this is a 50% price increase. How would you like it if the price of a brand new car went up 50% in just 2 years...or the rent on an apartment went up 50% in just 2 years. A 50% price increase in just 2 years is insane!!! For comparison...with $1.50 I can purchase a whole 20oz loaf of bread at the grocery store. Goodbye Georges Hot Bagel. : (

I'd come here just for the drinks. We live almost an hour from here and the food was still tasty/fresh by the time my husband got home. The pandebono was on my list to try and it did not disappoint; a fun twist to a classic BEC. The sandwich of the month was also very good; it's a BLT, with cucumbers, plain cream cheese on your choice bagel. My husband said his wrap was good. We're not the biggest fan of the bagels. They tasted good but we found them a little tough. We prefer chewier bagels but the French toast cream cheese was tasty. The bagels were slightly smaller than others we've had, but were still a decent size. All the food and drinks (excluding the loose bagels my husband ordered) came to about $55 after tax and tip which is a great deal. I wish we lived closer because I'd love to try more of the menu!
