Egg Salad Egg Sandwich on a Bagel
Tina T.

This place sits on a corner a few blocks from Prospect Park. There is a counter to order at with outdoor seating only. I stopped in on a busy Sunday around lunch. The first question you'll get after ordering any breakfast sandwich on a bagel is "toasted or untoasted." This is generally not an easy question from bagel place to bagel place, but here let me assure you that bagel does not need to be toasted. It has a firm crust with a fluffy chewy interior - just a fantastic bagel. If I find myself in the area again I would absolutely come back.

Egg & cheese on a whole wheat everything with a hash brown

I loved bagel world. The staff were all very polite and made sure I had everything I needed, asked how I take my coffee, and were fast and efficient. I opted to sit inside, which I was pleased to have to option of. It's pretty small so I'd understand if they didn't want to squeeze in tables, but I enjoyed having a slow morning and eating my breakfast while doing the NYT mini. I got to see a lot of dogs stroll by too because of the outdoor ordering window, which is a lovely feature. Overall, great find!

Cream cheese flavors

We loved this place so much that we had to stop by both mornings while we visited. They don't have a huge selection of bagel flavors, but the ones they do have are delicious. I tried cinnamon raisin and blueberry, both with the cinnamon walnut cream cheese and it was amazing. I also got a Green Man smoothie that was great. I wanted to try the pastries and muffins so badly but didn't get the chance. Service was always very fast and friendly, even on a busy Saturday morning.

Delicious flavorful creative variety of cream cheese combinations. Didn't know i needed bacon cheddar cream cheese in my life !!!

Great old fashion customer service! Came for a cup.of coffee and stayed for a bagel and fancy cream cheese. Didn't know I needed bacon cheddar cream cheese in my life!

Nice bagels in a friendly setting! The employees seemed to know a bunch of regulars by name on the morning I came in, creating a warm and happy vibe. I grabbed a poppy seed bagel and it was quite good and the price was fair. Ate it across the street at the lovely park and I highly recommend!

The Joker

I got "The Joker" and it was pretty good. The person taking my order was kind and patience. The decor didn't have any thing related to Batman as Yelp had described beside the menu item names. Would definitely come back again!

Spreads, bagels, part of the menu....EXCELLENT!

If you like bagels, this is your spot. If you like fillings the way I do, this is DEFINITELY your place!!! From the moment, I crossed the threshold to the moment, my senses were amazed... the big menu boards, the beautiful spreads and other things, the smell of freshly baked bagels, and the sound of customers discussing their selections and being served. The service was exceptional! Come check it out folks!

Egg & cheese with hash brown.

GREAT BAGELS!!! I was in the neighborhood and wanted a bagel, and I am glad I went here. I got an egg&cheese with a hash brown on a sesame bagel and it was out of this world. Awesome texture and taste. Eggs and cheese were cooked perfectly. The place inside is cozy and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.

Loved the cream cheese to bagel ratio! Great location and quick service- it was just packed the day we got there. I would come again to try another bagel.

Taim - OG Falafel Pita sandwich

I have been a big fan of Taïm since their days as a lonely outpost in the Village. Since that time…read morethey have turned into a franchise and locations are popping up in some of the most unexpected places. While walking down Hoyt Street in downtown Brooklyn I saw the Taïm logo out of the corner of my eye and I knew I had to check it out. This location is located at the base of a new(ish) residential building and I found myself thinking about how great it would be to have a Taïm right downstairs from where I lived! The interior is an open space with bright colors and light wood decor that is comforting and welcoming at the same time. To the right is a small counter at the window and there are seats to the left. Further on towards the right is a counter where you order via a screen. Near that is the "pick up" shelf for online orders. The counter and kitchen are towards the back. Overall it is a nice set up. Of course, the question one asks when visiting a franchise location is: is the food as good as I remember from the original? I am happy to report it IS! Here's what I had: Green Falafel This is the traditional falafel that first had me fall in love with Taïm. It is made to order so it is fresh. The outside is nice and crisp while the inside is still soft (but not chewy). The flavor is on point thanks to some fantastic seasoning. Add in their Tahini and Whipped Garlic and it's a wonderful dish. Harissa Falafel As you'd expect, this is basically their regular falafel with some spicy harissa seasoning added in. There is a nice bite this adds to their already awesome flavor. Pita with Hummus The pita bread in this combo is topped with Za'atar seasoning, giving it an extra savory flavor. The hummus is not plain, instead it is also seasoned giving it some nice flavor. Now, it does not beat the likes of Hummus Kitchen or Hummus Place, but for fast casual it is very good! The pita bread was soft and chewy with fantastic flavor. A perfect vehicle to deliver Hummus! I was very happy to find this location and will definitely visit again.

I wanted them to know there was plastic in the food in hopes of preventing others from eating plastic, and I wanted a refund since my meal was inedible after finding a foreign object in it (I was less than halfway done). The manager Kim looked at the plastic and looked at me like I had five heads and asked what it is I wanted it. I explained I'd like a refund, and she said best she could do was give me 30% back. I said there was plastic in my food, and I couldn't eat it and I wanted a full refund. She went on to tell me that their food is wrapped in plastic and it's possible it got in the food. She then held the plastic top to the container my meal was served in and said "well, this is plastic" implying that there was no difference between something being served IN plastic and plastic being MIXED IN my food. It's concerning a manager of a food establishment would be so flippant about patrons ingesting foreign objects. I was honestly so shocked by her behavior that I said she was crazy to suggest that and walked out with no refund at all. I would honestly stay away from here if you care about your safety and well being.

There is bar seating as well as a variety of tables and chairs, making this place ideal for a meet up. I ordered the iced Organic Matcha Milky Strawberry with almond milk, and regular sugar. One thing I liked about these tablets is that it did have some recommended suggestions of what the best milk and sugar level would be for each drink. I found this drink was a little boring and wish I had ordered a topping like cheese foam in addition to it, but was served in a cute plastic mason jar looking cup. My friend got the Creamy Real Taro Paste Bobo with organic oat milk, milk tea and light ice. I had also selected the option to sample the Taro, but sadly was not offered any. This drink was much more exciting and I really enjoyed the unique flavors and texture when I got to try several sips of it. Again, one thing that really stood out was the variety of selections one could make when customizing their drink. This place looks like it has rotating/seasonal options and an interesting food menu as well and so I do plan on returning!
