Absolutely amazing bagel spot! My boyfriend and I have been staying in the area for about a week, and we've ended up coming here every single morning because it's just that good. The bagels are always fresh and delicious, and there are so many different bagel and cream cheese options to choose from. Everything we've tried has been incredible, and the coffee is great too. The service is also fantastic! everyone is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. There are only a few tables, but each one has an outlet nearby, which actually makes it a great little spot if you want to sit down, study, work on your laptop, or just relax with your coffee for a bit. It's been a few years since I have eaten here. The place has changed. The bagels look small compared to bagel girls in Chester. I had a bobo on an everything bagel. It came with a small coffee. Don't waste your money here. I spend ten minutes on line every Saturday morning to purchase a single bagel. No dedicated bagel only line, not enough workers and those that do work there don't appear to be concerned with patrons. Today I wait and ask for a single bagel. They tell me that they have no more of that particular style (sesame, very common) and I ask if they will be making anymore. I got a blank stare and then after asking again another worker (who I believe is the owner) tells me no. 9 AM on a Saturday morning and you no longer have a sesame bagel????? Almost went here until I checked the Department of Health website and saw this place had a 14A critical violation for insects, rodents and other vermin amongst other Health Department Violations. To start my review, used this business several times both recently and throughout the years before i started writing reviews. Always gotten their bagels, and every time they have been great! I also eat bagels at room temperature, so no need for them to toast it. Went here with my dad on Saturday August 3rd 2024 to pick up some bagels for our ride to wildwood. We got a dozen bagels, 4 plain, 4 everything, 2 poppy, and a couple others. They have a whole variety of Bagels, including Pumpernickel, red velvet, plain, everything, poppy seed and more! Person who took care of us was also nice, and we were taken care of right away. We enjoyed our bagels for breakfast that day, as we ate at home. Price wise it wasn't bad either. While the previous owners were just OK, this new owner is ripping the customers off with less received for more money. This place was always expensive and you never knew how much you would spend because it always came up differently, depending on who served you. Now it's not worth the money at all. There is poor service, no quality interaction, no smile, no hi, and not even a thank you. OK, I am there for a bagel I get it, but on top of all this, the product quality has been reduced. Unfortunately, there are only two options for bagels in this area, and I cannot say much good about this one. Today I added bacon to my bagel for $3 and if you look at the picture you see what I received. The bagels are very good and theirs always a line when I go there in the mornings whenever I get a chance to go there. I mean it's the closet shop to me since the best bagel place is Rockland bagels, but like I said it's closer than driving to Rockland. The only issue I have is pricing. I mean $12 plus dollars for a dozen is way too much for a dozen in my opinion where as I can get a dozen for under $7 at Rockland bakery. I have lived in Monroe for about a year and I have been going to a Bagel Boys the whole time. I decided to try this place with my girlfriend because I had never been there. I couldn't believe how bad the service was. The one guy takes my order and disappears into the back while my girlfriend is standing there. Three girls are literally laughing and skipping around the store, eating, and drinking coffee. We had to ask if she could order and they gave us attitude. All of that and, while not bad, the food is better at Bagel Boys Never going back unless its to order food and leave while it's being made. Very disapointing. I have lived in the area for over twenty years, going back and forth between here and Bagel Boys completly dependant on which direction on 17 I am going in. Coming from NYC having decent bagel is a must. I Will give them credit where it is deserved. They have very good bagels. But at what cost? While standing directly in front of the register. The girl looking off into the distance and speaking to her co-workers. 4. Even after ordering another coffee without asking for a refund she then began to ring me up for my already purchased items. 5. Once we finally cleared up the confusion she began to SHAKE HER HEAD AND POINT HER FINGER IN MY FACE. I paid for my second cup of coffee and left. I consider myself very easy going and mild tempered. I have never on my life felt so disrespected and belittled over something as trivial as a cup of coffee and a bagel. I will never return to this establishment and I will spread this on every social media I can. The customer is not always right. Years of serving the public has taught me that. Delicious bagels and great service. HOWEVER, the seating area is disgusting - dirty and destroyed. This place needs a bit of a facelift. If I want to come here with my family on a weekend, I get seriously grossed out sitting down to have our breakfast because I don't want my kid sitting on the ripped cushions or at the sticky, crumb filled tables. I was very disappointed that on a very solemn day in Monroe when we were paying tribute and laying to rest a member of our community, an NYPD Officer, where thousands and thousands came to show their respect, where a sea of blue extended beyond where the eye could see and many were in the lot where Bagel World happens to be.
